Also..............last night thought g'wan, yu've been good girl, have a voddie and diet tonic - so poured myself one and I couldn't drink it! It made me feel sick! Whats that about? I love me booze I do, I can't be doing with that! Normally I drink red wine but am trying to knock that on the head because of the calorie count.............I think I'm just going to have to try a bit harder tonight
Have a great day everyone xx
Nix this is serious, I think you need counseling maybe group therapy or electric shock treatment. I'm a red wine gal myself but have put it on hold whilst I try and slim... gin and slimline is good!!
Whats with the cheese cravingcheese is just wrong the taste and smell are ok but the texture is just nasty:eek:

So glad to have found this thread. :hello: At last people not going on about counting this and that and obsessed with what they can and can't eat. Sorry don't mean to sound negative but been there and 5 and a half stone later  decided enough was enough and to go back to basic eating with good food and lots of exercise, a complete lifestyle overhaul!!!
Started last September and have lost 4st to date. My target is BMI of 25, or just a few pounds under, not the daft targets I've been given in the past by various clubs. Last year we dung up part of the lawn and grew some easier veg, but this year are getting more ambitious, plus more grass has gone and a new herb bed planted.
The dogs are having a great time with longer and more vigorous walks. I have no breakfast untill they've exercised me as I always found I loved to sit and eat something when I got home. So it made sense to have something to look forward to instead of feeling hard done to trying not to eat.
One thing I have totally given up is sweets and puddings, because I could never say no. My dear daughter (a nurse) sumed it up so well when she said "carry on like you are and you'll end up diabetic and not be allowed them anyway:( ". So to satisfy the munchies I have a wholefood fig and date mid afternoon with a cuppa, and boy do I enjoy them.:D"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are." Unknown0 -
Afteroon,
Well weighed myself this morning, and just as I thought, I have put on, but, its only 0.5lb, so very very happy with that as I thought it would have been alot more.
Have been very good today so far. Not feeling very well again (I must be run down cos, I keep getting colds, sore necks etc alot recently). Have been feeling pretty bunged up the last couple of days, sore throat & sore head, and really really tired.
Anyway, for breakfast I had a coffee and a banana.
Went into town to get DH socks, had a little bit of Ds's choc chip muffin (it was yukk), and a skinny latte.
Then came home and had another coffee.
Not hungry, so havent had any lunch. I will have some soup if i feel hungry later.
For dinner tonight, I am having cauliflour cheese with veg.
Ive heard that if you dont get your 8 hours sleep every night that it can actually affect weight loss, does anyone think this is true? Im lucky if I get 4-5 hours sleep a night TBH. Every 3 -4 nights im like this, then one night I will sleep right through, then its back to the old routine of waking up and not sleeping.
Well done to everyone who has lost, cant mention any names as yet, as I havent read any posts, just going to catch up now.

I've been and made the red pepper hummus now, so no excuses for not having a decent lunch today. It's lovely and quiet here, dd and bf gone into Manchester to meet friends from their music course and ds as usual keeping a low profile in his room.
WIll get lunch ready on a tray in a minute. Nice peaceful time. haven't seen the news for days, so might have that on as well."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hello everyone - WOW!!! congratulations to Cranky, Caterina, Rockie, Mrs M, Mr and Mrs Cupier, Rosewood and anyone I might have forgotten:T :T
congrats to Taplady and Rockie for winning the raffles.
Welcome Suzid - you have done really well losing 4stone - that's brilliant!
Commiserations to Saversarn and Jackie but htey were only tiny gains and will soon be gone so :T :T :T for keeping trying.
On the pesto front - I think it is absolutely revolting, along with hummus (the most shuddery thing I can think of except taramasalata) and korma curry.
Cheerfulness - if you fancy a trip to Liverpool you can always come to mine for a cup of coffee (I live about 5 miles north) if you want!
food yesterday was a disaster - I decided to decorate the hall and the living room because I had bought two stunning chandeliers for the hallway and the lounge half price from Littlewoods and thought I would brighten the place up. OMG when Imoved all the stuff the dust and dirt was awful (and I thought I was a thorough cleaner:o ) so that took ages to clean, then there was all the clutter to chuck out and the carpet to clean. In the end I gave up and rang a friend who is a decorator to come and give me a hand which was greatly appreciated and I rang a carpet cleaning company to come in on Tuesday because the carpet was properly minging and no amount of vanish was shifting the marks! Have just come back from the tip having dumped all the junk and my sister will take all the charity shop stuff when she comes round next week.
Food today
Brunch - bacon, scrambled egg, grilled tomato and 2tbs beans
dinner will probably be grilled pork chop, carrot and swede mash, brocolli and onions.
snacks - apple, orange and muller light
Hope you are all having a good dayJane

