Hey all! Both OH and I were pooped last night, so we had spinach and ricotta tortellini with pesto, mushrooms and onion and a slice of HM garlic toast each... so chicken will be tonight instead. Didn't snack yesterday, but didn't do any extra exercise or drink enough water either.
Today:
B: 2 x wholemeal w/ raspberry jam
L: tuna salad (little mayo, no dressing), orange, peargarlicy chicken, rice and salad (wedges perhaps for OH)
Desert: sugar free Angel Delight if anything

Scales say back to 62.9 today. Gah small step forward giant step back. Yesterday I had a small pain au chocolate and after the pub a kebab!
ugh small slip massive consequences. What does everyone else drink when they are out? I'm aware that pints may not be the best thing but wine is now sold in huge sizes and gets me much drunker much quicker and when I drink G&T's I can't trust my generous friends not to slip me doubles thinking they are doing me a favour.
I can't even say today is a clean fresh start because I've already had another pain au chocolate today too (tired and feeling rubbish). I need to go back to bed and stay there for some time.
Well done all the losers and I comiserate with everyone whose slipped a bit this week.

HI all
Thank you very much for joining in my success!
I read that there are few people having some difficult days...
Marie and Purpleivy be strong if you can, and if you cannot just forgive yourselves and start again as soon as possible!
I have 3 difficult days coming up, we are going to Yorkshire to visit my husband's family and they are all into white bread and thick butter, the cousin who is putting us up has teenage children and always loads of nice puddings kicking about, and his dad and stepmum are really HEAVY on the pudding side, so I am going to face big temptations.
I am trying to stay very light in advance but I am also a bit apprehensive that my good work is going to be made undone by 3 days of simple carbs, sugar and fat orgy!
Meanwhile here is the plan for the day:
Breakfast: 1 sm sl wm bread, 1 quorn sausage, 1 frylight egg, blueberries, 50g natural yogurt (1/2 syn)
Lunch (planned): Leftoever rice and beans turned into soup with added peas and 1 tsp marigold (1 syn), 1/2 oz parmesan (1/2 HEa), fruit (not shopped yet so not sure which fruit it will be).
Dinner no idea yet, prob. some grain and bean, and tomato and feta salad on the side (got a piece of feta that needs using up).
Bye all, will catch up later, time to work now!

Hello everyone - well done Caterina and Droopydrawers! Taplady - I don't think you had a rubbish day at all - in fact your buffet sounded quite good VERY restrained and I could never eat only two biscuits when there were more in an opened box or packet (but then, that's why I'm fat and you're not:rotfl: )
Mrs M Glad you are feeling brighter - :T on the jeans - it's a great feeling isn't it - bet it's spurred you on all the more.
I got some tops from JD williams yesterday and they look alright but the sleeves are too short - don't they know that fat people have fat arms and don't like to show them off???? Anyway they will look alright as long as I keep my cardigan on in public.
Food today has been a slice of toast with cranberry jam for breakfast, and I am about to have my new very favourite snack - FROZEN BANANAS!! They are properly gorgeous - I saw it suggested on the OS forum for someone who had a load of going off bananas - just peel them and wrap in cling film and freeze whole. I was expecting them to go all rock hard and ice granuely (IYKWIM) but they are really creamy and lovely.
Lunch is going to be hm cauliflower cheese and dinner is going to be hm turkey and veg curry with a tesco h/L naan bread (no rice)
Snacks will be aldi yoghurt (just went out and got some of the wholegrain ones - very nomnomnom) and fruit
:hello: 'cross the mersey CRANKY!
Have got the carpet cleaners coming in this afternoon so had best go and start moving stuff around.
Have a good day everyone!Jane

Good Morning
Sorry for doing a runner after my first post but came down with that awful flu type bug going around, kids had it last week so then i got it and now dh. I am still getting over it but it doesn't stop me from wanting to eat.
I lost 3lb last week and that makes it a total of 16.5 lbs in 8 weeks, would have liked it to have come off faster but it's going in the right direction.
Breakfast- bowl of cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk
Lunch- Salad sandwich and a yoghurt
Dinner- Tuna pasta bakeI would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."

Thanks for your kind words Caterina. I know that giving up is not an option. I don't think I'm attacking this in the right way. I refuse to 'diet' as such, as it's not normal eating. I don't have a particular weight in mind, I would just like to be able to wear the things in my wardrobe. As I don't have anything that is unreasonably small, I don't regard this as a bad goal. I don't know what it would equate to in how many kg I need to weigh.
I know at the moment it isn't the best time for me...just in the process of coming off winter medication...but at the same time I'm aware that this is just when things can go wrong.
Food wise I was really under control before Easter, following Low GL principles, but trying to cut out large quantities of gluten as well seems tricky... apart from anything else I love bread and we eat pasta fairly regularly.
My scales don't work properly, can't get an accurate reading... they will weigh different things every time in spite of firm surface and fresh batteries.
So, drifting you might say!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

MRSM - am so glad you are feeling better!
RS - the buffet was not good to veggies, the other choices were sausage rolls(warm) BLT sandwiches, ham sandwiches, scotch eggs, lump lettuce(yuk) various swiss rolls and assorted crisps. The biccies are still calling me but havent given in yet!:D
On the cake front I walked to town:A then had a toasted teacake with real butter:drool:
