    Afternoon all

    Bigmummaf....

Evans clothing does have a habbit of being odd proportions..well i always thought so..
either tops very wide but not long, or sooooo long they loooked like maternity wear.... I don't tend to wear sleeveless... but why oh why do they cut the armholes sooo big that they come to your waist
They put snazzy belts etc on... how many of us are going to be able to show the belt off  jeeeeezzz i wouldn't be tucking my tops in and shoving a belt on top
I have paid off my evans account and cut up my card...a personal protest and a marker that im never ever going to need to go in a special shop to get clothes ever again:D

We are having jacket potatoes with cottage cheese n salad for dinner :j one of our faves... hubby had his chilli for lunch..

Hope everyone is ok..have a good evening
and hello to everyone not mentioned :D

I get those flappy fits under the hips too...thought it might be that my legs aren't long enough.

Mum's just gone after spending the day and I've now got a pile of 'treats' to dispose of. Was hoping for more prawns but I've got Montana chocolate crisp fingers (look yum), huge bag of gummy sweets mixed with wine gums, and 6 Twirls. I love Twirls.

Opps the Montana's are now no more...OH and DS1 just walked in door and devoured. :T 3 Twirls also on their way out, DS2 just offered them round. Just the gummy sweets to deal with now. I'll let hubby take care of those. All sorted.

Bigmumma - I've got a full length mirror in my bathroom... in fact as its a small room we've got mirrors on 3 of the 4 walls... so I can't avoid seeing my 'handles' even if I tried. I hate the ones on the back of my arms above the elbows. :p

Did anyone else read the report that a zoo is now starting to adopt the WW diet for dealing with their overweight animals. I hope they get an 'at home' discount for that lot....otherwise the weigh in meetings could be a tad lively. :D

    Have a good evening everyone.

  • Hello everyone. Hope you are all having a good day. Have just got back from the fracture clinic with DD2, where they resplinted her fingers. She was not impressed to be told that she could still go to school!

Food today has been okay so far:
Breakfast - 1 thin slice toast with 1tbs peanut butter and small banana
Lunch - cod and mushy peas (no batter or chips!)
    Snacks - pear and strawberries
Dinner - don't know yet as I am not at all hungry. Might just have some fruit and yoghurt or a small salad and cottage cheese.

I finally got my dishwasher ordered today - the old one broke a fortnight ago and I have been lost without it! Just wanted to ask - since I have been doing about 6 loads of washing up a day my hands are in a terrible state. Despite using loads of hand cream the backs of my hands are really red and sore and look sort of swollen up and the skin is all cracked. Anyone got any suggestions for cream to use? I seem to remember that my mum used to used a mixture of margarine and sugar on her hands but I don't want to make things worse!

Was driving home from the hospital with DD2 earlier and noticed that ex-OH and the footballers wife's house is for sale. When I got home I looked it up on the internet and it is £750,000, which has just made my blood boil as he has never paid one penny to help me with the mortgage on the house we shared and it's only worth about a quarter of that! PLUS I had to buy him out of it or else it would have had to be sold when DD2 was 18. This sort of thing can really bring on a binge so I will have to be really careful not to let myself get too wound up, particularly as he will be here in a minute as he comes round every night and sits off here for a couple of hours, lying on the couch watching TV and drinking coffee and I am too unassertive to tell him to [strike]f*** off[/strike] get lost. Sorry to have gone on but it has made me feel a bit better!

lol! - I too have those mirrored wardrobes - mine face the bed so I open them every night before I go to bed. When I got them I thought they would make me stick to my diet but somehow I have just got used to averting my eyes!

Don't know about Evans but me and my sister are different "shapes" and always found trousers to be a difficult thing to find. I found M&S fitted me well, but sis didn't. BHS trousers always have extra flappy bits of material below my hips (when I get the size to fit over my hips) and I never worked out whether that was me or not - but it made my belly area look even more huge!!!

I think it's the style and cut that makes the biggest difference and different shops or ranges in the same shop seem to vary loads ;)

Evans trousers andjeans used to fit me lovely til about 18months ago, i went from 20 to 24/26 without putting a pound on or changing in anyway  think a lot of shops changed their sizing to fit in with new sizing legislation or something but i now dread looking for any kinds of trousers/jeans

I had a slight technical hitch this week. A bit of bad news threw me of course for a few days, but as of tomorrow, I shall be back with you. I will still be getting weighed on Friday morning too.

I work Monday to Wednesday, so tend not to get as much chance to post on those days.

    Hope you're all well.

Finally caught up with all the posts for the last week or so, and have got the jist of the May Day challenge. Im going to go for 7lbs for May Day.

Today has been a not bad day.

    Breakfast - Frosties S/S Milk & a coffee

Lunch- half a baked potato with cheese & bacon

Snack - cup of coffee with a chunky kit kat :o

Dinner - Pasta with HM tomato sauce

Ive also had some more tea/coffee and 1 lite of water.

Im actually wanting something else to eat, but, Im not that hungry. Im about to make my sandwiches for work tomorrow and Im thinking of having either some toast or 1 sandwich with cheese & ham.

Im not sure if I should have something or not. I think ive done okay today apart from the kit kat, and the plate of pasta was a small plate, the same size as the kids (I have those big square plates, and I find the big plates too big, so I always have small ones).

I will try to hold off, and see what happens later in the night.
DH & DS away to football tonight to see Scotland game, so, they will probably have some supper when they come in, so, I might hang off until then and have something light with them.

    Jackie xx

P.S Does anyone know if you can take denims in? I have a pair of denims in my wardrope that need taken down a size. I really love them, but, they are a bit big for me now, and was wondering if I would be able to take them to a shop for them to be altered.
