Poor Purpleivy don't do what I just did and eat chocolate! (I blame the wine
)
In the end I went and made a bowl of porridge, At least it's filling without doing too much damage. I make it with water and just have a drop of milk on it. Also a spoonful of agave nectar, I put in a grating of nutmeg too this time."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi All,
Well, after saying yesterday I needed to up my exercise I decided to take the plunge (literally) and went in the sea today.
Wow!!! Well done you. I went in the sea last May and my hands and feet felt like they were going to fall off with the cold (I was wearing a wetsuit too). I vowed never ever to do that again until at least June.
Well done all the losers
I've been being goodish although I went to the pub yesterday rather than the exercise class I had planned on. The bits and bobs I did (a walk and cycling about) still added up to my 500 calories (we'll overlook I probably drank them back later on) oh well at least I'm calorie neutral for yesterday I suppose. I'm now 63.2 (rather than 62.5) it's a loss but not much of one. Better than a kick in the teeth I suppose.MFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0 -
Hiya deecaz - welcome on board.
Well I'm totally mystified by hearing that Boots have speaking scales. What nutter thought that was a good idea. No one wants that, do they? Well maybe Taplady.
Personally, when I used to use them I'd mooch round nonchalantly looking at all and sundry items surrounding them until the coast was clear and then I'd jump on and off as fast as I could before anyone else came close.
If I was visually impaired ( and I can only think speaking ones would be designed to help them) I would still prefer to take a close friend to obligingly whisper the dreaded reading in my ear.
Feeling stressy today as DS1 had a bumpsy-daisy in his car last night. He admits it was his fault, he panicked and missed the brake when a taxi came out at him unexpectedly and he clipped a stationary car. He's only 18, he'll soon learn about taxis. I hover my brake when I see one.
He knocked on the house to find the owner and sort out his mess. Ah kids! I've a feeling our credit card will have to take a bashing until he can pay us back us as he doesn't want it to affect his ins. We'll see when the quotes come in. Isn't it just typical that moneybags son just cleared his account out to pay for hols wardrobe, euros and xbox360 for DS2 (he was worried he'd be fed up as no hols for him).
Oh well, will have to pull the budget in even harder now.At least he's not hurt, nor is anyone else AND it didn't occur to me to think of eating my way through the stress yesterday. :T
Food today:
readybrek
humous on toast (if I get it made now mums coming round)
lamb hotpot with kale and carrots. (must get more veg)
Have half an hour till I've got to pick mum up. She's upset about DS1 and wants all the details to make sure I'm keeping nothing from her.As if.... I'd be wailing from the rooftops if one of my 'babies' was hurt...its only his pride that got bruised.

MORning all.
Good start, bowl of mixed cereal, plenty of oats in it...let's see if that will keep me going.
Got to go out doing errands today, must put a snack in my bag, or plan what I will have with coffee when I get there.
Dinner was going to be mushroom risotto, which will get rid of the lurking slightly unwrapped and dry looking chunk of parmesan, but dh may well be late at work, so might have something a bit more flexible. Dame Delia says to serve risotto as soon as it is done.
Any ideas for a side dish for this? Not bread or other carb thing, a veg or salad type thing.
Have a long list of stuff to do, guess I should write it down so that I am more purposeful!
Clear up kitchen dining sitting area, vac and mop - noone did this in my absence, there's a surprise.
Errands, returns to M&S, Next, call in at Boots, Post Office, Aldi and TP for some more pins.
Sort out paperwork.
Check ebay for further washunit possibilities for my new treatment room.
Get some food ready.
Make a meal plan for the next week, need to post that tomorrow.
Errrrrrm
Finish waistcoat for tomorrow.
move the laundry on.
Chase kids in what they are supposed to be doing.
Take the recycling.
Well, if I get that all done!!!!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning,
I have a head ache....and I'm sure it's nothing to do with my Gin consumption last night:whistle:
Nix I go to salsa on a thursday night- you're welcome to join us (although not much Ooop North about Kent!) My hips are now a lethal weapon have a mind of their own, my pelvis gyrates independantly .. I can feel the nipple tassels calling:shocked:
Today breakfast porridge, lunch ham sandwich and fruit, dinner cod veg maybe a slimming cheese sause
I brought some blood oranges and am frankly disappointed I remember when I was younger they were really red inside, the ones I got from my local tesco are barely grazed (little specs of red in them if you have keen vision) I was looking for a full on haemorrhage.:rolleyes:0 -
Ooh mrsm - yes please:

- carrot muffin 155
- yogurt honey muffin 131
- cherry marmalade muffin 154
And if you've got any double choc muffin recipes with about 10 calories and only 2 fat grams... :rotfl:
Anyway, made bread pud the other night with left over ends of the wholemeal loaves. Added stewed apple from the freezer, raisins, spices, etc and just a touch of sugar. So have been eating that for snacksGot to be less fat than toast, with marge and choc spread on it though
Feeling rough today TOTM.
Food today is porridge with cherries (from a jar - cos I was bored of porridge and cherries are my fave).
Snacks are an apple, a banana and the bread pud I've just eaten.
Lunch is pasta with olive tomato sauce
Tea is sausage casserole in the slow cooker.
Went for extra walk yesterday while the weather was nice and sunny at lunch. Not sure whether to walk today as I feel wrecked.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Morning all, how you all doing today?
Well had hair done last night, got home and just couldn't be bothered cooking so I had a banana and a handful of those japanese seaweed cracker type thingies. Bit hungry now tho so will have some porridge as that always fills me up, lunch will be HM pea and ham soup (thank heavens for batch cooking) and dinner, I have no idea. Dinner is a bit of a minefield for me, I keep meaning to menu plan but some nights I have DS with me and some I don't and when I don't I never bother thinking about what I will eat, I have hard time justifying using 'proper' food for a meal just for me and I end up eating a sarnie.
Hope everyone has a good day today, weather here is awful but I'm off to Amsterdam tomorrow on business - get me, I sound so glamorousits not, believe me - so expect an update on Friday where I've eaten the dutch equivalent of motorway junk Saversarn

Hi all
Kept to plan last night (dinner of lasagne, granary garlic bread, salad) but didn't go that easy on portions! Didn't snack at all yesterday though and was hungry so all good really.
Today:
B: 2 x wholemeal w/ lime marmalade. Again.
S: handful of seedless red grapes
L: noodles and vegmushroom ommellette, beans
Have a few errands to do at lunch, will try and squeeze in a trip to market en-route, have no fruit at home at all!
Have to say - my Grocery Challenge this month is going quite, quite rubbish. Have stocked up a bit, but still spent half already! OH is off work at the mo and eating more from home, but still - blimey. And that's with shopping in Lidl! xx0 -
Yesterday wasn't too bad - stuck to the general food plan with the small addition of a creme egg.:o
Managed to do an hours walking/trotting in the evening too so not too disasterous.
Today I have...
Breakfast - mini tracker bar
Lunch - the last of the leftover chilli bean stuff and a pitta bread, grapes and satsumas
Dinner - Linda McCartney lasagne (bargain 39p from Farm Foods, bought 3!) and salad
Snacks - 1 pk of low fat crisps (can give up choccy but crisps are a different matter!)
Seeing boyfriend later - first time since the weekend - so may get a bit of extra exercise IYKWIM!!;)0
