Morning all!
DonnaP - I like the Danone Shape lasting satisfaction yoghurt(supposed to fill you up;) ) they are yummy and quite solid. I also like the mullerlite layered yoghurts. Unfortunately both have sweetners in them.
Toniwoty - good luck with the weigh in later!
off to work later, am taking a quorn cottage pie for my evening meal to have with veggies as its boiling ham on the menu .
I went to out local opera last night and ended up winning a box of luxury M & S cookies in the raffle! I tried a couple of the so called 'healthy' oat and honey ones last night (delicious and so moreish)and have given the rest to DH to take to work with him as I wont be able to resist them if they are left here!:D
I've had muesli(soaked overnight MRSM) for breakfast, not sure about lunch, will see whats on the menu but will take some mackerel(tinned) in case I dont fancy what they are having.
Have a good day all - weigh in for me tomorrow:eek: hope to have lost the pound I put on or at least stay the same!;)Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning one and all,
Another lovely sunny one here although blowing a gale! Definitely washing weather.
Not feeling all that hungry this morning so figuring that I ate too much HM seedy bread last night. I had 3 slices instead of my expected two but I've a feeling they were a tad thicker than they should have been.I do love my fresh HM loaves.
Food today:
Readybrek (if I get hungry)
Egg salad sandwich in HM seedy bread( friend's fav who's coming to lunch)
Shepherd's pie, steamed kale & carrots
Snacks - usual citrus fruits and apples.
mhe - is squash courgettes or marrow? Or are we meaning butternut squash? I'm never quite sure.
Right, best get stuck in and get something done. Catch up with you all later.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Morning all
Just got back from a toddle to the garden centre..only an hours walking-but its sooooo glorious out there im going to spend some time tootling round the garden :j
Want to give the lawn another going over... im the only one around here that has allready mown their lawn several times this year.... so it won't take much doing. Then im going to drag out all my tubs and figure what is going in which and where they are all going  me thinks im going to need loads more containers for all me veggies
.
Picked up 20 strawberry plants ....:j 2 different varieties.. think i was quite restrained as i love strawbs..... not bad as they worked out at about 40p each:D- Had a yogurt for brekkie...
- lunch might be a sandwich -i tried that loaf i made yesterday..a mix of white, granary and spelt flour and if i say so myself it has come out lovely and light -not all dense and stodgy..and tastes scrummy..and best of al -for once i weighed everything out -so i can make it again :j
- dinner -hubby has requested the southern chicken n coleslaw wraps and salad
Taplady... of all the things to win :rotfl: I have never thought of soaking muesli hmmmm might have t try that....
Its strange i worked in a hotel switzerland for 3 months when i was 17 and they used to have this big bowl of oaty looking thing with fruit in and every morning we used to fetch it out of the fridge and stir in yoghurt and stick it on the buffet table...but i never knew what it was, then a few years ago i went all "gillian mckeith" and tried soaking my oats... and now out here they do something similar and they call it "bircher oats" but i love my own... with yog in -i much prefer it to cooked porridge now:D
BigmummaF.... Hubby is out at a golf competition all day tomorrow..so i will park my bum on the sofa, recline and trawl through my recipes -uninterupted ...shame ehh... i will make a list of things and their cals and then type up any that anyone wants..just to save my typing up stuff that no-one wants
Is it mainly snacky?goody type things you are looking for or meals too?
DonnaP... i have a yog maker.. but have only used t a couple of times... i keep threatening to do it again..but to be honest the yogs i get here are stunning and i really don't want to give them up :rotfl: .. I only pay €1.49 about £1.10 for 8X150g so i can't really complain ..i buy all cherry and all raspberry..nomnomnom...
quite a few folks on here DO make there own though so im sure they can help you
right im off to get in the garden.. burning some wobble whilst im out there hopefully
Im sure weigh day is coming around quicker every week
keep at it everyone..we are getting there :j and those lovely summer days that are coming should keep us motivated-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Well, tomorrow was a rubbish day again. Family is at home and that sometimes makes it harder. Excuses eh?
I think the best think for me would be to sit down and get on with the sewing I'm doing....my share of 50+ waistcoats for a group I belong to...with my notebook at my side, so I can do a meal plan at the same time.
See you later. PLEASE will someone ask me how I'm behaving myself?

