    Hi all,

    By some miracle I had lost a whole pound this morning...if I could do that every week all it would take is a year to reach my target.....!

    To-day I have eaten:
    B. porridge with honey and dried apricots;
    Snack: homemade corn tortilla ( I think that's what it was, had to mix flour with cornmeal to stick it together!) with last of stirfried veggies from last night;
    Lunch: Soup and ham and cheese salad sandwich on granary bread, coffee;
    Dinner: 2 baked drumsticks, purple sprouting broccoli ( from garden!) and baked spud with greek yogurt
    Going to have an apple or 2 on way to airport to meet and eta 11 pm flight.

    Know what I am having for breakfast...DD4 and DGS2 were in my brother's for dinner and brought back have a cooked black sole, so GS and I will share it with some brown bread for breakfast...could eat it now, but that would be gluttony.

    Congratulations to all the losers, you are marvellous to keep it going so well

    Foodwise has been another quite good day today:j I did have some frozen pizza for tea but it was counted as my SW syns for the day.
    I have another day off tomorrow and am helping DH in the morning on his milkround then we are watching the Grand National in the afternoon. I hope you all enjoy your weekends

    Yesterday I was very good. I didnt have my cauliflour cheese as planned, I had a little bit of take away chicken curry because I felt full of cold, and I just got worse as the day went on. Ended up having to go to the Docs yesterday after noon because my eye started to get very sore and swollen, turns out I have conjunctivitis (sp). My eye is all red swollen, and closed over. I look like the elephant woman. I have to put eye drops into it every 2 hours for the first 2 days, then every 4 hours after that.

    Anway, I was good eating wise, apart from my chicken curry, but, I only had about a third of the rice, and a couple of spoonfuls of the curry, and I didnt even eat it all.

    Today, still not feeling so good. Definetly not going out with my face like this, so, planning to stay in and catch up with all the posts that I keep saying im going to catch up on, and I plan to have my cauliflour cheese tonight.

    Havent had any breakfast yet, but will soon because stomach is starting to rumble, and for lunch I will have a sandwich.
    I have some strawberries and greek yogurt in the house, so, will have that for a wee treat.

    Hope everyone has a lovely day, and im sorry for the moan above.

  • :hello: everyone. Up early today as the wallpaper hanging man was coming at 8 so needed to make sure everything was ready. note - don't ever try and hang Laura Ashley paper yourself as it's a nightmare!! I only wanted to do the chimney breast but after wasting a whole roll I had to ring someone to come and do it - not too bad cost wise though as he's only charging me £10.

    Food yesterday was okay - could have been better though as I was out picking up DD2 from tennis when I went into the local deli to get her a piece of salmon (she likes stuff like that for snack) and they had these Duchy original organic beetroot crisps. I got some and they were just lovely! I got them for DD2 but the bag was huge (100g) and I must have had over half:o Serves me right though because when I went to the loo last night my wee wee and stools were red and I nearly fainted with shock! I was so worried until I googled it (told you I am the worlds biggest hypochondriac) in the early hours and found that beetroot makes your urine and stools red!

    However the crisps were the nicest things I have tasted for ages! was 500 calories for 100g so I reckon I ate about 300 odd.

    Planned food for today is:

    Breakfast - ready brek with skimmed milk, grated apple, raisins and cinnamon (I am trying to use the ready brek up as got it for kids and they hated it)
    lunch - cottage cheese salad sandwich with cup of soup and an apple.
    dinner - hm braised steak and kidney, carrot and swede, cabbage and boiled potatoes.

    I haven't had steak and kidney for yonks and yesterday in the butchers he was just putting some out and I really fancied it.

    Was in Mr T's last week and bought this huge jar of pears in cranberry juice. It wasn't cheap (about £2) but the jar was enormous and you keep it in the fridge after opening (it's square like a milk carton so fits in the door thingie) so it lasted me for about 4 days. The juice was lovely even though there was no added sugar and the pears were really tasty. I will get some again today. I think the make was natures best or something.

    I am going to get weighed in a bit but am not expecting any great loss, but a pound or so would be nice!

    Have a great day everyone! Anyone heard from frogga?

    Morning all,

    Hope those poorly are feeling a bit better today. Conjunctivitis is nasty Jackiew - as a teenager I had it several times and never forgot how 'burny' it was.

    Feeling peachy today because I've lost 4 1/4 lbs when I got on the scales. :j :j When I've lost another 1/4 lb I'll have lost 3st. :D That now leaves me 2 1/4 lb to lose to make my BH challenge. I've got 4 more weigh ins till then so I should be fine, hopefully. :rolleyes:

    Recovering - I'm an absolute beetroot addict and could eat them one after another if they're fresh and not pickled. I went through the same 'panic stations' too, not having known about the side effects. :o

    Very quiet in my house this morning. OH at work, DS1 in mid-flight somewhere and DS2 still in the land of snore. Bored. :p
    My little nephew is due in about half hour so I may challenge him to Wii bowling if DS2 is still trying to 'come round'. ;)

    Food today:
    beans on toast
    HM pea & ham soup
    Turkey stew and dumplings

    Snacks - apples, pears or oranges

    Picked winter warming foods again today as the weather is rainy and cold. ;) Going to spoil myself with watching a load of dvds and scrapbooking today. DS2 will be busy with his cousin and hubby won't be home till mid afternoon, when our real weekend will begin. He's taking Monday off and taking us out then. :T

    Have a lovely restful weekend everyone, and those having decorating done - hope it turns out gorgeous. ;)

    I'm trying to ignore the language coming from behind me....The Blues are playing in the semi-final at Wembley & one of 'us' has just been yellow carded for a hand ball.

    Feel thinner today & I'm wondering if it's because of the hm bread. Me muvva buys danish type bread---the current choice being Walburtons---& the texture I'm getting on ours is very similar but perhaps a little heavier.

    I thoroughly enjoyed the HM beef & pork meatballs last night & cuz two of the three offspring refused to even try them I polished off the lot:o No1 did have some but didn't like them; Pup demolished his non-onion ones & I'm really looking forward to the next lot lurking in the freezer. It was a mixture I'd blitzed using mince, belly slices, lentils, split peas, onion, garlic & hm breadcrumbs...so obviously not that gut-busting if you think about it;) I didn't think to brown them in the fry pan first, so just bunged 'em in a casserole dish for 40mins, added a tin of chopped toms for the last 10 & served with spaghetti....nomnomnom indeedy!
