The story of my demise has been greatly exagerated
Actually it was a complete fib that my PC was being fixed I just wanted to test you all to see how much you would miss me ~ and you all passed, so well done :T
The PC was given back in the week but Mr Frog is still not happy with it, if anything he says it's worse  It's going back to the dark and distant world of his brothers bedroom tomorrow so make the most of me for 1 day only
MrsM ~ all me email addresses have been deleted too so I couldn't even email you yesterday  Hope you're ok
Hope you have all been being good and doing well. I have news on that little issue too ~ I've been very good ~ in fact so good that 15lb more has dissappeared since I last posted. Clever frog
Some other very good news is on the job front. I had an interview yesterday for a "Learning Mentor" post at a local struggling high school. I felt the interview went well but at the end I explained that I couldn't start until Sept when Tadpole 2 started High School. I just WONT ask someone else to take him and pick him up from school. He's my Tadpole and It's my responsibility. They wanted someone to start after Easter , so I thought I had blown it. They phoned this morning to say that I was so wonderful (;) ) they would be prepared to wait for me. I'm SO chuffed you wont believe :j Feels like everything is working out
Been thinking of you all ~ Tappy, RS, Jackie, Saversarn, cheerfullness, rockie, ampersand, piggy, toni, mhe, ME,droopydrawers and MrsM :hello: and anyone else I acidentally forgot to mention
As I said I will be having to give back the pc again so this will be a one off for a while, will try to catch up on some of the posts, but I think I'd have to stay up ALL NIGHT
Got to go and get Tadpole 2 from school so hopping off, great to be back , albeit briefly ...................................Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hello all! First day of my Easter break today and I'm already exhausted.... got up at 6.30 and decided to get the cleaning out of the way, then I went shopping - all good healthy stuff, apart from a packet of hot cross buns which I really wish I hadn't bought because I've just had one and verrrry nice it was too.... and I want another one now!!! Spare bedroom furniture is piled in a heap in the middle of the room ready to start the painting tomorrow - just the walls, don't like glossing and have decided the woodwork will be fine after a bit of a wipe down!
Food today...
B - porridge
L - pitta stuffed with lettuce, tomato and one piece of bacon, hot cross bun
D - hoping to have pasta with tomato and mascarpone sauce - hoping I'm not going to have the other 5 hot cross buns.... why on earth did I buy the damn things!!!!!
Off to deliver Easter eggs to friend's little uns now, then at least that temptation will be out of the way!
Good luck to everyone for the big GF weigh in tomorrow!0 -
Woohooooooo Frogga, that's fantastic!!!!!!:T0

Hi All,
Well done Frogga on the weight loss and good to see you back, even if temporarily. Well done all the other losers too.
I went for a weigh in in Morrisons this afternoon when we went into Gibraltar but they still hadn't replaced their weighing machine so I bit the bullet and bought some new scales. Sadly, they are in kilograms so not as easy to work out my weight loss but at least I can revert back to getting weighed first thing straight from the bath, which should make the total a bit less the first time I do it.
I also treated myself to some kitchen scales as I am getting fed up of estimating how much things weigh when I am trying to calculate the calories content so am all set for a much improved weight loss from now on (fingers crossed).
We are having a lot of rain with the occasional spectacular thunderstorm at the moment but we managed to get our walk through Gibraltar between downpours. OH was not pleased to find the library had shut at noon today for the Bank Holiday weekend after carrying my books all the way there (and back again). Fortunately a friend lent me several books the other day so I should last out if I am careful before it opens again.
I have been managing to stick to around 1400 calories per day so far (estimated) so am keen to see how much I weigh tomorrow morning. I think it is at least a l lb loss so something is working.
B: Muesli etc, pineapple juice
L: 3 chicken thighs. I usually have one leg on shopping days but they had sold out so decided to go for 2 thighs instead but shop assistant pointed out it was 3 for the price of 2 so succumbed. However, we have decided in future rather than our normal chicken leg each we will get 3 thighs between us (rather than each as we did today) and I will have one and OH two. That way I save calories and we both save money. I also bought a Coke but after opening it found it was cherry flavoured (yuk). I did without and waited till we got home and had a coffee instead. Not sure yet will have to look in the freezer but if all else fails HM carrot soup and freshly baked bread.
Hope you all have a good weigh in tomorrow those who are following the GF challenge.

frogga!! welcome back green one. a big  on the weight loss. i think i've only lost 1 or 2 lb since you went.....:o must get focused....!
supposed to be at work but DS honked up his lunch so couldn't go nursery. poor little soul is laid up on sofa with his blankie watching wallace & gromit!
i've ended up going thru my 30+ cookbooks  marking out with post-its the recipes i like - between OH and me we are a bit picky, DS would eat anything, which is odd really. any with less than 10 recipes i like the sound of are going on ebay - once i've typed up the recipes i do like from them!!! then i intend to work my way thru the others with less than 15-20 trying things out and only typing out the good ones. Eventually I'll have a nice homemade recipe folder, or at least thats the plan
i think a few i will just keep the books as there are SO many nice things in them - nigella express, the ultimate recipe book and jo pratt's in the mood for food are my faves.
anyone got any recommendations of ones i can get next....?! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: i think OH will actually bury me under the patio if i buy more. way i figure at least time spent lookign at food is not time spent EATING it! lol
well i totally failed the GF challenge, now on to the may bank holiday. i currently weigh 13st 1.5 lbs so i should be 12st 8.5 if i manage my target!
anyway i have recipes to type up!
see you ladies (and gents) later.
