I'd like to join you all if I may.

I have weighed myself this morning and the damage is 18st exactly.
I am 5'10" so I would be aiming for about 11st which may take some time:rotfl: :rotfl:

I have had some wholemeal toast for breakfast and will be having spag bol for tea. Lunch is as yet undecided.

It's not meals that are a problem for me but in between. Iill grab something and realise how stupid I am afterwards. I am hoping that confession is good for the soul or at least the waistline;) .

    Thanks everyone.

I have been lurking for a while. but the one thing that has put me off is how many posts there are to read every day! I may not always have the time to read them all, but have decided that it shouldn't stop me joining.

    Hi Donna
I don't always have time to read all the posts but I find that making myself sit and write down what I am eating helps me focus more on what I should and shouldn't be having :p
Good luck, you'll find that everyone is very supportive here :T

I didn't have any choccy at all yesterday even though I spent most of the day thinking about it. I finished the day with fresh pineapple with a sprinkling of mint sugar a'la Jamie Oliver and Total 0% greek yoghurt.
To use up the salad we had falafel in wholemeal pitta with chopped salad like a salsa (cucumber, peppers, radish, tomatoes) in lime juice, mint and a small splash of olive oil and tzatziki made with 0% Total and a splash of tabasco, very tatsy!

I haven't eaten anything yet so I will post later to update how I am getting on, have a fab day all :D

    Morning Everyone,:hello:

Last time I posted was Thursday during the day when I said I planned to have HM soup for dinner. I didnt. It wasnt because I didnt want it, it came from the freezer, and it hadnt defrosted:confused: . Sooooo we had a take away:o . We got chillie chicken with rice, nann bread & chips:o . HOWEVER, I didnt even have half of the chicken rice or chips, but, I did have alot of nann bread, cos I love it.

Didnt have anything else bad on Thursday though, so it was just my breakfast, lunch & dinner.

    Yesterday I was okayish

Breakfast - cereal, cup of coffee

Lunch - 4 crispbreads with laughing cow light cheese triangle, muller light toffee yogurt and a coffee.

Dinner _ HM soup with 2 slices of HM bread with flora light.

    Snacks/drinks, coffee, 6 thorntons original toffee-chocs & 2 glasses of rose wine:o .

I think I did not too bad yesterday considering I have a big bag of the thorntons chocs in the house.

So far today ive had Rice krispies with 2 cup of coffee, and Im starving, and I mean my belly feels empty and its rumbling. Might go and have a yogurt.

    Lunch - should be, soup

Dinner- chicken with pitta bread & salad.

Oh ive got a confession to make, well not so much a confession, but, I need to update my weight. Last time I posted my weight I think I was 9st 8lbs, however, I put on and went up to 9st 11lbs, then I lost 1lb, but, have since put on 1.5lbs, so, currently I stand at 9st 11.5lbs. Now you might think this isnt alot, but, im only 5' 3 so i couold be doing with losing a bit.
Im not going to go with the weight the boots machine told me, cos I was standing on it with my shoes, heavy coat scarf etc, and anyway it said I was 10st 2lbs:p .

I weighed myself on my own scales in the house (will need to keep them in the same place) last night and it said 9st 11.5 so I will go with that.
Will weigh myself again next Friday.

    Hi All

Well done on the weight loss Cheerfulness. Welcome too to DonnaP.

It's quite cloudy here but still lovely and warm. In fact it was still 17C last night at 2am when OH came to bed. We only have 4 weeks left before we return to the UK for the summer so want to make the most of it.

I persuaded OH out for an extra long walk yesterday so managed about 12,500 steps of exercise for the day and even came under on my daily 1,400 calories so feeling pleased about that. I extended my trip to the communal bins today up by going a longer way round and still wasn't out of breath jogging back so am pleased about that.

It's shopping day today so shall stock up on lots of fruit and vegetables. We don't have to worry about running stocks down ready for leaving too much as we only have a tiny freezer compartment above the fridge which barely holds anything anyhow.

    B: Muesli etc. Fruit juice.
    L: Tomato soup. Roll. Banana
D: Chicken with rice, peppers and mushrooms. Yoghurt.
    Snack: Orange

If it works I've put a link to show how beautiful it is where we are now if anyone is interested. I keep talking about walks to the beach, village square etc. so thought you might like to see it

  • Hello everyone! :T :T :T to all the losers and :T to Marie too, because you are staying focused and still posting every day so in the end the weight will come off!

I have been feeling distinctly poorly the last couple of days with a really bad sore throat and swollen glands and general shivering and the like. I couldn't sleep with my throat in the night so got up at 6 and rang NHS direct who got a doctor to ring me and he phoned a prescription through to my local chemists for some Amoxycillin, so hopefully I will start to pick up later on. Infection can affect my heart AF so I need to make sure I get antibiotics if I get any kind of bug.

Haven't got weighed yet but will go up and get on the scales in a minute (too lazy at the moment) and post it later.

Welcome to newbies - I'm sure you will get loads of inspiration from the thread - I know I do.

I am not feeling too much like eating today so breakfast was half a slice of toast (just to have something to take tablets), lunch will be soup and possibly a yoghurt and dinner tonight is maybe going to be Jamie Oliver's meatballs in tomato sauce, with cabbage for me and pasta for DD's. At the moment the thought of them makes me heave a bit so I may have to let them have something easier and just have more soup...

Hope you are all having a good weekend - will go and read through properly now.

Soz Guys....Brain is def on melt-down, but here's something I'll hope you'll enjoy.

"Grandad's Pud":D so called because my dad used to make it when the offspring were around.
It makes a lovely mousse; you can add fruit either as a layer or stir it in after the final whisk.

Don't know why I didn't think to post it before:confused:
