True but I went down to 8¼ stone many years ago and I still couldn't fit a size 10 (other than the odd generous item). I'm 5ft5 so that's actually not a good weight for me either (but nor is the 12stone I was back in July)
Back then I figured if I could be 9½ stone, look healthier and still wear the same size 12 as I did at 8¼ stone then there was no point trying to get any lower!
At the moment I'm that annoying size 12-14 ish. So most of my 14's are a bit too big but some of the 12's need a little more breathing room!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

MRSM - I know what you mean about the smell of chocolate - we have to unwrap it for our service users as they struggle being blind and its like torture handing it out and not eating any!
I have had a midmorning snack of a banana and a plum and am going to have a SW 'free' lunch of SW chips, mushrooms(need using up) dry fried egg and a quorn burger. nomnomnom as you say!;)Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Have just had my HM houmus. I'm just not sure about it tho. I love it usually but this recipe has so much seasoning and garlic in it. I'll be scared to get near anyone for the rest of the day... and I'm with friends this evening, too.
Was wondering if I should soak another set of chickpeas and cook them tomorrow to add to the mixture to 'tame' it down a tad. It should freeze okay, shouldn't it?
It is a lovely texture and I'm thrilled at how easy it is to make, and quick! I think I shall be playing with this basic recipe and tweak it to my taste.
esthomizzy - it's bound to be down to TOTM. I'm same at the mo and so I'll have to just see what the scales do this week... going to try not to let it worry me.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Hi everyone,
havent posted again for a few days, just been so busy. Havent been that brilliant to be honets, but, funnily enough, I dont feel down about itdont know why that is.
Anyway, yesterday was really bad, DS#2 was 3 yesterday, so, we had a little family get together, and of course, there was the usual goodies.
Im not expecting any loss this week infact, Im expecting a gain. I will weigh myself tomorrow morning, and let you all know.
Dh has said he will eat healthily with me, so hopefully that will help me stay off the chocolate. He doesnt have to cut back on anything, he has a manual job, and is luckily enough to eat whatever he wants, but, he said if I cook more veggie meals, he will eat them (hes a right meat person, so if I was to give him vegetable chillie, he would previously have turned his nose up to it). Only thing he said he wont eat is salad stuff, so, I will just give him veggies instead.
I havent had time to read through everyones posts, hopefully will be able to do that later on today, or tomorrow when Im off work.
Is frogga still having her computer fixed?

Taplady...
I have the opposite problem... it's not handling it and not having any that bothers me... the smell of it makes me feel physically sick :j .. I can only put it down to having listened to that paul mckenna CD a couple of times yonks ago and doing what he said and learning to associate your problem food with something you really don't like... i thought of choccy and the way whitebait made me feel when i tried it  ,,,, the most god awful "food" ever invented bleughhhhhh. So now the smell of choc makes me feel really icky -not that im complaining... i can live with it if it stops me wanting choc for the rest of my life-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Hi everyone,
Forgot to make bread last night so I had to pop to the pub for lunch
Carrot and corriander soup :A with a six inch baguette and two pats of butter:eek: I was so appalled at the imagined calorie content I had to have a gin and tonic;) Anybody know the calorie content of a pat of butter or the rest?
B- porridge
L-as above
D-spicy butternut squash stew
Salsa dancing tonight (you coming Nix?) and it was 5000 steps round trip to the pub:rolleyes:
MrsM & Taplady I give the kids chocolate and say 'I don't want any just let me smell the wrappers:drool: '
And Pesto tastes poo!!! I'm sure they make it by scraping the insides of very neglected aquariums_pale_0
