Afternoon all
Woohoo frogga  ......Nice to see you back and well done on the loss Mrs :T :T :T
Just a quick one from me...as i have a knackered back -its been building up all week  when i weighed 21st never had back ache... lose weight and NOW i get ruddy back ache  - think i have trapped a nerve as its a really sore pain right across my lower back and my left leg is giving me grief.... doesn't bode well for tomorrows weigh in as i have sat on my bum nearly all week..but hey ho.... once im up n shifting im ok.. but getting of my behind and getting moving is quite entertaining
Hubby nipped me to the Naffi earlier where i managed to get 12litres of whole fresh milk for €2 :j so i have decanted that into smaller bottles and shoved it in the freezer which will take me through April and into may -as i dilute it down to semi(looking like i can get away with spending no more than €15 a week on fresh salad, fruit, veg, yogs etc on next months grocery challenge) and 2 huge bunches of nanas for €2.. and then hubby treated me to the Good food magazine ....so im happy
Meals today:-- brekkie - yoghurt
- lunch - leftover pasta n meatballs from last night and some grapes
- dinner ...have just taken a new crusty loaf out of the oven -so will have 2 thin slices with butter with a salad and organic feta nomnomnom:rotfl:
Have a good evening everyone..and fingers crossed for those weighing in tomorrow-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
FROGGA !!!!!!! GREAT TO HAVE YOU BACK!:j :j :j :j :j
Congratulations on the job:T and well done on the weight loss!:A :T
Its not the same here without you so I hope you get the PC sorted ASAP!
MRSM - sounds a bit like sciatica, hope it soon feels better xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Well - I got back from the US and weighed this morning - not as bad as I'd thought- 10st 8lbs:rolleyes:
Woudl like to lose 10lbs - 1st by my holiday in mid June but 8lbs to take me to 10st would be an acceptable start I think.
Am going out tonight and tomorrow night (both prearranged boozy nights) so will start the campaign on the weekend properly - I'm eating properly and not eating rubbish but obviously alcohol will take its toll.
Best get on with some work now (just 15 mins to go!)0 -
It does sound like sciatica, I thought that too. My SIL has started with it a couple of years back when she was 37 and its bothering her at the mo.
Hope you soon feel more comfy MRSMC.
Just had a very disappointing tea.Mum gave me a couple of gammon steaks ....was suspicious of the 'preformed meat' bit and low price... rightly so as it turned out. If that was meat I don't know from what animal, Rhino? It was awful so I stopped after 2 mouthfuls. Yuk.:p I ate my peas and egg but not happy now.
Still, I may just treat myself to an iced finger bun for supper now. I've just got the buns out the oven and they smell lovely and spicy. Just got to ice them in a bitty when they're cool.
Off out in an hour or so to friends with the lads so I hope everyone has a good evening and I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about with the weigh in tomorrow MRSMC... and lets hope I haven't for Saturday. So would like to make this challenge.
Sees you all tomorrow.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

hello all!
i havent had chance to catch up on all the posts but wanted to say HI
i had the op on my hand and it was awful. whether it was because my hand was so sore to begin with i dont know but its in agony now, im never having local anaesthetic again as i felt everything and dont think i will be going back to that hosp as they were v unhelpful after also
on plus side im that wiped after it and having to eat with left hand so i end up too tired after a few mins to eat much so am constantly hungry!!! :rotfl:

Big big thanks to Niddy, sorely missed from these boards..best cybersupport ever!!0 -
Hi - and well done Frogga on the amazing 15lb loss and welcome back! Well done on the new job too.
Pebbles - sorry the hand is so painful - I honestly didn't feel a thing when I had a local anaesthetic, but then the operation wasn't on my hand so that is probably different. Sorry the staff weren't nice either - that must have made it worse.
Mrs M - another vote for sciatica from me too. It can be really painful and difficult to get comfortable when sitting down too - hope you get it sorted soon - might need a visit to the doctor if it doesn't settle on its own.
Just waiting for my dinner to cook - am having pork steaks from Costco (can't wait) with brocolli.
:hello: to everyone else - hope you have a good evening.Jane

YAY!!!! The Frog has returned (temporarily) ! Well done on the loss, that's fantastic:T :T :T and on the job - glad things are going your way at last :happyhear
Not toooooo bad a day, made a pan of carrot and coriander soup this morning which I was VERY grateful for when I arrived back from the shops looking like a drowned rat  I had it with some of OH's HM multiseed bread - YUM.
I've had a banana and 2 LF yoghurts this afternoon, then mushrooms stuffed with couscous and feta with garlic potatoes for tea with banana and a bit of custard for pud, still got a huge banana glut though
Managed to get the box stripped and sealed but my god does that sealer stink  I've got onions all over the kitchen trying to get rid of the smell!
I cleaned the rest of the house and played nicely with my steamer, cleaned my vinyl floors and freshened the carpets so quite a busy day:T
Cheerfulness - I wish veggie sausages had been around when I was growing up, I've not eaten meat since I was about 3 (the texture makes me heave) and I lived on cheese/egg sandwiches and mash and veg when I was a kid, Mum had no idea what to cook for me ! There's loads of choice these days!
Right, off to trawl tinternet for banana recipes, See you tomorrow folks :A another early start :rolleyes:0 -
Evening all,
Lovely to see you back Frogga ( even if you did forget me!!) and huge congratulations on the great loss...we have missed you. Well done on the new job too, you must do a mean interview!
Mrs MC...sorry to hear that you are suffering with your back, whatever the diagnosis...I had problems for years and eventually had it fixed by a spinologist...no medical training (I know I know!) but trained to re-align back...I swear by him and send everyone I know who has a back problem to him....do you fancy a trip to Wicklow Mrs MC???
Breakfast...porridge, banana, honey, milk, small roll with hm strawberry jam, coffee
Dinner.....spaghetti bolognese ( large portion) with bread
Have promised myself a cream cake in spite of weigh in to-morrow
See you all to-morrow
