lemonage scone? That's a new one on me... I'm intrigued. :D

ooow ay, they wouldn't be Twinks hobnobs, would they? Does anyone know if they'd freeze. Love my home baking but it all has to be freezable or I get greedy.

If anyone is interested there are some lovely recipes from weelz over on the OS versus 'something' thread for pates. They cost pence and freeze for packed lunches. I'll see if I can get the link.

    Cheerfulness

Im sure i have read somewhere that folks freeze twinks hobnobs in raw balls and then just take out how many they want at a time -so you get fresh baked every time.... ;)

Oohh like fridge biscuits.. didn't think of that. Might give that a whirl as I'm 'borrowing' a child tonight (little nephew) as the house is too quiet. He loves twinks hobnobs. :)

think im going to take myself into town and get some valerian tabs, i swear by them but they quite expensive but if they stop me stuffing my face they are worth it!!

    Hello everyone

Hope you are all having a nice day. Today I'm 62.7 apparently. Although I don't think I ate badly yesterday and went for a 4k walk at lunchtime I ate my dinner very late as I was waiting for my BF (who then didn't show up anyway cos he had to work late argh!).

I've been suffering from free lunch syndrome this week and last though. My friend has organised a course at work. I'm not an attendee but when everyone has finished she gives me a call and I nip up and get a free feed. This is very MSE but not very slimming and all the food I would otherwise be eating for lunches etc is piling up in my fridge and freezer. Just as well I have a mini food mountain as my budget went a bit to pot last week as well and not having to buy more groceries will be a good thing.

HI again, here`s the recipe for lemonade scones, i think it was Aussielass and squigglydiddly who both posted the recipe

    Lemonade scones
    16oz SR flour
    8fl oz double cream
8 fl oz lemonade (dont use diet)

mix the cream and the lemonade in a jug then add it to the flour until a dough is formed. roll out cut into scones don`t twist the cutter as it stops them rising.

cook gas mark 4/ 180*C for about 10/15 mins

The hobnobs are twinks and yes they freeze lovely, i freeze them once they are cooked though, they thaw in 20 - 30 mins and i`ve been known to eat them frozen :D

    Hey all!

Only 3 days until OH and I go to France for a week, so am trying to be good to make up for the bread / cheese / wine i'll be quaffing over there!

Last night we were good, garlic chicken w/ rice and salad.
SF Angel Delight for dessert (trying to use up vat of milk!)

    Today:
    B: 2 x wholemeal w/ lime marmalade
L: noodles, veg, beetroot and an orange
D: mushroom ommellette (maybe Mushroom and ham) with a sprinkling of cheese and beans

Have a lovely day everyone. It's gorgeously sunny but very cold here! x
