Good News...Have used up 2 lemons lurking in the fridge.

Bad News...they're in a lemon drizzle cake sitting on the kitchen counter with 16 fresh bread rolls!

    Hi All

A bit of a different day today as OH had to take someone to Malaga airport and I came along for the ride. He didn't have any breakfast so was starving by the time we'd got our passenger checked in so treated himself to a coffee and sandwich. I'd had breakfast so didn't really need anything but stupidly bought a kitkat and Coke from the machine and then realised I'd had more calories than I would have done with a proper satisfying lunch!! Oh well, I shall just have to wait till the evening to eat again now.

Still very wet here so no walks in the offing - which I am really missing. I managed an average of 10,000 steps of exercise every day last week - this week my average daily exercise is about 500 steps. I should really cut down on what I've been eating to compensate but haven't managed that yet.

B: Muesli mixed with fruit and fibre, raisins and skimmed milk.
L: Coke and 2 fingers of KitKat (at least I managed to give OH other 2 fingers).
    Snack: Banana, Orange
D: Chicken breast and mushrooms and I think I may try some SW wedges as never had them and they sound quite good. Strawberries.

Congratulations on hitting your target Taplady. Well done on all the exercise those who have managed it.

Queenpig I usually wear contact lenses and have managed without glasses for years as I can now read comfortably with no lenses in. However, if I've taken my lenses out and then watch something on tv I've dug out some old glasses. They were a free pair around 15 years ago and looked pretty stupid then. Now they look amazingly stupid as they are very large and round with heavy frames but I can't be bothered to fork out for any new ones. It's a good job OH loves me - he even says I look cute in them!!

Hi all, love reading all your postings, they brighten even the dullest day.

Just recovering from shock and had to have a sugar fix of cuppa and largest fig and date in the cupboard. Why? DS4 has cleaned and tidied his computer desk and is saying it will be his bedroom and work table tomorrow!!!!!!!!! And he's 17 . What is wrong with him??????????? I never said a word, honest.

Had a good morning shopping for some stretchy trousers for tomorrows Tai Chi with DD. Couldn't find anything higher than my hips and didn't fancy tummy hanging over waistband everytime I stretch :rotfl: . About to leave JJB when I spotted a Sale rail in Junior section and found a pair of joggers reduced from £20 to £6 for 12/13yr old. Joy of joys they fit me great, just the right length too. I used to live in Asda mens XL joggers up until a few months ago and am still amazed at how much I've shrunk. Made a new folder on computer yesterday called 'Fat Photos' and put all last years holiday snaps in plus the 'before' photos I got DS to take when I started to change my lifestyle. Note not diet but lifestyle. I hope this time it's for good because I've got rid of all my old clothes to charity and so will have to go naked:eek: if I put it back on again, and even Gok Wan couldn't make the old me look good.

Wish the weather would warm up as desperate to start planting more veg. Have a pond full of tadpoles about to hatch and have been worried silly incase the poor things die of hypothermia. Every windowsill covered with seedlings and I need to get my runner beans started before the autumn!!

Breakfast: oatabix, grapes, half banana, set yogurt and flaked almonds with semi skimmed milk and fruit juice.
Lunch: potato and beetroot salad, rhubarb yogurt
Tea: 2 sausages with spanish rice (red pepper, peas, garlic, onion, rice, turmaric and seasoning) with small piece of wholemeal bagette.
Plus the snack to help with the shock.

Keep up the good work all, and if it's been a bad day remember it's over, gone, finished. Now is a fresh start!

    Evening all,

    Today I have eaten:

    2 large stewed apples with natural yogurt;

Ravioli with spinach and ricotta in cream sauce with toasted pine nuts...was delicious but very sinful....followed by chocolate brownie with raspberries and vanilla ice-cream; litre of water, glass of Tokay wine and small taster of an Austrian pudding wine.....anyone realise that I was out ( in Avoca) for lunch???

Spaghetti olio e aglio with parma ham, little lf cheese and tomatoes.

Still feeling stuffed, need to do a 10k run to have any hope of losing anything at WI tomorrow...still had a lovely lunch and great chat with old friend I don't see often enough!

    Good luck everybody

    Hi

Thanks Cheerfullness and Taplady! I have had an ok day again today eating wise, but tomorrow is my really going for it day as I am starting running again.

For me, running shifts more weight than healthy eating alone, so I am going to run twice a week (when I lost weight 12 months ago, I was running for 35 mins twice a week and the weight fell off - why oh why did I stop!!!!!!).

I will let you know how I get on.

I love this thread. It is so motivational and everyone seems so nice.

You'll love it here donnap :D I could never have kept going without everyones encouragement on here. ;)

Taplady - confession. 4 crackers and a little cream cheese made it into my mouth. :o:o I'm not sure if I needed them or not. I'm so good at kidding myself on. Feel very stuffed now so I'm guessing I didn't need them.

Nevermind, next week I'll be back to normal... DS1 and mum and dad will be home and OH won't be working silly hours to get this contract finished.

At least when DS1 is back I'll get, 'oi, put that back!' everytime I try to snaffle some food I shouldn't. :p

Away to have a nice hot bath and pampering session and tell myself a hundred times I can do this! :o
I just can't get chocolate brownie with raspberries and vanilla ice-cream out my head. :p What a wonderful combo. :D
