Evening one and all
Glad you are feeling a little better cheerfulness -i have missed allsorts whilst i have been away,,,i know that you see -throwing the chocs out as waste... but "better waste than WAIST"
... it would have been more wastefull to eat them just because they were there.... so i think you did the best thing with em :T ....... I used to have a similar problem with my lovely mum.. but it was "would you like a piece of cake?" NO? oh well i won't bother either then  ... she basically wanted me to have some so she wouldn't feel so bad for having some
and no end of times i did:mad: ... till we went back over xmas... and she realised that it meant she would have to go without too as i didn't want any :rotfl:
Have to agree with Agapanthus...(hello and welcome on board by the way:D ) I don't keep choc, cakes, biscuits, crisps etc in the house either -much easier when you have no children... i just know that as long as i get out of the shop without them -then i will be fine.. and if at any point i want something badly enough -then i will have to walk the 1/2 hr to the Naffi and the 1/2hr back to get it:rotfl: ....I do keep ice cream in for hubby -but it doesn't bother me -even though i am a confirmed ice cream addict-well i was, now i just swipe 1tsp out of hubbies when he has it and its enough:eek: as long as i have my yogurts and fruit in im okay... mind i am down to 3 yogs in the fridge so im getting a bit twitchy :rotfl: so shall go for a walk tomorrow and get some
Jackie_w you are welcome ...i will dig out some more soon
well dinner was yummy..did far too many potatoes and onions so the rest are going back in the oven to crispy up tomorrow -with hm sausages on for hubby and veggies.....
Have a fresh loaf of bread cooling on the worktop mmmm but actually think im to full to snaffle any with cream cheese later:eek:
right off for some more water and then we are going to settle down and watch a film:D
have a great evening everyone

Hi All,
It's been another day cooped up in the flat as the rain came pouring down. I've done lots of playing with the baby; action rhymes, lift the flap books etc. He also spent a very happy hour with a spoon and a pan with the most adorable look of concentration on his face. I've also introduced him to some more home cooking - broccoli with cream cheese and potato, and stewed apple.
Not been too bad foodwise though I did succumb to 4 squares of milk chocolate with my coffee after tea.
Breakfast: Fruit and fibre with skimmed milk and raisins. Pineapple juice.
Lunch: Tomato soup and piece of freshly baked bread. Piece of apple.
Tea: Pasta with bacon, mushrooms, onions and garlic in a cheese sauce (not much sauce). I've even saved some sauce to make a portion of cauliflower cheese tomorrow. Orange
Nice to see the new faces.

Hi everyone,
Very happy, weight loss this week of 4lb! :T :T :T
Really surprised, weighed myself weds and had only lost 1lb so I thought I was in for a bad week. I think its because the start of the week was that time of the month  and all that lovely bloating and water retention stopped the weight loss showing.
Even better, put my jeans on today and buckled my belt at the usual hole. Felt too loose and was able to tighten it by a furthur 3 notches!I think thats a sign of progress!!!
Mixed day today, very long shopping trip so unable to get my walking in  . At least my worse food was at lunchtime so hopefully I've burnt it off
B. Nothing
L. hotdog and chips
Snack. - piece of cake
D. piles of stirfry veg, 1 x crunchy pesto chicken breast
Snack - apple
Will do some extra walking later in the week to compensate. I have a fortnight off work starting monday :j so am gonna have a 2 week intensive battle to really get the fat shifting. Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -
Well done chloe! :T You're doing really great.

Hi guys
Have just read the last 9 pages and want to join in the fun:j. I have just recovered from a very serious bout of depression and now realise that I need to lose about 4 stone. I don't have the inclination to join a slimming class. I just want to do some healthy eating by sharing recipes and getting some support.
Managed to lose 6lb last week by kind of following SW prog. Think I helped this along with some walking/jogging/body attack so I am keeping this up this week with a 42 min jog with OH tonight. Feel great at just losing 6lb :T0 -
Cheerfulness4..
Your mum is slightly jealous of you, so does this to get your hackles up. My Mum always did the same.
Why not ask her to bring round all the chocolates she doesn't want. You can use them. That is almost a guarantee that she won't bring any ever again.....;););););)
If she does bring them round, thank her for them. Say you'll use them later.
She's not bringing the chocolates around to get a lovely "Thankyou" from you,,, she's bringing them round PRECISELY because YOU DON'T WANT THEM. Gives her power.
SOOOO Give her a hug and a huge thankyou and say you'll savour them later.
THEN IMAGINE THEM COVERED IN GRAVY and GIVE THEM AWAY TO A CHOCOLATE EATER...firemen, nursing home, homeless shelter... whatever

Hello again, just wondered if anyone here is on keeping their Glycemic Load down? I had a day of it today and felt OK, porridge for breakfast, nut loaf and salad, mandarin for lunch, small banana for snack and egg, mushrooms and tomatoes for dinner. Didn't want pizza anyway, though I made it for the family, who appreciated it. Somewhat spoilt it with the piece of flapjack just now, but no snacking between meals and no chocolate were steps forward for me![SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Now that wouldn't work with me because my eyes would tell me otherwise.. I even drank a cup of tea with a spider in the bottom once!
