After Rosy correctly worked out that a kilo of loss is 7700 calories. I worked out that at a 500 calorie per day rate it will take 84.7 days to get to my target. However that is not taking into account that I've also been trying to not to eat between meals and have mostly cut out puddings etc which would hopefully also increase the deficit a bit. So I'll make my target about 2 months instead. So I aim to be my target weight by the start of June in time for summer.MFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0

Ooooh Mrs M, just had to clear the dribble off my keyboard after reading that little lot....... can I have one of each please?:p
:T Well done on the loss toniwoty!:T0 -
thank you all for your congratulations.
i've been grinning alllllllllllllllll day! i'm so pleased at being 12st something!! i normally avoid telling anyone my weight but today i've told anyone who will listen that i'm 12 st something
god knows how unbearable i will be WHEN (not if) i reach my target of 10st
just a question i was discussing with someone at work today- you know all the WW/SW 'sucess stories', well lots of the women have lost lots of weight :T but their details don't seem right to me. i tend to look at ones around my height (betw. 5" 8 and 5" 9) and they say things like "i weight 11st and i'm a size 10" and i just don't get it! at 11st i'm a 14 and no smaller. at 10st i'm a smallish 12. do these women just carry fat in weird places? like their ankles, or wrists or earlobes?!! its not fair! or are they telling big fat fibbers?!
right last thing then i will draw this essay to a closei got a bit worried that although i'm dieting i'm not making a "proper" lifestyle change. so i'm gonna try to make one healthy change each week and stick to it! this weeks is to drink more (not the sort that makes me go :rotfl: !!!). does anyone else worry like me?
i'm still grinning:D

evening all!
Toniwoty - well done !:T :T :T
cheerfulness - talking scales:D even i wouldn't want them!;)
MRSM - those recipes sound yummy - I fancy the muesli slice myself.:T
Well guess what - I stayed the same again!:jeven after 2 portions of B & B pud and cream!;) am still just a pound over my target. Tonight they asked me at SW how many clothes sizes I've dropped - gone from a 16 to a 12. My sister lost 2lbs this week and is only 1 and a half pounds away from her stone and a half award.
My DH has lost a stone in the last few weeks since he started his new job as a milkman!:T
I've got 3 days off now:j .
food today
B - porridge, banana and later on a small slice of toast
L - cheese and pickle sandwich on seedy bread with salad and a handful of chips(was in the pub with work)
D - quorn lasagne, salad and a small jacket spud.
Toniwoty - I know what you mean about sizes, I am 10stone and a 12 (5ft 7) I'm sure some of these women in the magazines must lie about their sizes or squeeze into too small clothes!
see you all in the morning!:wave:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Tori.. well done!!!! I was 12 stone.. and a size 16... I was 10st and STILL a size 16.... I don't go on 'size' I rate it more on how healthy/unhealthy I feel!! Actually I am 11st 13 (again) and feel better now than I did when I was 10 stone.. but my hips and knees are PAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNful lol
My sister however is 10 stone and a 10, my other sister is 10.5 stone and a 12... we are all the same height give or take an inch!
I have a problem...
On the WW 'thing' I am 'allowed' 19 points.. BUT having worked out roughly how much I am eating (based on my own recipes/food preparation etc) I am consuming about 10 'points' a day... !!!!!!... ?? How much do these 'normal' people eat????
I've eaten so much the last few days I have felt constantly sick!!!
(I don't 'use' WW I use the website to log what I have been eating to keep a record of what I have had and what I should have.. if that makes any sense?? I can only work using a 'list')LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning all,
Toniwoty - I've always thought that something was up with many of those success stories. No denying they look lovely but when they state they're now a size 10 when they clearly look to be a large 14 you have to wonder. I know that they say the camera puts on 10lbs but really!.... more like 2 stone if they're not telling porkies.
Weight can be deceptive tho...the other women in my family carry all their weight on their stomachs whereas mine is all over.It means I have a smaller waist than them but much fatter arms and legs. My poor sister was always getting upset because people were asking here when the baby was due.
Food today:
Readybrek
HM Hummus on toast (still got to puree it  )
Prawn/cheese omelette and salad
Got a bit of exercise yesterday teatime as I decided to get out and do some gardening. It was still lovely around 6.30pm so I started dragging out the lawnmower.
DH spotted me and came running out saying he'd do it as he enjoyed it. News to meso I got on tidying up branches and the patio. Beginning to look really nice now. OH even nipped in and made us a cuppa which we had sat out in the garden...twas a bit nippy towards the end but so nice to finally get outside again.
And Toni - I had worried too about making permanent lifestyle changes at the outset as we all know how we can lose the weight quickly and then trundle it back on again even quicker.
I think this time I've finally done it as I've never felt less like on a diet than this time. It really does seem like this is seamless to me as I don't think..'when I've lost the weight I'll be able to have this..or that.'.... I'm having it all now anyway, I just may adjust the portion slightly, that's all.
I really could go on like this forever as I don't miss out on a thing.

My guess would be similar to my response to Vanessa Felpz when she lost weight and claimed she was a size 12 (if your clothes are way too tight - or maybe one item of clothing that is generously sized is a 12!) OH declared a size 12 - what one leg you mean???
I'm 10 stone and no way would I ever even get in a size 10!!!
Well done on your loss.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
