    Hi Donna

I adore yogurt :p ...i tend to go for that when im in a hurry -like hubby waking me up to go for a walk this morning :rotfl: or if i want to get the shopping done -I like to get out early..
I find it tides me over, and i will quite often have a piece of fruit mid morning to fill the gap until lunchtime...
One thing i do have which you might like to try is... soaked porridge oats... I put oats in a dish and add some milk and shove it in the fridge over night and then in a morning i add about half a pot of yoghurt -my oats have dried apple and sultanas in and the milk makes them plump up again ;) . The oats soaked are supposed to release their energy more slowly than if you cook them -so keep me full for longer.. I only use 25g of porridge and it keeps me full...plus its lovely and sweet ;)

    Hello all,

Got a cob on today because I haven't lost a jot even though I haven't eaten any pap all week. Anyway, no use sulking about it so I am still doing the same but will try and up my activity this week.

    Today I had:

B: 2 granary toast with lime marmalade (no butter)
L: 1 wholemeal roll with small amount of coleslaw and cucumber, 1 packet of salt and shake crisps
    D: Vegetable dhansak and rice

I also had 4 mini creme eggs as my Sunday extravagence and I thoroughly enjoyed them :)

    Evening all,

Up at 7 this am to take DS2 to airport for his LA trip, back to cook breakfast...had a small amount of cereal ( can't remember what!) before I went and then had small hm roll with bacon and fried egg with orange juice, went shopping, had small serving of yesterday's risotto when I came back and then had hm spaghetti with meatballs and half a small roll, 3 hobnobs (naughty) and have had 2 apples since...huge amount of food, decided this morning to eat 6 small meals per day to lessen cravings, but think that I overdid it to-day...will see how things go to-morrow, must do some walking.

Congratulations to losers and welcome to any newbies

    Marie

Your food sounds lovely but do you think there sounds quite a lot of bread/rice in there Perhaps have the bread for breakfast and something different for lunch?

Yep totally agree with you, I was at my friends place so totally at her mercy yesterday
Usually I only have Bread once a day and try and avoid having rice or pasta in the same day (I weight all pasta/rice and only have brown).
Think you might have hit the button there though, carbs are my weakness and I really need to make some more soups for the freezer to take to work for lunch but I just don't seem to get the chance at the moment :o

Another lovely day here today.. gorgeous sunshine if not a bit crisp. :)

Feel full of energy this morning so will try and get some extra exercise today. Have a book to pick up at my little library around the corner so there's a chance to stretch my legs. :D Will drag DS2 with me..I'm sure he'll be thrilled.

    Food today:
    Readybrek
Foiled baked salmon, sweet potato mash, kale and carrots
Salad sandwich in HM seedy bread

    Snacks - the usual oranges/apples/mandarins

Must get a wholemeal seedy loaf in the breadmaker as I'm nearly out. How did that happen?

DS2 back to school work today but I'm almost feeling redundant on that score as he's pretty self sufficient these days. I'll only be needed when the pen flies across the floor and he declares 'the books got it wrong again, mum!' when he's checking his work. :p

DS1 is away on his happy hols with my parents at the end of the week so I'll have to go sort his clothes and pack for him over the next few days.
Two t-shirts and a pair of pants he's laid out! :wall: The horror of it is...he'll probably come back having only worn those, too. I'll have to put my dad on pants patrol. :p

    Better get my self shifted.

Have a fun day everyone. ;)

    Morning all!

another day off:j but tomorrow I am at work form 11am till 5pm on Wednesday(sleeping in) so I wont be about much after today.

MRSM - your oats sound like muesli to me:D thats what i do with mine - soak it overnight and the fruit goes all juicy and it does fill you up for longer! havent tried it with yoghurt though! You sound like a regular green fingers with all your veggies!:D we bought some more cauliflower seeds yesterday as ours havent taken very well. Our peas are shooting up in the spare room though!

Cheerfulness - your menu for today sounds yummy! I must try sweet potato mash with my salmon - I usually roast it.

Floyd - keep going, I've found that sometimes it takes a week for the loss to show so in the second week of being good you might get a really good loss!

Am not too sure whats on my menu yet but i think this might be it!

    B - 2 x small wholemeal toasts

    banana

L - jacket spud with spaghetti hoops

D - quorn burger with pasta with a cheesy type of sauce.

    low fat yoghurt.

Hope you all have a great day!
    Do what you love :happyhear

Taplady - a friend of mine says that his wife makes sweet potato mash with a little nutmeg and then mixes grated cheese to it and puts it under a high grill. He says its delicious. I fancy trying that as a meal in itself with steamed veg. :D
