Chloebelle - easy done, isn't it?
We've all been there and done that 'nothing during the day' routine. Not so hard either because we're still full from all the carbs or protein (or both!) that are still laying heavy from the night before.
I used to proudly say I didn't need brekkies because I didn't get hungry until 3pm... 'course I didn't, was still full from the night before! Now when people say the same to me I can guess why.
Anyway, think that your plan for today looks a great one. Well done for getting your head around it before you sabotaged your losses. You've been doing really well. :T
Nix - hope you're feeling better, too. Anxiety is such a pain in the bum when you suffer with it. Good job you seem the strong type.
Savernsarn - glad a good time was had at the wedding and enjoy the swimming later this week.
I'm sure MRSMC will turn up again soon. I know she's been really busy looking after the April grocery challenge thread. Think she was saying that hubby was back on duty so she'll be busy cooking up a storm or 'whoosping' around town... not to mention her little market garden she's created out back for all her scrummy salads and veg this year.
Must get on as DS2 wants me to watch a movie with him before he goes out at 3pm. Catch up later. :wave:AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £58.95/ £250

Hello everyone
I'm a bit tired and grumpty today but the scales said 62 kilos which is a reason to cheer up. I might have slightly ruined the effect by having a pain au chocolate (small though) as well as my yoghurt this morning.
Today is going to be a hard day as when you feel a bit crappy you are almost destined to crave chocolate. Fortunately I've just had lunch but I forsee some willpower being required later this afternoon.

New Monday, new week. I wasn't too good this weekend...
Friday: 2 x Quorn burgers, 1 x brown roll, salad, potato wedges, raspberry mousse
Saturday: Strawberries for breakfast, 1/2 a Starbucks Skinny Muffin, cafe late (no sugar), lunch out - beef burger and salad. Dinner: tuna pasta (not wholemeal pasta though, the 3 colour stuff instead). Snack: some Burts Crisps (1/2 packet say). Did quite a lot of walking though... and a pint of Leffe and 2 JD and diet cokes.
Sunday: Breakfast - pain aux raisin
L: tortillas, chicken, salad
S: low fat pack of crispsprawn balti, 1 samosa, 2 poppadoms (HM balti, not HM samosa!)
S: pear
but TODAY!
B: 2 x wholemeal toast w/ lime marmalade
S: pear, 1 x strawberry covered in white choc (boss brought back from Japan)
L: leftover balti with extra veg thrown in
S: orangeno idea
Have definitely lost weight, but tummy feels like water - need to tone up. Off on Holiday on Sat to France for a week, not sure the wine and cheese is really going to help!!! xx0 -
Hi All,
It's pouring with rain here so no exercise apart from the quick trip to the bins I made earlier. I am already missing it. The apartments are all designed to keep cool which is fine when it is sunny but cold otherwise so we've just had to put the heating on. Ironically, the satellite signal goes when it rains so the one time we might want to put the tv on is just when we can't watch anything!!
I had a busy morning cooking and have already made this evening's meal plus a batch of soup and a meal for later in the week. I can't do much for the freezer as it is just the icebox on top of the fridge and is already crammed full. I think an afternoon on the computer will follow.
B: Fruit and fibre with muesli, rasins and skimmed milk. Pineapple juice.
L: HM carrot soup. Raspberry yoghurt.Minced beef cooked with mushrooms, leeks, onions, and grated carrots, parsnip and turnip. Mashed potato. Banana.
Snack: Orange. I also roasted the potato peelings from the mashed potato whilst I cooked OH some bread for lunch and he had those as a snack - I managed to resist all but a couple but they were very nice!
Have a good day everyone.

MrsM I'm worried you're not eating enough!!
You need more than the odd yoghurt-even if they are cherry!0 -
Still not doing brilliantly... brekkie was yoghurt and hm granola. An orange too.
Lunch leftover mushroom and chickpea curry thing I did last night. Shame I just weakened and had a HM soft brown roll with peanut butter on one half and nutella on the other!
Dinner will be devilled kidneys and the leftover spicy rice from last night. DD will have pasta and her fave tomato sauce. Got 2 big pig kidneys from Mr M for 50p, so will demonstrate budget cooking to ds.
I too am avoiding food shops Mrs M, as I have tons in. bit of overspend yesterday at Mr M, but all useful stuff. No spend day today on food any way."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi saversarn
Don't worry... i think i have just overdone it on the potatoes, bread etc this weekend...I had shepherds pie yesterday (used to be a fave of mine) but i felt really over full and bloated almost straight away. I feel really sluggish I think my system is much happier on lighter stuff... Promise only to stick to eating yogs n fruit for a couple of days -just whilst my system clears and then i will be back to normal...
Thankyou for caring...:D-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Hi Everyone - sorry you're not feeling 100% Mrs M - I know exactly what you mean about feeling sluggish after too many carbs though - it always happens to me, but unlike you, I carry on eating them and just get used to the cra*py feeling. I always notice the difference when I eat more lightly for a couple of days though. Yesterday I was really good and felt so much better, but then this morning I overdid it with toast - I had made it for the kids breakfast and neither of them ate theirs so when I got back from the school run what did I do? ate their cold toast! grrrr:mad: I had no lunch to make up for it but still......
tea tonight is BGTY beefburgers (no bun for me) and salad- wedges for the kids, but again, none for me (fingers crossed), followed by pears in cranberry juice for me and ice cream for kids.
I have been meaning to ask - what is/are gyros?
Rosewood - I remember years ago seeing Shirley Goode (does anyone remember her from "The Goode Kitchen"?) doing potato peelings and I always loved doing them. Haven't had them for ages so thanks for the reminder!
Purpleivy - I love devilled kidneys but the kids call them monkeypoo and won't touch them. I am not too keen on pigs kidney though - prefer lambs.
Cheerfulness4 - you could be describing me when you are talking about the no breakfast thing. I always know when I am eating properly because I am always ready for my breakfast - rest of the time I am always still bloated and sick feeling from the food hangover from the night before.
Will go and get tea underway.Jane

Hi
I don't remember her the first time round but I read her blog every day and it's excellent.
