  • Hi everyone,

its such a lovely day today, went out a walked briskly for over an hour :T . Tomorrow is weigh day so will let you know how i've done this week. Aim was 2lb and hopefully I'll have hit it.

    Food for today:

    B. Nothing (got up late, went for walk, wasn't worth it by time I got back!)

    L. 2 x huge oranges, 5 squares chocolate ;)

    D. Roast chicken, 1 x yorkie pud, small piece of stuffing, few roast potatoes, veg (not sure what veg dad is cooking!) gravy

Snacks/treats - will probably have some wine later, maybe a little more choc, also fruit for after dinner.

I don't like chocolate but just keep stop eating it once starting my diet! Weird.

Am starting to see changes which is nice, size 20 trousers looking bit baggy round the waist and lumpy backs of thighs are much smoother and getting more toned.

Must do some college work now  , really not in the mood.

Anyway, have a good day all, I'll probably pop back this evening to see what sort of day you've all had :hello:

    Hello everybody,

Feeling slightly better today, lived mainly on hm soup and honey/lemon drinks yesterday, dosed myself with my trusty coughbottle last night and slept 12 hours...not sure what I want to eat, have had some brown bread and honey and a bowl of mixed veg soup...put 12 cloves of garlic in soup and feel much better since I had that so might have another one before dinner, which is baked bream with baked potatoes and brussels sprouts with bacon...might do cheese sauce too.

Jackie_w....my only experience with motivational books was on smoking, didn't think it had worked as I had read it 4 times and was still smoking but a small difficulty made me say 'to hell with this I'm not smoking anymore' and six years on I am still not smoking, so I would say that the dvd or book won't do any harm and may work, so its worth a try...might even have a go myself.

Mrs MC ....you really are way ahead with your seeds..we have started but very little happening, most things are in an unheated glasshouse so I suppose miracles are too much to expect! Am determined that this year I am not going to put up with the stale veg which is sometimes all you can get.

Frogga....glad to know that you do occasionally eat the food that normal people do...will try your recipe when I am feeling better!

Caterina...your mother was just upset that she didn't have to feed you up! Envy you the real Italian food!

Good luck to all, together we can do it!

    Hello ladies,
Fed up today, OH and I have had a huge row and we're back to 'vision and no sound'.

I've had eggs and dry toast for brekkie, cupasoup and a HM roll for lunch and I've got an pastryless spinach, leek and mushroom quiche cooking as we speak. I'll do pots and veg with it for me.......don't know if he's eating or not (and don't really care)

I've stewed some plums and blackberries and I'll have them with lowfat greek yoghurt for pud.

I had a walk round the park with the grandkids this morning but that's all the exercise I've had - better than nothing!

    See you tomorrow folks.:A
  • Hope you and OH have made it up now Rockie. ;)

Had a totally lazy day, today. Still in my yetti dressing gown actually. :o As my headache was still here this morning and DH wasn't feeling up to par we decided to spend the day in bed watching dvds, only getting up to get cuppas and food. Was lovely. :D

Got up late afternoon and felt much better. Had a right assortment of things to eat today tho.... not one of my healthiest foodwise but I enjoyed it.

    Food today was:

    maltersers (my breakfast :p )
4 crabstick (while getting milk for a cuppa)
    1 mandarin
    2 sticks of celery
    2 ryvita with cream cheese
3 'rounds' from a HM garlic/onion bread ring (yum)
Lemon/garlic creamy chicken with pasta & salad
    4 olives

I only had a small amount of the lemon creamy chicken & pasta as it is cooked in a double cream sauce but it was so filling. Its the boys favourite tea so when cream is on special I make it.

Hope the cold gets better soon Marie. Still haven't got the hearing back properly in one of my ears after having mine.

Off to veg on sofa with DH. Might as well continue the day the way it started. :D

All the best for those with WI day tomorrow.
Have to say that I got confused with the 'WI' abbrev. I was thinking 'isn't it amazing how many go to the WI meetings. Then the penny dropped. :o

  • Hi All,

It's been pouring down all day here and there is absolutely nothing to do in wet weather on a Sunday in Southern Spain. So we've been stuck in all day. We all watched a DVD this afternoon whilst the baby slept and there has been someone on each laptop most of the time.

I've managed to feed everyone despite having just 2 rings and a microwave so feel quite pleased with myself. Baby has finished all his portions of blended chicken casserole so I shall have to get the blender out again tomorrow and make some more baby meals to last till they go back on Wednesday.

No exercise of course with all the rain so fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow.

Breakfast: Muesli, raisins, skimmed milk, pineapple juice.
Lunch: Pitta bread with burger and onions.
Dinner: Pork chops, saute potatoes and onions, broccoli, mushrooms. Orange.
    Drinks: Milky coffees, water.
Snack: 2 rows of Lidl milk chocolate.

Hello peeps and welcome new slimmers!

I had a good weekend overall I think. On friday I rushed around like something possessed and went to the gym and actually did 5 lengths (ive been avoiding the gym as it seems to hurt my back and knees but this time I was safe), I had a hot x bun and chicken sandwich and unfortunately my best friend bought me over a doughnut! In the evening it was carbonara but the portions were not too big and only had one orange juice with it.

On saturday I went walking round lakeside, we had a la tasca lunch which was very indulgent but I feel is a bit healthier than many restaurant meals you could have. For tea we had the choclate fondue we were meant to have the night before. I made it with high % chocolate and had mostly strawberries.

On sunday I had a few crunchy nut cornflakes, a hot x bun, a panini with bacon and chicken and then sausage casserole when we got home.

The casserole was a big success. It was 2 huge venison sausages that I browned in a pan with 1 chopped onion and some garlic, I then put in the slow cooker with 1/2 courgette, 1 big flat mushroom, tin of tomatoes, 1/4 yellow pepper, cup of lentils, seasoning and a dash of mixed herbs and dash of mild chilli powder, I served it with some brown rice. Ive got enough leftovers for a veggy sauce for some other time too. Me and the boyf both enjoyed the sausages and it was a virtually fat free meal. I didnt have dessert so all round a great meal!

Back to the diet today, I did a lot of walking over the weekend and think the bad food didnt really affect me badly. Todays meals are as follows:
    B-reddy brek with strawberries
L-mackerel pate and oatcakes, yogurt and smoothie
D-turkey stew and wholemeal roll, dark choc

    Snacks-2 hm oat biscuits, grapes

Have a good day girls, im feeling positive today!
