Hello, was relatively good yesterday -stuck to what I'd projected for food and only had 4 of the Thorntons in the evening (am sick of them to be honest but they're still there asking to be eaten - the Flake Easter Egg is still safely hidden in the cupboard and bears no risk as yet!)

I managed to do a 15 min walk in the morning before work, 40 mins straight after work and then 20 mins after Corrie (all with the dog) so hopefully that'll cancel out the few choccies.

    Today I have planned/had
    B - Special K bar
L - Egg sandwich (with just a teaspoon of low fat mayo), hot cross bun
D - probably 2 quorn sausages with potato bake (not made this before so it may all go horribly wrong!)

Will try to do at least an hour walk later too but have a handyman coming round after work to sort out some household stuff I'm useless at so time may be a bit tight before it gets too dark.

    Keep it up everyone!

    Morning all!

Stuck to my food aim last night (OH made us mushroom and ham ommelettes, beans and 1 slice of wholemeal)... but following my doctors appointment, I felt the need for a few JD and diet cokes, which were scrumptious.

    Today:
B: 2 x wholemeal w/ lime marmalade (have now run out of lime marmalade :( )
    L: noodles, veg, yoghurt, orange
D: Quorn SF chicken burgers, salad, wedges

    xx

    Hi All

Have only jsut been brave enough to venture onto this thread but was wondering if it is ok to join??

Im currently here at 5'5, and weighing 13st 5lbs. Bf keeps nicely reminding me that i was a size 12 when we met and now im a 16/18 which doesnt help but the slight nice thought i have in my head is hes nagged me to death and when we weighed ourselfs yesterday he was 5lbs heavier than me - so im determined to keep it that way and stay lgihter than him.

Also feelign ashamed my younger sister whos 21 has had two kids (the youngest being 6 months) and she went up to a size 14 from a size 6 and she is already back to her little size 8 frame! whereas my son is almost 4 years old and i still feel like a blob, doesnt help that my mums a size 12 either!

So im resolving to do it - i do take the dog out for an hour long walk in the day and i do have a step machine in the house which hasnt been used since - oohh..........last christmas. Also have a sit up machine and weights which have had the same fate and have been banished to the bedroom, so think i need to get them out and dust them off again.

Also have to say i have a phobia of new foods so some of my meals may seem quite boring but im hoping this will help me try new things too, and help me to get my anaemia under control - think im one blood test away form having iron injections!

I am looking forward to getting started.
    Time to find me again

    Hi Sammy and welcome,
This is the right place for getting fitter and slimmer:D you can join in with the Mayday Challenge- Mayday is about 6 weeks away and you just chose an amount to lose and off we go. I've decided 7lbs is a good target for me to lose in this time frame anything else is a bonus (or a flippin miracle!)
Had laziest day ever yesterday my pedometer reading was pathetic but got TOTM from hell (my age maybe the change:eek: )
    B- porridge
L- Ham roll pear and apple
    D Prawn curry
Weigh in tomorrow, will honestly be pleased with just maintaining as we had Easter;)

Have a good day all xx

I have seen several of your other threads ...and you have obviously been putting a lot of time, effort and love into your little family..... so it's nice you are starting to do something for yourself now:j ...
Your boyfriend will have to learn that us ladies very rarely do anything if someone is trying to push us into it -especially losing weight ;) in fact we normaly eat more out of deffiance -or is that just me :o ... i have had ex's who never realised that... luckily my hubby is a little diamond and has never commented that he thinks i should lose weight..... mind he probably likes his "dangly bits" where they are :rotfl:
Enough rambling..... only popped on to say hello :D

Saversarn...hope you are feeling better soon :D

Hiya Sammy  You'll be right at home here as lots of us losing weight on a small budget and still enjoying our home baking.... I've read a few of your threads, too. ;)

My hubby and MRSMc's must be brothers because in 20 years he's never asked me to lose weight or ever really mentioned it other than to make the right noises when I lose some... :D and I have to admit..I've weighed more than him our whole marriage. :shhh: Hopefully I'm doing something about that now as he's 6'1 and I'm only 5'4. :o

My experiment with French Onion soup has been brilliant, apart from slicing the onions. Why do I cut them myself when the food processor is just sitting there redundant?
It smells gorgeous but I've now got to decide whether to go the whole hog and float the bread and cheese on top and whack under the grill, or whether to go without that. Now you know what I'm thinking......:o

    Afternoon everyone,

Sammy_Kaye 18, Welcome. This thread is great support. I fall off the "wagon" quite regulary, but, when I come back on here, everyone gives me great support. I personally think thats the secret to come on here every day and that will help you stay motivated.

Today so far has been good:

Breakfast - frosties with S/S milk and a Coffee

Lunch - HM bread sandwich with ham & cheese, coffee & a mullerlight yogurt.

Dinner- Plan is for HM soup

Im going to try to not have any chocolate today. If I feel hungry then I will have a yogurt or a slice of toast.

I used to go to a slimming class, and what Im struggling with now is the fact that I dont buy "low fat foods", ie cheese etc. when I was buying it it was only me that used that, so, alot of it went to waste. I end up worrying that cos Im not using low fat foods that I will put on more weight because Im eating exactly the same as the rest of the family:confused: Weird.
Must try to re-programme my brain I think.

    Jackie xx

Hi everyone. I'm contemplating returning to WW this evening for the first time in nearly two years. I'm one and a half stone heavier than when I last visited but as a mad moneysaver, the thought of the £5.50 chokes me. Inspire me please someone!!

Put the £5.50 into a sealed pot each week. When you reach a target weight loss (written in big writing on the pot) - treat yourself to new clothes!!! :D
