Oohh like fridge biscuits.. didn't think of that. Might give that a whirl as I'm 'borrowing' a child tonight (little nephew) as the house is too quiet. He loves twinks hobnobs. :)

You could borrow my ds and his trombone, melodeon and drum kit if it's too quiet for you. That might cure you. The only reason I cope is because I a) like the sound of his trombone and melodeon b) he doesn't play his drums that much c) we have a long narrow house, so I can stay in the opposite end!

Morning everyone! Well have had a couple of bad days (don't ask me why but I bought a multi pack of Nik Naks, DS turned round and said he didn't like them......I ate them til I felt sick :o). Anyhow me and bessie mate have decided we deserve a holiday - on top of the one we're taking with the kids - we want a week us grown up us time and are lucky enough to be able to afford it. So we're off to Lesvos back end of August and I absolutely HAVE to get in shape for that.

I've been debating whether to join a gym............but the year contract really puts me off, if I could go for 4 months in run up to hols I'd be fine. So tonight I'm going to drag my rowing machine out of the garage AGAIN and have a bash on that. And of course it's salsa tomorrow. Got to keep trying til I find the thing that fits me I reckon.

B = nothing! Was in a meeting at porridge time
L = just eaten my HM pea and ham soup but am still very hungry so expect I'll have something else
D = couscous and steamed veg - as it needs using up.

Have a good day whatever you're up to
    xx

When you set your rowing machine up, put a picture of the beach out of the brochure there so you can see it for every row ;)

In the run up to the wedding I found thinking about not having to hold my stomach in while walking up the aisle prompted extra sit ups :p

    Anyway...
Not too well today, have cracking headache, sore throat and cough :( Food today has been porridge.
    An apple.
Lunch will be soup with a roll (as I couldn't be bothered to make myself anything so dug into the freezer)
Tea is turkey lentil and sweet potato curry (in the slow cooker) - but I'm not even sure if I'll want it :o

Last night we had smoked pork sausage, frozen peas, smash and bisto :p But have used the slow cooker today ;)

Just want to curl up and sleep... but am at work

    Afternoon all,

Just on last chew of my breakfast....wasn't hungry earlier and then DD4 asked me to take her to doctor so only back 10 minutes ago...he thinks she might have appendicitis...lovely 4 weeks before finals! Had a beautiful onion sandwich, will have some stewed apple later as I don't fancy cold fruit to-day...we are having either fish or carbonara for dinner, haven't decided, fish will be with peas and salad, carbonara just with salad.

Mrs MC...good on you with the gardening, have to transplant some peas and beans to-day as I love beans I will put most of them in pots in greenhouse, too early here to transplant out...going away for all of June and some of May is making me think about what to plant when...might not have such a bountiful harvest as I would like.

    Have a good day all

Why did I automatically think of the chemist & start humming "YMCA"?

Nix143 - have you got a council run gym nearby or a leisure centre? You can usually pay each visit instead of foking out for the year.

    Hi everyone,

Yesterday was a not so bad day, today, so far hasnt been a good day, but, Im not going to let it get me down. Still have the munchies from being ill at the weekend. I am also so very very tired, and feeling very lazy and cant be bothered cooking proper food.

Breakfast today was Crunchy nut cornflakes with s/s milk & a coffee

Lunch - Thorntons fudge pieces chocolate bar, a bit of an easter egg and a packet of crisps:o :o .

Im nipping it in the bud now, and Im determined not to have anything else rubbish today. Im need to get my finger out, after all, i will be so cross with myself when the nice weather comes in and I cant find into any of my summer clothes.

Dinner tonight will be Chicken pasta bake. Never made it before, so, fingers crossed it will taste nice.

    Jackie xx

hi, has anyone been watching the old fashioned way of dieting on channel 4?? it was on last night at 9pm.
well, the interesting thing i found was the edwardian dieters were allowed to eating any thing they liked, but they had to chew each mouthful 32 times.....
but each week they have come out as the highest losers........
is it anything to do with the brain not realising we are full until 20 mins after scoffing a dozen cream cakes....lol
