    It's gone, it's finally gone, I have got that bit off (plus the bit I put back on over the last couple of weeks :o) and I am finally under the next stone. I've not seen this number on the scales for over 7 years, still a long way to go but now under the next stone!!!

    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    Oh hope everyone else is doing well :D
    Woo Hoo well done lil-me:T
    MrsM what would we do without you selflessly spending the afternoon on the sofa in the name of research on our behalf:D

    Not quite so saintly today but its by no means a disaster :)

    B: Porridge and apple
    L: Cheese and pickle baguette
    S: Chocolate Rocky biscuit thing
    D: Oven baked breaded hake with HM potato wedges and mushy peas

    Not massively sinful but just a bit more fat and carb heavy than I would normally have

    Congrats to all you clever people who have lost weight today :T .

    Recovering my thoughts are with you. No probs with my DD but DS2 was a nightmare and ended up being ordered out to go and live with my ex. That didn't last long (no suprise there!) and he soon got himself a bedsit. I felt dreadful but it was like a cloud lifting after he's gone, everyone relaxed. Several years on and he's a joy to be with, good job and love him to bits.

    Well DD and I went to Tai Chi today but I think I prefer Yoga. I just can't control 4 limbs doing different things at the same time, end up totally confused. The little grey cells just can't cope :D .

    MRSM and Cheerfulness I'm also with you on the awkward pepper front. My neighbours gave me a chilli and a pepper plant last year but neither did well. No greenhouse and think the summer too cold for them. The pepper produced fruits the size of currents but that was it :o . Hope you have better luck.

    I think the tadpoles are hatching despite the hail battering them. They seem to be grouping together now. Come on chaps I've got lots of lovely slugs and bugs for you to chomp when you grow up :D .

    So far only eaten as planned today but no idea what to get for tea. DH a vegi, and since joining Chicken Out campaign and not able to get my paws on any Free range in Asda, the rest of us have been joining him with his Quorn fake chicken. Very low fat too so may use some in a stir fry with noodles, lots of veg and sweet chilli sauce. Yes that's decided, talked myself into it.

    I am so impressed with you monthly planners that I've decided to have a go myself and try to reduce our grocery bill. If I can cover the cost of chicken wire round our hedges (to keep out cats) from the grocery budget I will be a very happy bunny. The dogs caught a cat last year (crazy thing still comes in) and I dread them killing one if I don't see it in time.:eek: :eek: :eek:

    Have a good evening all, must go and find the carpet again, lurking under the dog hair!!!!!

  • Well done lil-me and rosewood:T Thank you to all of you for your kind words - I have had a good day foodwise so that I must be learning something because a few weeks ago stress like this would have brought on several binges by now so that's one good thing..

    I had new blinds fitted this afternoon and had totally forgotten that the man was coming so had to blitz round cleaning all the windows, which were shamfully minging with muck so that was a good few calories burned off I hope! the new blinds make the place look so much brighter - they are white (verticals) whereas the other ones were cream and I thought they always looked dirty even when I had cleaned them.

    Haven't decided what to make for tea - I have to use up the red cabbage I braised the other day but am not sure what I fancy with it. I really feel like roast chicken but haven't got any of that so I might have to have the fish bake out of the freezer, but I just don't fancy it somehow. I have 500g pack of extra lean mince in the freezer but don't know if that would thaw in time, but I could fancy that cooked with carrots and onions in a gravy.....

    Still don't know if DD1 is returning home from college this evening - she has work in the morning though so needs to come in at some point for her uniform.

    Hope you all have a nice evening.

    P.S. I know that the new Delia programme is weird and the stuff is outrageously expensive and silly, but that 5 ways chilli she made the other night looked lovely - Not her recipe because I can make my own chilli, but the idea of serving it with little bowls of side dishes (5 of them) - grated cheese, crackers(instead of rice), sour cream, pinto beans and chopped red onions looked really yummy - I think I might have a go at making some this weekend.

    Hi all

    Quickly in and out just for food diary - was hit by pmt munchies bug and ate more than intended, and tonight there is some pudding with custard in the pipeline so it is gonna be a BIG Flexy day!

    Breakfast: 1 sm slice wm bread, 1 frylight fried egg, strawberries and blueberries with large blob of vlf cottage cheese

    Lunch: pasta salad with chopped tomato, 1 oz feta, 1 1/2 oz avocado

    Snack: 2 clementines, 1 chopped banana with lowfat peach yogurt topping.

    Dinner (planned) brown basmati rice, chick pea and veg casserole, apple and rhubarb with custard (will make half soya milk and half water but there will be sugar to be contended with, as I do not use sweeteners!)

    Wish me luck, weekend at the in-laws coming up, in pudding-heavy Yorkshire!

    Will catch up after Monday, love to all and keep up the good work!

    Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • hello all :wave:

    caterina you've got me thinking about what i could have with custard now...!!

    recovering sounds like you're having a hard time with DD, have to say i was a right cow as a teenager, not any more :D it will get better i'm sure.

    mrsm you are so good to us spending all afternoon doing research purely for our benefit ;) what a saint you are :D

    jackie your DS2 sounds just as clumsy as my DS, always bumping his head :rolleyes:

    npsmama thanks for the recipe, sounds yum! :p

    well done all the losers :T :T :T

    the wedding dress hunt went well :D:D the lady in the 2nd shop we went to made me try ones she picked out for me as well as one i liked but she also asked my budget first so she could disregard any over that. she was fab and totally honest with me. ended up with a dress which i had said no to but she said she thought it'd look good on :o haven't put the deposit down as she likes people to go away and think for a few days. if i decide yes then call her for a refit. but i've decided already, i'm in love :happyhear after i'd tried that on everything else paled by comparison. white suited me rather than ivory altho MIL2B joked it was perhaps a little controversial given the existence of DS :rotfl: and the dress is £225 under the budget OH set me ;) and when you add the veil i want on (£209 :eek: ) i'm still under :D:D i'm such a good girl.

    anyway enough waffle now.
    hope you've been good today folks

    oh and mrsm yes i am now going at the weight loss with renewed vigour! altho the dress has a corset style back so it sucked most of the flab in, just the bingo wings that HAVE to go!

    I've lost 2lbs.

    So i think that so i think thats 1-2lbs to go back to the weight I lost with you guys.
    So you can make that another 5lbs to loose for the may day target.

    I have ate half a cornish pasty, 2 jaffa cakes, loads of grapes, i've just nicked a few chips off the kids plates and a bite of fish lol.

    for tea i have fish and chips mushy peas.
    Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
    Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:

    Congratulations losers!

    Recovering...hugs

    Lost a scant pound...wasn't a naughty girl really this week but obviously need to move the flab around a bit more to make a difference

    To day I have eaten:
    Small serving porridge with sugar and milk;
    Cup coffee;
    Deep fried cod with mash and tartare sauce...OH treated me, nice but came with mushy peas which I do not like very much;
    Small piece foccacia.

    Will try to stick to fruit for rest of day as have had neither fruit nor vegetable to-day...

    Good luck to all
