Hi all
I missed this thread, back from Italy, wide as a house of course, and my mother REALLY let me know it!
Very low in self confidence and would like to start afresh again.
How did the Valentine challenge go?
Glad to be back!
Caterina (starting tomorrow!)Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Good luck curly cabbage.

Hi All,
A bit later posting today with having visitors. OH and I are babysitting and have just put LO to bed. He had a little cry but after me going in twice but not picking him up he seems to have fallen fast asleep. OH and I took him shopping to the supermarket this morning and he was lovely - loads of people stopped to 'chat' to him and comment on his big blue eyes.
We managed a walk to the local play park to take him on the slide and then down to the Village Square for a coffee so have had some exercise. The wind has come back and its been quite blowy again so we didn't go onto the beach as we worried the sand might blow into the baby's eyes.
Another healthy day foodwise. I don't know why it is so difficult to drop the weight as I don't binge, eat loads of fruit and veg, and have some exercise every day. I do have a slightly underactive thyroid but not bad enough for the doctors to prescribe anything though they think I will have to have thyroxine eventually.
Breakfast: Muesli with skimmed milk and raisins, pineapple juice.
Lunch: Small piece of baguette with Camembert and cherry tomatoes.
Dinner: Minced beef with carrots, onions, leek, celery, mushrooms, green beans and mashed potatoes. Orange
Drinks: several tiny skimmed milk coffees (I have all milk but in a espresso cup so only about 40 calories each). One Coke. Lots of water.

Jackie- Glad to see you're feeling a bit better. I'll hold my hand up as another one that went down that route and it is soooo hard to give up once you've got into the habit. Queenpig is right.... even when you think you've got it sorted years later you can suddenly get the impulse to do it again and have to fight it. Next time it gets you like that come and chat to us instead.
Horrible headache so need my bed but just wanted to catch up with you all first.

Morning all.. hello to the newbies and the returners :T
Its a lovely day here too -now the frost has gone too..
Hubby is out golfing, but should be back within a couple of hours, so i have had a vaccuum n tidy, got dinner prepared and checked on my seeds  .. i only planted them thursday and out of 44 -18 of them are through and the cucumbers are about 1" tall :T when i went to bed last night they had only just started to pop through... they are in a new thing... imagine a fat £2 coin, your pour water on and it swells a bit like a tea bag...and its a small pot -about 1.5" tall full of compost and you plonk 1 seed in the middle... i don't know if there is food in or what -but heck they make stuff grow quickly :T i have seen them once in the UK but out here each pot works out at 5p each which i think is great -especially if they germinate this well
fingers crossed for lots of veggies
in there i have
butternut squash -to store for autumn/winter soups
crystal apple cucumbers -a nice round cumber -just right for salads for 2
2 other kinds of cumber
2 sorts of runner beans
some french beans
purple beans
yellow beans
borlotti beans
peppers
courgettes
aubergines
and have loads outside in the cold frame/tent thing -carrots, reetboot, peas, potatoes, onions -and loads more to get going soon -lettuce, s onions, raddish etcim all excited....
- For brekkie today i had a yoghurt and a grapefruit mmmmm
- lunch will be some krisprolls with cream cheese and salad
- and dinner is pork, HM stuffing with sausagemeat, steamed potatoes, broccoli, cabbage and carrots
- and munchies will be fruit or yoghurt
well i have it in the kitchen, have looked up the instructions on the web.. and so will be giving it another bash soon... its a bifinett jobbie with 6 little bottles -so i may be coming back for help if i get in a pickle..sure you have hints n tips
... have to track down the thermometer as hubby hijacked it for his beer making until i got him a proper one...so i want it back.. if i can find it
Caterina..hope you had a great time back in Italy..apart from insensitive mother  .... well you are back with us lot now..and we understand..so your self confidence will soon be back..and just imagine the look on your mums face when you go back next time and have slimmed down a little;)
Have to say im lucky enough not to have ever had an eating dissorder as such... a cack relationship with food YES, but never made myself sick etc..thank god.. i can't begin to imagine what it is like to deal with that..so my total respect to those of you who have faced it, or who fight it on a daily basis
hope everyone is having a great day... good luck to anyone weighing in tommorrow...keep up the good work everyone...
hello to anyone not mentione...right im of to get my lunch-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Good morning everyone (yikes it nearly afternoon).
Have done absolutely nothing today yet, been sitting here reading through the very first part of the weight loss thread, its taking me ages, but, I love it.
Have just had a very good laugh at Kittyscarlet calling brussel sprouts "the devils testicles :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: .
Thats another thing I love about this site, you get such a laugh.
Im feeling alot better today. Have had Cornflakes for my breakfast, dont know what Im having for lunch, as yet im not veryhungry, and for dinner, I am making a chicken casserole (the sauce is made from condensed soup, so I can get rid of the tin). We are having jacket spuds with that.
Didnt have anything else to eat last night after my HM lasange, although, I did have a full bottle of wine when I was at my SILs (purely for medicinal purposes you understand).
Oh well I best be off and start the housework. Have a lovely day everyone.
