Afternoon everyone, things are going OK for me at the moment because work is not too stressful. Its usually when things get hectic that my eating hits the wall.

    Anyway, today is

    B: banana and an apple
L: HM veg and barley broth
D: HM Singapore chow mein (very little oil and no rubbish just fresh veg and a few prawns)
S: plums and apples if I get peckish

After I wrote my post yesterday I had a small portion of HM plum crumble which I thoroughly enjoyed and don't feel like I have ruined everything because I had eaten sensibly all day

    Hi All,

Pouring with rain here again today so I am beginning to feel a bit cooped up with no exercise. We went out to a big supermarket earlier just for a trip out as we needed some fuses for the car. I treated myself to 2 pairs of shoes - one wedge heeled sandals and the other a pair of jelly shoes to wear in the sea. Got the pair for €12.90 which is around £10 so a good bargain.

I succumbed to baking some scones after we got back - and have had a taste of the mixture. I won't be as tempted by them once they are baked so shouldn't have done too much harm to the food intake.

It looks like it's going to be another afternoon surfing the net or curled up on the settee with a book. Hope everyone is feeling better after their lapses etc.

B: Muesli with raisins and skimmed milk. Pineapple juice.
    L: HM carrot soup. Banana
    Snack: Scone mixture. Orange
D: Tagliatelle with mushrooms and cheese.

I think that you have summed up what we should all be doing! I always get the idea that I have ruined everything if I have even a little bit of non-diet food and this then this triggers my kamikaze mentality and I eat all kinds of stuff, thinking "Oh I'll go back on my diet tomorrow" - which is why I am in the state I'm in weight wise! Well done for eating normally - I wish I could get the hang of it!

    I remembered to eat today..

a plum for breakfast.. on the run.. hey at least it was food!!
half a pack of pasta n sauce with tiddles for lunch.. I never ate tiddles she had the other half!! then she had a boiled egg, a cereal bar and a packet of crisps!! I had a cuppa.

Dinner tonight we are having mash with savoury mince plumped out with red lentils so I can hopefully get another meal out of it for everyone!

That is me. I know exactly what I need to do and how I'm going to do it, eating and exercise wise. What I can never decide is when I am going to start. I keep laspsing and then saying I'll start tomorrow (after an evening binge).

I am really going to start tomorrow and have my weigh in on a Wednesday and stop debating which is the best day to weigh in.

Will someone ask me how I'm doing tomorrow please? I know it sounds stupid but it will mean I doing give up and decide to start Thursday instead!!!!!

    Hope I have made sense!

    Afternoon all :D

Recovering.... I used to do just the same thing as you :D

It has taken me until this attempt to lose weight to finally realise that my usual approach to weightloss is completely doolally tap

I used to ban just about everything and put food into 2 catagories.. good and bad... the minute i had 1 "bad" item -it was game over and i figured that since i had blown it i may as well give up....what WAS i thinking?

This time..i have what i want, when i want and have banned nothing and because of that i am naturaly choosing healthier options... (apart from this weekend :p where carby got the better of me) It wasn't even because i wanted them-just because i was being lazy :o

At one time i would think hmmm "what SHOULD i have?" rather than what do i want... but all that happened was i would eat say - an apple instead of a piece of pork pie... wouldn't be satisfied, so i'd eat say a slice of toast...still not happy and in the end i would still end up with the pork pie... having eaten even more cals before it
When it does finally click into place that everything is ok in moderation (which i used to think was a swear word :p )..it is such a lovely feeling, and suddenly all the pressure is gone :T

Well i got out earlier and have set some, watercress, spinach, spring onions, raddishes n carrots :D so thats me happy...how sad can you get :p
Didn't end up with a salad for lunch:o had a couple of huge jaffas instead nomnomnom

    Hello and welcome skintmumof3

right i had better get off again...keep up the good work everyone :D
