    Morning all and :easter:

I have already made a pavlova and a tiramisu this morning, but looking out the window I wonder if my guests will make it as they all come from far away:confused:
Oh well, we will see I was doing a big comfort food lunch anyway- bangers mash mushrooms onion gravy cabbage etc luckilly the bangers were fresh from the butchers and can be frozen.
It is lovely outside I may sneak out for a walk in a min:rolleyes:
Hope the kids tidy the house:rotfl:
Have a good one all xxx

I was wondering how many of you are vegetarians? I am mainly veggie as dd (who lived with me) and bf(who doesn't, but we eat together a lot) are both veggies. I no longer buy meat, but have a few things like tinned tuna and one bit of chicken in the freezer to eat. Too frugal to throw them out.

I dont eat meat but I do eat a bit of fish such as fresh salmon, tinned mackerel, tinned tuna, cod. I gave up meat in November last year and eat a lot of quorn instead.

I was hoping to go to a carboot this morning but the weather is carp here:rolleyes:
so will have to do some housework instead! :D will try and get out for some fresh air and exercise later. No easter egg to eat - ate it last night!:D it was a flake one!:EasterBun

    Food plans for today are

B - seeded bread toast and marmalade

    L - not sure yet

D - roast dinner minus the meat with a big yorkshire pudding instead!

snacks - fruit and yoghurt with possibly a hot cross bun thrown in!;)

I hope you all have a lovely Easter Sunday! xxx

    Morning all :D

Happy easter everyone... this house is a choc free zone :j hubby was looking very perplexed in the shop the other day... when i asked why....bless him he was trying to figure out if buying..or NOT buying me an egg was the right thing to do :rotfl: ... he didn't want to buy me an egg, but he didn't like not buying me an egg... so he asked if i would like some strawberry plants instead :T ...so thats what im having... nom nom nom.. i love strawbs...with fresh ground black pepper mmmmmmmmm

We have snow too ... well its now just the remains of snow .....

Looks like warming, comfort food is the order of the day all round :p ... for lunch we are having roast lamb (1st time i have had it since being out here), roasties, yorky puds, cauli, broccoli, carrots n peas...nom nom nom ...after that little lot i can't see me bothering with anything but jelly/yog for dinner

brekkie was jelly with peach in..oh and a nana...

We are hoping for a walk around the golf course in the morning... assuming we aren't snowed in.. we don't mind it being cold as we can wrap up and i would rather be cold than too hot anyway ;) need to burn some of this wobble off :rotfl:

Have made a batch of soup from the veggie odds n ends..so that might be tomorrows lunch with some HM bread...
sliced up the lamb.... left enough for lunch, turned some of what was left into a pie with potatoes, carrots n leeks, and the bit that is left has gone into the fridge and will get blitzed and turned into savoury meat pie.... it wasn't that big a joint..only €5... but too much lamb at once is to heavy n rich so i have stretched it out :D
Think i might get some of my nanas sliced and frozen to shove on my porridge in a morning..got loads whoopsed..and don't want to eat them -just because they are there ;)

Saversarn.... hope your guests turn up...tiramissu and pavlova in the house  ....that sounds like torture... i used to love tiramissu ..haven't had it in ages...

Hope everyone is having a good day... keep up the great work everyone.. oh and hope everyone is also feeling better..we are a bunch aren't we :rotfl:
right im off to look up more recipes :o

    Hi guys

Happy Easter, we're all dieting but I think we are allowed a little... :EasterBun

Unfortunately things aren't good here - I've been up since 6am vomiting and with chronic diarrhoea  . Have had some medication and a really hot cup of tea, starting to feel a lot better.

In terms of food I'll be taking it very easy, body just isn't up to anything else!

B+L - probably nothing but fruit if possible

    D. - dad cooking leg of lamb with trimmings, hopefully will feel ok enough to have a plate, if not some picking at meat will have to do.

Snow is slowing here but it still looks really nice.

Looks like I'll be hitting my target tomorrow, albeit in fluid loss :rotfl:

    Enjoy the day everyone x

Pigpen - you haven't put any weight on though so that's good !!!!!!

No but I will have today!! lol.. and next week I'll gain loads.

Proliant.. smash up the egg and freeze it.. a little bit of frozen chocolate feels like an entire bar!! I'd be more likely to use the philosophy.. scarf it all in one go and deal with the fall out next week.. it won't be that bad then. you won't get in the habit of chocolate eating on a daily basis and it won't be there to dip into.. failing that.. donate it to the local old peoples home.. I'm certain there it will be appreciated..

  • :easter_ba Hello all and Happy Easter!

Tried to post earlier but pc crashed and it disappeared! All seems to be ok now though.

Having a very lazy day here after the decorating and moving furniture the last couple of days.... spare room looks lovely now, won't be embarrassed any more if anyone wants to stay over!

Only had a banana for breakfast, didn't want to spoil the lovely lamb dinner... and absolutely delish it was too! I'm stuffed to the brim now. Really should go for a little walk this afternoon but it's damp and miserable here so feet up with a DVD and maybe a little snooze is looking far more likely:p

No idea what's for tea yet, feel like I'll never need to eat ever again at the moment... but give me a couple of hours!!:p

    See you all later!

    Happy Easter Everyone,

Sounds very cold and snowy over in much of the UK today - brr. It is cooler here but still sunny so if you are out of the wind it is fine. We have been out for Sunday lunch, which was delicious, and were able to sit at a table outside overlooking the marina and all the expensive yachts.

I've continued to jog back from the bins each day (OH thinks I am mad) and even managed to add another flight of stairs to the short trip. I also persuaded OH that we could fit in a walk on the beach before we went out for lunch so have had a reasonable amount of exercise today.

Lunch out was gorgeous. I enjoyed every scrap but made it less sinful by giving all my potatoes to OH and having some of his vegetables in return. We didn't have pudding but have just shared the last KitKat with our coffees when we got back. I shall only require a tiny tea - more like a snack really.

    B: Muesi etc, pineapple juice.
L: Rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce, cauliflower, carrots, tomatoes and garlic.
Snacks; KitKat with milky coffee, Raspberry yoghurt, orange.
