    Hello folks:hello:
I'm kn*ckered, been decorating since 8am. I'd already stripped half the room so today I've prepared tthe walls and done 2 coats ready to put the shelving up tomorrow so that I can move everything else from the other side and do that next week!
Half way through I realised I needed more paint so had to clean myself up and walk down to town to get some, on the way back I got caught in a sleet shower
I've eaten quite well today, mushroom ommlette and toast for brekkie, jacket spud with cottage cheese and salad for lunch then egg, SW chips and beans for tea.:D

OH went out at 7am and won't be back until 10.30pm  , same again tomorrow. It's a really long day for him but at least I can get on with my jobbies if he's not under my feet

RS - I love beetroot crisps and the parsnip ones! I eat loads of beetroot :rotfl: scary sometimes! Don't like it in vinegar though....
I think I deserve a glass of wine tonight and I might have a bag of ryvita minis as a snack.

Well done to the losers :T and welcome newbies

    See you tomorrow folks :A

    No MrsM today???????

Just checking in for my daily confession!

    To-day I ate:

    2 slices brown bread and butter with cold black sole;

    Bowl soup

3 slices bread/butter with thick layer of raspberry jam (!)

    ham, cabbage, one potato, pear;

    6 jelly babies

Not too good really but find that if I am uptight...I was very uptight early on, some sugar or jam or such like solves the problem...maybe I go from uptight to guilty!

Congratulations to losers and good luck to everyone.

Has anyone heard where the green pest is hiding...come on out Frogga, even I miss you!

    Hello everyone :)

Well done all the recent losses. I weighed myself this morning and was 62.3 yippee (from 63.5) and then later I weighed on a friends scales and that thought 61.9 but I think I'd probably better stick to what my own says to be consistent. I've been being good generally eating wise for the last few days and I've been for a run with my friend today. Maybe I'm making some progress at last :)

  • hello everyone - hope you have all had a good Saturday.

Rockie - you put me to shame! I have been decorating this last week but half way through I gave in and got a friend to come and [STRIKE]do the rest for me[/STRIKE]help me as I had got in a right mess. I love the finished product but the actual doing the sanding, papering and painting is just horrible - I am too impatient and want it doing too quickly and so I get slapdash.

Rosewood - I didn't know you could freecycle books - I have about 300 paperbacks which I have read and which are just taking up space in the bedroom. Before I was into MSE I used to think that libraries were unhygenic and so I bought all my books:o

Well done to todays losers - of which I am NOT one. I gained this week and I am so fed up with myself. I have had a good day food wise until about 20 minutes ago when I ate two pitta bread with cottage cheese, 4 oreo cookies, half a little tub of pistachio ice cream, half a slice of bread and butter and the ears off of a chocolate bunny and two handfuls of hm granola. Now I feel really fed up with myself because I have wrecked the diet AGAIN.

I know that some of you use the Paul McKenna CD's. Are they any good? I am desperate now - I seem to eat every time I feel even the slightest bit stressed or unhappy - I know it is just a habit but I can't break it. QVC have the PMcK stuff but it is over £40 - where did you all get it from?

Well I am going to have a glass of water now because all that rubbishy food has made me proper thirsty, and then I will wobble up to bed and try and get some sleep.

    Good Morning Ladies and Gents,

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exagerated ;) I'm here :D

Great to see so many of you doing SO well :T I'm really impressed and a special mention must go to MrsM :j FANTASTIC matey x

Have gone back to weighing monthly as after the 15lb I didn't then loose anything the following week  which cheesed me off somewhat so I decieded to stick to the monthly weigh day instead.

All on the lillypad is fine and life is ticking along ok at the mo. Really looking forward to starting my new job in Sept and I really feel like I have something very exciting to look forward to.

Been quickly looking back over the thread and I must add an important point ~ Olives are yuck! :D and so is beetroot :D

    Good to be back ;)

  • Morning all!

Almost wishing it was weigh day today instead of tomorrow - still got jimjams and snuggly dressing gown on but I just feel a bit slimmer somehow..... haven't had my porridge yet though so it's probably just empty tummy syndrome!

    Food today....

    B - porridge

L - leek and potato soup and roll

    D - chicken dinner

Got a bit of cleaning to do this morning then going over to a friend's this afternoon, plan being to take the girls out on their bikes and a brisk wobble burning walk for us but the sky's looking very snowy at the moment so might end up staying in and having a natter over umpteen cups of tea instead.

    Have a good day everyone!

Hello folks! Isn't it a wonderful snowy morning! :snow_grin

Well done to everyone who has lost this week :T:T

I had to take DS1 up to his school for 8:15 this morning and it was a lovely sight, there was snow everywhere! He is off to a choral competition at the Birmingham Conservatiore today with the school chamber choir. He won't be back until tea time...here's hoping they do well.

DH and DS2 are off to Cheltenham where DS2 is playing a rugby match..we had thought it would be cancelled...but no! I expect there will be quite a lot of snow ball fights! Will be cold though!

I've heard that if you don't get your 8 hours sleep every night that it can actually affect weight loss, does anyone think this is true? I'm lucky if I get 4-5 hours sleep a night TBH. Every 3 -4 nights I'm like this, then one night I will sleep right through, then its back to the old routine of waking up and not sleeping

Jackie, I do find that if I have too many nights where I have leas than 6 hours sleep, I am unable to lose much if any weight. I try to get to bed before midnight, 'cos if I don't I tend to stay up to 2 or 3...and still have to get up @ 7 or so...twit that I am. So not only am I shattered, I am not losing weight either!
I have been pretty bad lately as I have had lots of College work to finish, and I often find that I think better from 10 in the evening! Have now finished this course, but will be back again in September, probably doing my PgCert, so I am catching up on my sleep, and hopefully going to find losing weight much easier.

Saying this, I have stayed the same this week, but I did have a few late nights, a meal out and little exercise, so I am pretty pleased on the whole.

I had a good session of weeding in the garden yesterday, and I am aching a lot today. I also made some damson jam last night...13 jars. We had some frozen damsons and I had to make more jam as we had run out. It has been strange buying jam...but we did find a reduced sugar strawberry one on offer in Mr Ms which DS2 loves (he is diabetic, so it is better for him). I gave too many jars of jam away
this past Christmas, must make extra this summer...a great pressie though, especially wrapped up with tissue paper and cellophane...very MSE!

I have done loads this morning already...not used to getting up before 9:00, ny long-lie day...but not today. Have a second loaf on (BM) as well as a second load of washing...had to shake the snow of the line for the first lot! Have decided to update the freezer contents list, and redo the next three weeks' menu plans...we are running a bit low at the moment.

This afternoon I am sorting out the conservatory to be a propagation room! I am a month later than I planned, but I'm not too late...well not yet! Will get my tomatoes, peppers etc sown as well as lots of others. I have some windowsill propagators, and I increase the heated area by turning them upside down with foil in between and large trays to hold all the small trays and pots sitting on the foil. This way I can start off more seeds for much less electricity! Not sure if I will get any gardening done today, depends when the snow goes!

    Food today:

B: porridge (@ 7am) + toast (HM bread) with HM damson jam + Lurpak (free tub!)
L: HM Veg & lentil Soup + HM bread
T: Boiled Gammon, potatoes, carrots + purple sprouting

Snacks...as little as possible, perhaps some twinks hobnobs...or some flapjacks!!!

    Have a great day.

    M
