hello!
Today is a strange one - I have customers in at work so I'll have to eat with them - we have a buffet type thing at lunchtime and I usually have to take them out in teh evening for dinner - really don't want to tonight though, I'm really tired- didn't sleep well at all last night and I'm just not in a very good mood IYKWIM.

Yeah!!!!:T :T :T
Customers are too tired to go out and just want a quiet night!!
Brilliant - means I can go home, walk the doggy, watch the soaps and have a reasonable tea rather than some great big scary calorie laden restaurant meal! You really can get sick of eating out you know!
Much better mood now!
What to have for tea though? Not prepared for this - will investigate the fridge when I get home.0 -
Hi,
Feeling much better today, and Im afraid appetite is back with avengance (sp). I no longer look like ive got 2 rounds with Mike Tyson, my eyes were so swollen you would have though I was in a fight. Not a very nice sight im afraid.
Anyway, meals today have been healthy, but, ive had the snack attacks all day, so, Ive just went with it because I havent really eaten very much since Friday.
I feel very bloated today, so, im afraid I weighted myself on my new scales and my old ones, and both of them give me different weights, and depending on where I sit the scales (both sets) depends on what weight they tell meDoes anyone else have this problem or is it just me. Its really annoying me, so much so, that I was thinking, maybe I should just go back to my slimming class which I really dont want to do however, I dont know how to get a true weight.
Going to have HM soup and HM rolls for dinner tonight.
I need advice about pancakes. I cannot make them!!!!! I dont know what I do wrong, but, when I put the mixture into the frying pan, and try to swirl it about so its not gooey on the top so I can turn it, it just falls to pieces. I wanted to make the kids savory pancakes cos they really like the findus crispy pancakes, but, I thought it would be healthier it I made my own. Can anyone give me any tips please.

I always know when I am eating properly because I am always ready for my breakfast - rest of the time I am always still bloated and sick feeling from the food hangover from the night before.
That was me to a T recovering. We're learning gradually, tho , aren't we? I have still done it a couple of times but with 'real' dinners and getting greedy with my portion sizes but its a rarity these days.
(happened twice last week tho saying that.

You're right about being ready for you breakfast too. That has to be one of my main joys of the day.. the knowing that you didn't overdo it the night before and that you actually NEED that breakfast. Its the little things that please me.
Glad to see you back MRSMC and hope you feel better soon.Once the weather is better you'll feel great skipping around your garden tending your veggies.
My cucumbers are up today... a very proud moment!Everythings coming through so quickly.. I'm in seventh heaven. :j :j Courgettes and beans to sow next.
Right, OH had his tea so ready for the interrogations of how his day went.I've just had my smoked haddock... salmon was off when I unwrapped it. Very cross with Morrisons... am very suspicious of reduced fish but the haddock was excellent.

Hi Jackie
You need a really small amount of oil - about the size of a 10p piece, let the pan get smoking hot and your ready to go - the first one may be ropey, but you can do another 2 or 3 and then do the oil again. Also a non-stick pan makes life so much easier0 -

I've been like that this weekend, so busy decorating /building shelves etc I forgot to have any lunch yesterday! I realised about 4pm but had to do OH's tea for 5.30 so just had a cereal bar. I wasn't too busy to make my cuppas though, even though half of them went cold :rotfl:
Eating gone to plan today, just had quorn sausage, sweet potato mah, peas and sweetcorn - very colourfuland a yoghurt.
Exercise has been 11,000 steps which included a jog across town so that I caught the early train :j not a pretty sight !!
See you tomorrow folks!:A0 -
Hi all
Taplady I am curious about the buffet, in my experience when you go to something like that the meat eaters hit the veggie stuff with a vengeance (because it is usually nice and unusual for carnivores) and the veggies are left starving or munching on the leftover salad garnish! Mind you, not bad if you are on a diet, but frustrating!
Chloebelle, don't worry about a bit of a setback, put it behind you and start again. From your post it looks like you aren't eating very much anyway, you might want to increase the amount of healthy food, veg and fruit etc...that will make feel you full without piling on calories. A number of us here are doing Slimming World, that is a diet that allows you to eat plenty of food and still lose weight. Good luck!
MrsM sorry to hear about you not feeling too well, hope you get better soon.
Congratulations to all the losers! I shall include myself in that as it would appear that I have lost appx. 1 kg and am now down to 84 kg, the slimmest I have ever been in the last 10 years at least!
Breakfast: 2 small slices wholemeal bread and 2 BGTY cheese triangles
Lunch: pasta with tomato, onion and tuna, strawberries with yogurt
Snack; 1 orange
Dinner: brown basmati rice with aduki bean casserole (beans, carrots, onions, stock), sprouting broccoli, low fat fruit yogurt
Exercise: 1 keep fit class this morning
Love to all

Evening everyone!
Me thinking I felt a bit lighter yesterday wasn't just my imagination, it's true.... 2lb off this morning, YES!!!:j I'm so chuffed, especially after a huge blip then staying the same last week.
Today I've had chicken and pickle sandwiches, strawberry wholegrain yog, apple, grapes, kitkat, tonight was yesterday's leftover mash and cabbage dry fried (sounds horrible, it was lovely!) with beans and a bit of chicken.
Good luck with the fresh start chloebelle..... sounds like you've already given yourself a good talking to and got yourself back on track - stick at it, you can do it!
Hope you feel better soon Mrs M and back to your normal cheery self.
See you later in the week folks!
:j Well done you Caterina!0 -
Hi all,
had two bad days...line drawn and start again to-morrow...it seems that every time I lose something I go mad and overeat with a vengeance for the next week to put it back again.......
Mrs MC....good to see you back but sorry to hear that you are not feeling great...go easy on yourself.
Frogga...was nice to see you back yesterday, even if you did speak badly of two of my favourite things...olives and beetroot...my problem is that there is so little I dislike and can't think of anything I won't eat...although not fond of kidneys...anyone any idea how I could cook them to make them more palatable as they are soooo cheap.
Household back to 3 adults and 5 year old, so food amounts will have to reduce...probably have enough to feed us for the rest of the month, which would be nice.
Congratulations to losers...
