I really must join this. I have just booked a holiday in Majorca for July. Live on a tight food budget and find most diet advice from clubs, magazines etc just doesn't fit in with my budget. Also doing a store cupboard challenge just now. I won a weekly veggie box delivery which runs to May. I am hoping to combine the challenge and the veggie box into a budget diet :D

    Hi there,

Anyway, still feeling positive. Wednesday and Thursday I was really really
Every now and then ive been getting a wee bit down about things (especially about all this stuff with the banks, DH's business account is with HBOS, im a bit worried), but, then again, I worry about everything. If Im not worried about something, I worry why im not worried about something:confused: .

    Hi Jackie,

dont upset yourself too much, all the news is saying that its a rumour about hbos circulated by some people trying to make money. im sure it'll be fine. :D

  • Hello all!

:T :T :T Mrs M, Rose and Mrs C:T :T :T (and any more losers I've accidentally missed!) and welcome to the newbies!

Nice to hear everyone sounding very positive on this Good Friday - keep it up ladies, we can do it!

I've been up and down my step ladder like a yo yo today.... legs are seizing up and arms are dropping off from all the roller action but I'm looking at the pain as a good sign that I might have firmed a bit of wobble up! Anyway, the painting is finished now and looks nice and fresh, just got to put everything back but that can wait until tomorrow...if I haven't seized up completely by then!

No time for picking today so had...

    B - yoghurt and banana

L - pitta with salad and bacon (one rasher), hot cross bun (by the way, had the brainwave of sticking the rest of the packet in the freezer last night - much safer in there!)

Got some chilli out of the freezer for tonight so will be having that when I've had a long hot soak in the bath to sooth my poor old weary body. and get rid of the paint which I seem to be covered in!

    See you all later!

Well I had my treat day today and stuffed my face at Chiquitos restaurant at the Metrocenter, steak, chips, onion rings etc and ice cream on waffles, yum yum, however I feel like s**t now, so tomorrow morning I am off out on my bike to burn up all of that lush food, never mind, lets just hope I haven’t undone what I have achieved so far.

    Hi guys

just a quickie from me tonight as am very busy! Thank you all so much for your kind wishes of good luck for my OH and his job. Sadly, he phoned up and the job was carp, but on a brighter note I applied for another one for him through an agency and they want him to come in on friday.

Mixed week for me so far, have done lots of overtime so excercise level has dropped. Will be walking like a loony for next 2 days to get a lb or 2 off for monday weigh in.

    Food today:

    B. - apple

    L. - apple and mullerlite

    D. - HM fish pie, broccoli & carrots. Mullerlite

    Snacks - keep eating toblerone!!!!

I'm am going to aim for a stone off by may BH, quite ambitious but I work better with a bit of pressure on myself.

    evening everyone!

welcome to Prudent! the veg box win is great!:T lucky you!

I have to admit to slacking in the HM department lately - never seem to have the time or energy but I must get back on track. Tomorrow we are having HM quorn chilli - am going to try my DS2(15) with it for the first time.
I walked into town this morning but didn't get my evening walk as DH was feeling poorly and it also poured down but tomorrow I am helping him with his milk round again so should make up for todays lack of exercise, although I am not getting up at 3am like he does, I'll join him later on at 8am ish:D

MRSM - my DH has some seeds upstairs in DS1s room, they are shooting up. I think its peas and cauliflower but I could be wrong. We are also planning cherry tomatoes, butternut squash, runner beans, salad leaves, sprouts, spuds and anything else he fancies! we do buy some of them as small plants from the carboots as we only have a tiny greenhouse. We a huge garden and he rotivated it last week and dug some compost in ready for planting. Shame about your allotment.

off for a quick browse now before bed! TTFN x
    Do what you love :happyhear