Ooooh:T Well Done to those who have lost or STS....& to those finding the going a little tough...no-one ever said it's easy, unless they've never had to do it themselves..
My acheshave travelled up to my shoulders & neck today--me muvva's been a bit bleurgh& cancelled her hairdresser, who then said a good deal of folk are suffering from something ATM:o
I was interested to see your post Jackie...I have Sleep Apneoa & the Clinitian has said that get your sleep sorted & everything else will fall into place. Only problem with that is excess weight compounds the condition, so yet again you need to do A to have an effect on B but you need B to be able to do A
Another health professional said this week, that 'they've' found there are several types of REM sleep...onesort allows your body to repair itself & relax, while another dals with your emotional well-being. If you have too much of one, the other suffers.....so YES!If you have trouble having enough quality sleep, it will affect weight-loss, depression, concentration & a whole host of other areas in our lives:eek: Surprising innit:rolleyes:Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

HI all,
Back in business with my SW book from past class, and trying to get a bit more lard off my rump!
Breakfast: Chopped apple and banana with 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds and big blob of vlf cottage cheese
Lunch: Brown rice and veg soup with a bit of Marigold stock and 2 tbsp parmesan, no oil, 1 orange.
Snack: huge pack of black grapes
Dinner: salad made of: soaked bulghur wheat, tomatoes, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, 40g feta (HEa), 2 tbsps olive oil (1 x HEb, 6 syns), 1 Activia Cranberry yoghurt (3 1/2 syns)
The bulghur salad is actually amazingly good, hope someone will want to try it, it filled me up so nicely and I did not even miss the loads of oil that I would have normally poured on it, just measured the tbsps oil and it worked out 2 each for me and DH, great stuff!
Good to be back
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
:T Congrats to Mrs M, Rose, Cranky and anyone I've missed out..... brain not functioning too well at the moment, I'm exhausted! Had my friend's two little girls here this afternoon as a treat for them, a break for their mum and, well, I'm not sure what it was for me but I did enjoy it in an exhausting sort of way! The fairy cakes we made were a bit flat but tasted fine with strange blobs of icing and chocolate buttons on, and apparently my home made burgers are even better than Macdonalds:eek: !!!
Food today has been....
Banana, cherry mullerlight in work this morning
Lunch - no time
Tea - finger full of cake mixture from the bowl, home made burger in bun with salad (skipped the cheese), handful of chips, peas, 2 small flat fairy cakes.... they've taken the rest of them home with them much to their delight and my relief - I can't be tempted now!
Have a good weekend everyone!0 -
Evening all :hello:
I had a cr*p journey home, trains late, buses sailing past me, all 3, yes 3 cash machines that I pass had no cash in them  so I had to get some from the garage and pay an exorbitant fee:mad: Burned my tea, salveged what I could which wasn't very nice and then burned my tongue on a cup of tea:eek:
I'm now sat here with a large glass of wine ( I will count it in my syns) and am finally starting to relax.......OH is due in in half an hour and wants PIZZA! AAAARRRRGGHHHHH!!!!!!
Actually, I'm still full from tea and it's pepperoni pizza so it won't tempt me at all
I've had a lunchtime swim and walked 13000 steps todayTomorrow I'm decorating so might not get on here - 'puter is in the spare room and I'll have to sheet over it while I'm sanding/plastering/painting.................why do I do these things:rolleyes:
See you soon folks, enjoy the weekend :A0