Morning all... gorgeous day down here, in between the rain. Have a slight headache and we're listening to some God-awful music at work that I could really do without! Oh well!
Was quite hungry by the time I got home last night, so had a bit more dinner than I normall would (chicken wraps, rice, salad, corn on cob) but all quite good. Smidgen of low fat mayo and HM salsa. Yummy.
Today:
B: 2 x wholemeal w/ lime marmalade (I am a creature of habit these days)
L: Noodles, veg, yoghurtLasagne, salad
Have a lovely day everyone xx0 -
Morning all,
Nice bright day here, windy but I think that we are promised rain later on...should get out now, even if just to clothes line.
Have had an apple to eat so far, going to go again for this smaller meals thingy and see if it works for me, apparently it raises the metabolism...as does drinking water and its all systems go at the moment....that may change any minute...why am I such a shilly shallier (??)
Going to sow more tomatoes to-day....have to be careful what I sow now as it may all be dust when I return from OZ...DD4 will probably water etc but she and DGS2 are heading on holidays a week before I come back so not sure what to arrange for that time, DS3 is great but not with remembering to feed cats or water plants...maybe we should invest in an automatic thingy....hmmm, wonder where that Christmas voucher went and would OH go halves on the rest...this is all relevant you know, need to have lots of fruit and veg available to fill up gaps rather than fat stuff.
Will go away now and stop rambling...tortillas for tea, soup for lunch, have a good day all

Just typed a long post and lost it
Morning ladies :hello:
Yohurts - Shape lasting satisfaction are nice.
I had a munchy day yesterday but as I'm doing SW now I finished of the couscous and chickpea salad that should have been for today's lunch and stayed within my syns......the huge consumption of chickpeas had had an effect though....it's windy in here
Brekkie was soaked oatswith yoghurt and berries - yummy:D
Lunch is curry savoury rice with eggs - sounds wierd but is really tasty and I've got fruit.
Tea - not sure yet, OH has the evening off  for a change so I want to make sure he gets a decent meal so I'll decide when I get in.
I've done 5000 steps so far and am going for a swim at lunchtime
Have a good day folks :A0 -
Hello everyone - hope you are all okay
Pruple - are you being good??
Rockie - that curry rice with eggs does sound nice - do you use packet curry savoury rice and just have it with hard boiled eggs or what?
Mrs M and Marie - If you grow all your veg in tubs do you plant the seeds up first in a container and then plant them on? Also do you not get a problem with slugs? I had some tubs of tomatoes and strawberries last year and the slugs just ruined them, and TBH it's put me off doing any more. However yesterday a Lakeland catalogue came and they had these plastic things which zipped over a grow bag for growing and I was really tempted to get some - it would keep off the cats and birds but the slugs would still be a problem.
I went to the dentist yesterday and showed him the red spot inside my lower lip and he said he thought it was just a little polyp but to come back in a month and if it was still there he would refer me to the dental hospital for a biopsy, but he was sure that it wasn't anything sinister. This was not what I wanted to hear and so all night I was picking at it and now today it is really sore! - I am such a hypochondriac but I can't help it - if anything happens to me then there is no-one for the children and I get all panicky thinking about it....... oh well, best stick to the diet then because obesity is a health problem I DO have and need to address....
Yesterday meals were a bit too big and I ended up eating cereal and toast last night at about 10.30 so today I am planning:
Brunch - chicken salad sandwich and apple
Snack - yoghurt with a little bit of hm oatymix stirred in (just oats mixed with a little bit of honey and melted low fat spread baked in the oven until toasty)
Dinner - might do rockies curry and egg thing, or home boiled ham (I got a little gammon joint in Tesco last week) with baked potato and hm coleslaw - ooh now I want BOTH  :wall:
Taplady and Rockie - thanks for the info on the Shape lasting satisfaction yoghurts - I am just coming to the end of my 10 for £2 muller lights from Morrisons and I don't want to have them again for ages as they weren't all that nice, so I might try the LS ones. My favourite are Activia but not the fat free ones and they aren't that low in cals.
toniwoty - good luck for the weigh in later!
Cheerfulness - have you finished the little lady book? The latest one is out now so I will have to go and order it from the library.
Have now got to go to KFC with DD2 and her friends - I have had my brunch so I will not be tempted. TBH KFC is much easier for me to resist that McD's - I don't really like the chicken at KFC as it has a weird taste and the chips are rank.
:hello: to BigmummaF and bobbadog and anyone else that I might have forgotten!Jane

Hello - sorry I haven't posted for a while - my internet is broken at home and so I have do to sneaky work time DFW/OS reading!
Anyway, I weighed on Saturday morning and have lost 3lbs:T (in about 2 weeks) - I think most of this is due to being back at home after working away for a while and having my beloved pooch back with me (had to wrestle him back off his "gran") and doing plenty of walking with him again.
I have been a bit better with food over the past week or so but not perfect by any means!
Anyway, things feel a bit looser and I feel a bit flatter on the belly region.
Started sorting out the holiday clothes etc on the weekend and the bikinis are a daunting thought - must try harder!!!! Have until June to transform myself in a bronzed beach goddess. (Oh B*gger!)
Today's food....
Breakfast- small Tracker bar (100 cals ish)
Lunch - egg sandwich (1 egg, low cal mayo), grapes, satsumas and low fat crisps
Dinner - bean chilli thing left over from last night (very nice though) and pitta bread
At least an hours dog walking to do too......0 -
RS - yes, the Batchelors cuurry one with hard boiled eggs, not very OS I know but quick and tasty.....just scoffing it now!0
