    Hi all

I would like to join this 'group' if that's possible...

I have been lurking for a while. but the one thing that has put me off is how many posts there are to read every day! I may not always have the time to read them all, but have decided that it shouldn't stop me joining.

At my heaviest I have been 13 stone 12 lbs and my lowest was 8 1/2 stones. I have weighed in this morning at 12 stone 7lbs (it is not so bad admitting that on here as no one can see me!). I am 5 foot 3 inches.

My first goal is to get down to 11 stone as I am supposed to be having a tummy tuck after the birth of my twins 4 years ago has left me with awful excess skin on my stomach which the consultant has admitted won't go with diet or exercise.

Every time I get near to that weight I start eating for England (perhaps its psychological and I am nervous about the op, even though I really want it).

My thinking is that if I can get down to that weight, get the op out of the way, I can then reassess whether I need to lose any more (the op will reduce my weight a little also). I certainly don't aim to get down to my lowest weight as this was in my early 20's (I am now 41).

Well, that's me. I will try and pop in and read some posts but can't guarantee to read all, but I am going to record my weight each Saturday. Does anyone keep a tally of weekly weight loss (I think I have seen that on a thread, but perhaps its a different one)?

    Welcome DonnaP :)

mhe - I do live up north now, have done for 20 odd years and love it. I can't imagine having to live without Home Bargains.

Well I am dancing around the room because I've lost 3 1/2 lbs today. :D :j
I don't usually do this but I got on and off the scales THREE times before I would believe it. :p And all the lads in the house are still asleep so I can't tell them.
I'm thinking that they will relieved as I overheard DS1 asking what was up with me (must have had grumpy look  ) and DS2 saying that I was sulking cos I'd not lost anything that week. Oh dear, and there was me thinking I was handling it well. :o

    Food today:
    Muesli yoghurt
Home cooked ham salad with seedy bread
    Assorted cheese and crackers

Snacks - orange, apple and mandarin

And a big thank you to whoever told me Aldis sold muesli yoghurt.:iloveyou: I've been searching for years for them and the nearest that I got was hazlenut, which I love too.

Well I better tiptoe around for another hour or so as I'm up so early... think I'll bung the kettle on and have a cup of tea with lovely fresh milk (been using UHT which I'm not struck on but was on offer. )

Catch you all later and Marie, even if you're not talking to yourself we all still will. ;)

Thanking you kindly MRSMC :D and I've just realised that this is the lowest the kids will remember seeing me (bar a quick drop for 3 month in 1990 when DS1 was 9 months old)

It feels soooooooooo good. *moon walks round the room*

I just don't get it tho... first a tried really hard and lost zilch, then I overdo it a bit and it drops off. Whatever.. will be a happy mummy this week for the lads. :D And now I have 6 1/2 lbs to go for my BH challenge. I might make it this time.

    cheerfulness that's fantastic! a big :T :T :T :T to you.

welcome donnap , don't worry if you can't read all the post, we're a busy bunch on here ;)

marie don't worry about that. have you considered whether it is a "proper" gain? did you do something different before WI, like have dinner when you don't normally or something, it can affect it. even if it is a proper gain, never mind, there's nothing you can do now except give yourself a kick up the bum this week ;):D i often need a swift boot to the backside :rotfl:

    anyway, meals for today-
b: weetabix or crunchy nut c/flakes
l: selection crackers/ryvitas and cheese, yoghurt
d: some sort of pesto pasta. as OH wasn't well last night i went w/out my dinner, opting for half a sandwich.

lots of housework to do today, mum and dad are coming over to take DS for a walk into town as the sun is shining. no doubt he will get bought a happy meal, cake, etc and come back with a selection of cars from woolies

must get on. have a good one :A
well done any losers i've missed, newbies i haven't noticed and HELLO everyone else! we seem to have been missing a few regulars lately i think

I'm feeling very left out ladies, not only do I not have mirrored wardrobes;) I have never heard of or been to Home Bargains- I think my life may be all the poorer for it.
Week after next I'm in Manchester for a couple of days I'll keep a look out!!!

    Have a stonking weekend xxx
  • Good morning everyone and a great big :T :T :T to cheerfulness, well done you!:j

Congrats to all the other losers this week too, I haven't had time to post but have been keeping an eye on everyone;) . See we've got lots of newbies too, welcome to you all!

I've struggled this week, think it's because it's been so cold and I wanted comfort food. Caved in last night and made a great big toad in the hole, butchers special sausages and nothing remotely low fat about them:eek: , but it was yummy and has got rid of the craving so I'm well and truly back on the wagon today.

Just had porridge, lunch will be veg soup and tonight will be mushroom omlette and salad.

Got a date with the hoover now, I'll put a bit of extra effort into it today to try and burn off at least a bit of those flippin' sausages from last night!

    Have a good weekend everyone!

    Good morning,

I had a bit of a technical hitch last night. I couldn't sleep so at 11.30pm I got back out of bed and made myself what amounted to an extra meal. There's probably no chance of cutting back today to make up for it today as I am so tired from lack of sleep.

I shall be doing as little as possible today, but today's meals are

    B : crumpets with jam
L : veg soup with wholemeal bread
D :quorn burger with jacket potato and salad.

    Well done cheerfulness, that's a great loss :j :j :j

Good morning all, well done for all those who have lost weight. well my weigh in day is going to be fridays, so I have got nearly a week to go.
I had a little blip last night, I baked some small choc biscuits last night and temptation got the better of me and I ate 8 or so of them:eek: with a nice cold glass of milk. But I have told myself they were homemade so no nastys and I could have gone to the coop and bought x amount of chocolate bars, biscuits etc and spent a good £10.00 on rubbish and consumed far more fat and calories.
so today going to be a :A and have no treats. heres what I am planning on eating today:

    Breakfast- a bowl of porridge
Lunch- 2 boiled eggs and a slice of wholemeal toast, yoghurt
Dinner- something made with lamb cubes and pots asnd veg
will have an apple for a snack
    :hello:
    empy
good luck for today and welcome to all who have just joined
