Hi there,
I'm back in the real world, except that somehow I seem to be looking rather lumpy! Don't know what happened!
I was at the Youth Music Festival last week and it didn't do my eating much good at all. Did walk a lot though, but obviously not enough to work off what I ate. It didn't seem that much, but not always able to make very good choices when out and on the go. Anyway, I had a fab time.
Are you lot going to help me to get back on the wagon? I do hope so. My dh insisted that we book flights to go and stay at my sis's place in the sun in July. I NEVER wear a cozzi/go in water (not frightened, just don't like it!) but obviously will still be showing more in the summer!
I arranged for Mr T to deliver the night before I got home (smart move, as dh put most of it away!) so got basics in. DD is at home most of the week, so we'll eat a lot of veggie stufff I guess this week.
Will catch upwith what you have been up to over the next few days.
Remember.... I'm relying on you to help! Right, let's start with porridge!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Oh dear - it's going to be a bad day here. A very large bowl of muesli plus two slices of toast with butter and marmalade and 2 after 8s that I found on the shelf! Better start checking in on here regularly I think. I like the sound of your oats and yogurt MrsMcwaber. I persevered with cooking porridge for weeks, then suddenly couldn't get it down without gagging so gave up again. Since then I know I've been eating more and all wrong stuff. Hey Ho.Resolution:

Morning folks :hello:
Not been able to get on our home 'puter at all seeing as OH has had 2 puters in bits all over the spare room - which I'm in the middle of decorating so I'll leave you to imagine the mess
I've had a cr*ppy weekend, all the best laid plans etc.........BUT I managed to stick to plan, in fact we were going to go out for a meal last night but I ended up cooking so that saved a few calories/points/syns:T
On the down side I've done no exercise other than press the remote
Today I've had egg on wholemeal toast and a banana, lunch is couscous and chickpea salad with fruit if I need it, tea will possibly be quorn sausage and sweet potato mash.
Off now to try and catch up on the posts! :A0 -
Hey all...
Friday night we had friends around, HM Pizza (veggie) and a glass of red wine for me. Saturday we went to OH's parents - had steak and oven chips for dinner, prawn sandwhich for lunch, croissant for a snack (!), Sunday had a small bacon roll, cheese and chutney sandwhich and prawn balti, sugar free jelly for desert. Not too naughty a weekend for me really!
Today:
B: 2 x wholemeal toast w/ lime marmalade
S: strawberries and grapes
L: small amount of leftover curry, courgettes thrown in!chicken wraps, corn, salad

that sounds lovely - wouldn't have thought of adding nutmeg. I might try it as potato cakes and fry it in some frylight! luckily I have some sweet spuds in as I had some yellow stickered ones from Tesco. Might try them tonight with my quorn burgers instead of pasta.:TDo what you love :happyhear0 -
WI today for me and no loss again - BUT I have been munching easter eggs, crisps and the like this past week ("that time" and I crave carbs and sugar like mad!) so I'm just happy not have put anything on!!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

:hello: everyone and welcome back purpleivy - hope you all had a good weekend. Well done to all the losers and encouragement for all the tryers (like me). I stayed the same this week, which I expected after losing 10lbs last week, and TBH I haven't been that good really. Anyway today I am back at it with a vengence. Food today is:
Breakfast - nothing - wasn't hungry at all
lunch - baked potato with salad and cottage cheese
dinner - roast chicken, cabbage, cauliflower, carrot and swede, gravy followed by strawberries
snacks will probably be fruit and maybe a yoghurt.
I sorted through my freezer and food cupboards over the weekend and I have soooooo much food in it's unbelievable - and yet I STILL keep going to the supermarket and buying more! I am not going to by anything other than milk, bread, dog food and washing powder until it is all used up!
I am going to the dentist this afternoon for a check up - I hate the dentist and have got myself all worked up because I have this little tiny red spot on the inside of my lip and when I looked on the internet I found all this stuff about mouth cancer and now I am completely terrified. I am the original cyperchondriac - that's probably why I wasn't hungry at breakfast time and I might not be able to eat my lunch....
Purpleivy - I'm sure you will be right back on the wagon in no time!
hope you are all having a good day.Jane

me again
i'm panicking a little. i seem to have come to a standstill on weight loss but i'm not sure why. i've only lost 1st since november and i've got another 3 stone to lose by Sep 09, ideally i'd like to lose it by Jan 09 as i've got to order my dress, etc and i may be having it made.
i need to bumpstart the weight loss again, any ideas? i think more exercise would give it a kick but was thinking of perhaps doing a 'special k-esque' diet for two weeks, its worked for me previously.
what does everyone think?
recovering i'm just like you, any symptoms i'm straight on the net, usually nhs direct, which usually tells me i have either meningitis, cancer or ms :rotfl: then of course i'm panic stricken.

HI all, am hungry today - skipped porridge as I was bored of it and had wholemeal toast and choc spread - not a good move as I'm hungry
Lunch is jacket spud with tuna and olives
Tea is chilli (big vat of it in the slow cooker).toniwoty2009 wrote: »i need to bumpstart the weight loss again, any ideas? i think more exercise would give it a kick but was thinking of perhaps doing a 'special k-esque' diet for two weeks, its worked for me previously.

I found going for just a 2 or 3 mile walk in my lunch hour made a difference and weight loss kicked in again - although now mine has changed to maintain but that's because of the "extras" I've been eating when I reached goal - pack of sweets here, extra bit of toast etc.
I want to kick start mine again and lose a bit more so from tomorrow will ban myself from sweets, biscuits and crisps (as well as toast with choc spread) and keep more of a check on what I eat and portion sizes for dinner.
OH did start his diet off with the kellogs thing but he found it difficult (although he lost loads) - he got bored so I know I definitely would get bored of it (probably about 3 days into it).
Maybe change your breakfast or reduce carbs in the evening, or make some other change in your diet to see if that has an effect?working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi all, well done to the losers, maintainers and general all around triers
1lb off since last time I was weighed which is good because I have been binge eating very badly over last few weeks, too much personal trauma going on and as normal I've been turning to food for comfort. Anyway hoping I can get some momentum going now.
B = nothing, I felt sick
L = HM parsnip soup but I am struggling to get it down (its sat on the desk next to me)
D = HM chilli and rice but only a little bit of rice - would normally have salad with chilli but have not been shopping yet. I have 15-16 weeks until my holiday - 1lb a week really would make a difference as I would be ecstatic to get down to 10stone again. Right now even breaking the 11stone barrier would make a huge difference.
Take care everyone, have a good day xxComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
