Happy Easter everyone! Idecided that today I woulda llow myself a little bit of chocolate and a couple of roast potatoes with my lunch, which I did, and as a result I haven't really overeaten at all, although I haven't had a strict "diet" day.
Breakfast - a dry hot cross bun
lunch - roast lamb, roast potatoes, carrot and swede, green beans, red cabbage, cauliflower and gravy, followed by a merringue nest with fresh fruit salad and a squirt of low fat whippy cream (others had a raspberry mascaropone chocolate thingie but I resisted)
Dinner - two slices of bread sandwich with prawns and lettuce, half a toasted hot cross bun and another merringue nest (just dry this time)
At around 4pm I had my allowed chocolate fix of four milk tray chocs, 6 percy pigs and about 10 chocolate raisins.
hopefully I won't have anything else to eat tonight and can get right back on track tomorrow and still lose weight next Saturday.
Have a good evening everyone.Jane

Fab thread everyone. I'm dying to try out some of the recipes. After being really fit last year I've kind of fallen off the exercise wagon this year and consequently my weight has crept up a bit. I'm about 5 kilos over what I'd like to be right now but it seems to be going up at about a kilo a month so I need to get on top of it now.
I'm going to start by having only fruit in the house as snacks. I'm going to try and do 500 cals worth of exercise every day but definitely 300 if 500 proves too much on some days. I really need to get my motivation for exercise back fast. I've signed up for a royal parks half marathon in Oct in the anticipation that the fear will get me back running but it's not working so far. I struggled on my run today and walked quite a lot. It's not because I was knackered either I just couldn't be bothered to carry on making myself continue running. I don't think I could never eat anything after 5 though. I'd be starving all evening and I don't leave work until 5.30 so realistically I could only eat my final meal at 6.30 but I'd never eat with my boyfriend then as he doesn't leave work until 7.30.
Good luck everyoneMFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0 -
Just reporting in to say that despite the lamb and a couple of roasties, I have been surprisingly good today.... although that was mainly down to the fact that I fell asleep for a couple of hours this afternoon so couldn't eat! Got a bit peckish around 6 so had a small ham and tomato roll, and a cream egg for pud - and that's it!
I'll be back tomorrow with the results of the weigh in - fingers crossed after last week's non event!0 -

Happy Easter everyone! :easter:
Well we all got back from my sis's at 10 tonight, and proceeded to munch all our Easter eggs! We don't give each other ones, but my sister always gives the boys and DH one...she gave me one too this year...aargh! It is all gone now so I can start tomorrow with a clean slate, and ppretend it didn't happen!:EasterBun!
We had a picnic lunch (indoors!!) today at my sis's...all pretty good calorie-wise...but so much of it! Then it was hot dogs for tea with onions, mmmmmm...and then choccie eggs for supper...oh well tomorrow is a new day!
DS1 is talking about going swimming regularly, so I plan on checking out our local pool's early birds session this week (6:30 to 9 am). If it looks good, me and DS1 might try and go swimming twice a week at 6:30am...wonder how long this will last!! I used to do it years ago...when I had lots more energy...perhaps I can find some again!
Now off to bed...had too many late nights recently...need the kip!
Have a good Easter Monday

Good morning,
Well a bit of over eating last night as I was bored and a bit stressed. I had half a creme egg and half a packet of cheese and onion crisps that weren't in the plan for the day. They didn't taste right though.
I was talking it through with dh and have decided to give up going to slimming classes until he is home again and I can go in the evenings. At the moment I am trying to go one morning a week while MIL minds ds (aged 3). The two hours that ds is minded are the only chance I have to go to the post office, do batch cooking without a small child saying "mummy" every two minutes etc, so I don't like giving them up to go to slimming class.
I will continue with the diet plan until dh comes home from sea when I can go back to the evening claases, which are much more fun anyway. In the meantime, you will need to be the sounding board for my struggles if you will be so kind:rotfl:
Todays menu is
B : crumpet with jam (no butter)
L : banana and honey on HM wholemeal roll (no butter)
D : grilled quorn sausage, poached egg, mushrooms done in frylight and baked beans with a slice of toast (no butter)
snacks today are an apple and some caramel snackajacks.0
