I've been lurking for a while reading all your wonderful advice and was wondering if I could join in too? In preperation yesterday I went out to get a weighing scales as I don't have any clue how much I weigh and the one in the boots near me looks like it speaks and the boots is teeny weeny. After getting my scales home and biting the bullet, I found out I apparently weight 5 stone 6 1/2 lbs or the equivalent in kgs. No matter how much I played with my (digital ) scales it refused to give me a reading.

So as I join in I have no idea how much I weigh (other than its too much!) but I'll still try to eat better

That made me laugh. I had 2 pairs of digital scales that ended up doing that and I had to take them back. The first time a rather overweight lady served my OH and she said instead of returning them to the manufacturers, she might keep them LOL.

I have gone back to bog standard scales as sometimes life is simpler that way!!!

By the way, I would really like some digital kitchen scales. Does anyone recommend any? Or are they as temperamental?

Hi again :) I've done not too bad today. Off work as I had a job interveiw so slept late and had scrambled egg on toast for breakfast/lunch. Then this evening I had chicken, baked potato, sweetcorn in a large yorkshire pud (a "healthy" one"). Bought lots of fruit and cereal bars/WW cookies so that will last me a few days. I will have my first weigh in this weekend and start counting down from there.

Off to search for some chicken recipes...

    Evening all :hello:

DonnaP - I got some digital kitchen scales from Argos they were only cheapo ones but I've had no problems with them, unike the fancy expensive ones that did nutritional values etc that never worked properly

Just had a scrummy tea, I marinated some quorn fillets in yoghurt, chilli, mint, coriander and lime zest then stuck them in the oven . I had them with roasted mediteranean veggies and new potatoes - tasty :T We've only just eaten as OH was late home and suprisingly I've only had a few grapes since my lunch and didn't raid the bread bin when I got in

Has anyone heard from Frogga

    See you tomorrow folks :A

    Evening all :)

Thoroughly rubbish day today, felt dreadful all day and fell asleep at my desk in work for the 3rd time in 2 weeks, I can't get warm and I have been getting pains in my legs all week. Going to try and see the doc tomorrow as I suspect its either anaemia or thyroid problems (family history).

So I haven't eaten particularly well today as OH took me out for tea to try and cheer me up:

B: Nothing because I was too busy in work
L: Tuna sandwich, bag of crisps
D: Veggie burger with chips, I know I should have had a jacket potato but I enjoyed them and it cheered me up :)

So tomorrow is another day, will see how I get on at the doctors as it could just be that I am run down with working too hard.

    Well done all X
