    Hi all, :)

Must confess immediately that I ate way too much turkey yesterday (have total weakness for it :o ) and still feel full this morning. Its a while since I've had the 'food hangover' so I guess that at least means that I'm getting better and this is a blip. Doesn't feel too good, tho and I feel like I never want to see food again. :p

Usually would do my 'food today' bit but I'm really not sure what I'm going to fancy. The plan was HM Botham burgers (J oliver's) later but I think I'll bypass that and go with a ham salad when the tummy has recovered.

Well done to all those that were restrained over the chocolates this year. ;)

Going to get back to my scrapbooking now as I've left all my stuff out from last night. That should occupy my for a good part of the day. Popping to my brother's later as he's invited us for coffee and cake. Ohh the temptation. Still, if my tummy is still feeling yuck it won't be hard to resist. :o
SIL won't touch them anyway as she's been on a permanent diet since the early 80's. :p

Sees you all later....oh and I hope you feel better now Chloe. ;)

Cranky - our posts crossed but we're all here for the 'off days'....well any day actually. You'll be fine with us. ;)

    Morning! where is everyone?

I hope you all had a good easter Sunday and enjoyed some guiklt free chocolate! I did!:D

Good luck to those weighing in today!

esthomizzy welcome to our lovely thread!:hello:

    I've had
mini weetabix (small bowl) and a tiny slice of seeded bread toast for breakfast. Havent got any food plans for the rest of the day yet but I aim to get back on track as its weigh in on Wednesday evening. Its very hard maintaining - you think all the hard work is in losing it but I reckon its keeping it off thats the hard bit! But to help I've given away all my big clothes so I have to keep slim or I've got nothing to wear!:D

Hope the Frog is ok - missing her sense of humour!

Have a great day all! x

    Hiya Taplady :)

You've been doing a great job of maintaining. When I read your posts it shows that you've adopted a very healthy relationship with food. ie..you've not banned all the fun stuff but you eat the good most of the time.
Bet you're OH is really proud of you. ;)

    AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE   £115.93/ £250

  • Morning everyone!

Just been on the scales and.... 2lb off, woohoooo!! I'm so pleased with that, and it's given me my goal for the May bank hols challenge. Don't think I've actually posted my weight on here - I was 9 stone 12 when I found you lovely lot, lost 5 pounds so far so 9 stone 7 this morning, and I'm going to aim for 9 stone by bank hols... 6 weeks so a pound and a bit a week - very do-able, in theory!! Should also say that I'm only 5 foot and a smidge (very important smidge!) so if I can eventually get to the 8 and a half stone mark I'll be a very happy bunny!

    Anyway, on to today's menu....

    B - porridge in a min

L - leek and potato soup with a small roll

D - ham salad with jacket spud

Snacks - hot cross bun (just one, thawing out at this moment!), grapes, maybe a banana or yog.

Good luck to everyone else weighing in today!

Hi all, dispite the snow all my guests arrived yesterday and a great time was had, my comfort food menu was quite a hit, two had just arrived back from Mauritus (where they wed) and were really pleased as their 5* banquets got tedious ;)
    Anyway I think I was ok-ish for Easter:rolleyes:
I've just waved of my last guests so today is put your feet up, chick flick and eat plainly (finishing up the odd chocolates) day. Back to business tomorrow:p
Have a good day y'all and well done droopydrawers:T

WI and I've lost nothing again - then again my eating habits have returned to normal so I'm not surprised.:o

Popped to the Naffi with hubby earlier and got some bargains so im happy... they are all for the April grocery challenge... more pennies saved :T

    Got :-
    1. 3 x 750g bags of sweet potatoes...I love them sliced n baked in the oven mmmmm
    2. 5 packs of those half asparagus and half baby corns to blanch n freeze
    3. 500g mixed peppers
    4. 4 huge fresh southern coated chicken breasts.. so big that 1 baked and sliced will do 2 of us- shoved into tortillas with salad n tzatziki ;)
Cost me €6 and it should have been €24.86  ..so im hap hap happy

Had 2 slices of toast mid morning..sort of brekkie/lunch ..... dinner tonight is jacket with cottage cheese n salad nom nom nom

Need to get a new pair of kitchen scales ..my didgital ones died over the weekend... which stopped me from having a bash at making dead fly biccies... so it could be seen as a good thing i guess :rotfl: ... hoping to pick up a new pair this week... feel lost without them :o

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Have reached a bit of a plateau just now, and haven't really been putting too much effort in either. However, 1lb to go before the llbs are in single figures - which should be easily achieveable by next w/e I'd have thought?
By the May Bank Holiday I'd like to be a further 9lbs lighter - ie down to thenext stone! Pity about that simnel cake I baked this w/e..... I may be good and send at least half of it home with DS and family when they leave...or not!!!
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

thanks cheerfulness!:T you're right I do eat healthily with my meals, its the in between meals that I find hard!:D I also take some vitamins etc - garlic, codliver oil, multivitamins with added iron as DH said I looked pale since giving up meat. He is very proud of my achievements but we disagree about clothes as he wants me to show it off a bit more and I'm not too keen!:D

Today I have eaten the last hot cross bun mid morning after getting all cold at the car boot. For lunch I had a Tuna jacket spud with salad.
I need some inspiration for tea, will have a look in the freezer to see what we've got. I have menu planned from tomorrow onwards.

doopy dawers - well done on the weight loss!:T

Very pleased although we are having a Chinese tonight! Only consolation was that I ate barely anything yesterday due to sickness, feeling much better now.
