hey cheerfulness I add green pesto, pine nuts and parmesan to my hummus - very nomnomnom indeed
might tone it down a bit?
I've been using d&DD's recipe for hummus, which uses roasted red pepper. I've got rather lazy and now have a jar of pepper pieces from Lidl in the fridge, much quicker, esp as the chickpeas are ready cooked and in the freezer.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. HI all,
Just a quick update, I have been doing the SW thing by myself using the books that I had from class, and also increased teh keep fit etc, and as a result I have lost the best part of 1/2 stone, bringing me down to 13 and 1/2 - now this is according to the gym scales, it might be that they are knackered and that I am illuding myself, but I look and feel lighter!
I shall continue to weigh myself on these same scales every week and this will be my weigh-in (on Mondays when I do my 50+ keep fit class).
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hi All,
Well done Caterina and any other losers.
Late posting today but don't know why particularly as it's not been that busy. We had our weekly trip to Gibraltar today to visit the library and Post Office and then came home and laid in the sun with a book. I am debating whether to take myself off for a quick walk round the park to up my 6,000 steps for the day after posting this but haven't decided yet.
B: Muesli etc. Fruit juice
L: Chicken leg, coke.Mushroom omelette, orange.
Snack: Biscuit with my coffee (twice!)

Just got back from my first SW weigh in and I've lost.................................................
:j :j :j :j 4 and a half pounds:j :j :j :j
and I won the raffle - a bag of ingredients to make a beetroot and rocket salad - I'll have that for lunch tomorrow as it sounds lush!!!
I'm all excited now, I'm having tomato quorn fillets with a jacket and salad for my tea, I had a bag of crisps on the train coming home so that's my treat for today.
Well done to all the other losers :beer:
I love hummus in all forms except olive - olives are disgusting YUK! (in honour of Frogga)
See you tomorrow folks :A0 -
Just popped back to say well done Rockie, that's a fantastic result.
I did go for my extra walk round the park - managed it twice before it got dark so total steps for today now up to 9,000.
My weigh in tomorrow morning so fingers crossed.

Well done Rockie!:T :T :T thats 2 of us who won the raffle this week!:D I had the vegetable chilli skins for tea(with curried beans in instead of chilli beans) and it was delicious, my DH devoured them too!
good luck Rose and MRSM for tomorrows weigh in!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Evening everyone!
Back on track after over-indulging last weekend, phew! A colleague left today which meant cakes all round this morning and the pub for lunch, potentially a diet disaster.... obviously one can't possibly refuse to accept a cake:p but I did choose one of the less calorific ones (custard tart). Had a jacket with chilli and salad at the pub, one glass of wine and a soda with lime, so not too much damage done there! Couldn't be bothered cooking this evening so had weetabix.
I'm off tomorrow afternoon. Promised a friend's two little girls they can come round for tea one day in the school holidays and we can make fairy cakes:eek: !! (baking was their idea, not mine!) so tomorrow it is.... sure it'd be far less stressful to stay in work, but I'm quite looking forward to it really.
:T Well done Rockie and Caterina, and good luck to those of you hopping on the scales tomorrow!0 -
Morning all!
On Thursday I ate:
Bowl of homemade vegetable and bean soup;
2 cooking apples and 8 small sticks rhubarb stewed in orange juice with a little sugar;
Another bowl of soup (!);
2 turkey fajitas with salad and greek yogurt;
2 apples, cup coffee
Small day's eating for me, but I was up late so decided to have an early lunch and very pleased with how I have done...will have rhubarb more often now that it is in garden, salad stuff also more abundant there now.
Weigh in when I get up in morning...not sure if scales or floor is off but it can vary as much as 7 lbs without my having anything to eat...might borrow little one from other bathroom.
Congratulations to all the losers...I will join you soon!
