Afternoon all
Happy St Patrick's Day!
Had some dried dates, prunes and cranberries for breakfast and have had a bowl of soup since and a mandarin orange which was very sour. Dinner is home made pizza dough is just proving and toppings are ready
Lovely day here to-day...you'd think that it was Spring! Have eventually got the tomatoes, early peas and beans in and have done a little tidying of square foot garden...shallots, beetroot, carrots and various salad stuffs there, but have cleared out the overgrown stuff, there is also salad stuff in greenhouse and a little purple sprouting broccoli outside...OH sowed lots of stuff last month and it seems to be doing ok inside, more scallions need sowing soon I think although couldn't attempt half of the stuff you have in MrsMC...way too soon here. Garden is a bit of a dilemma this year as we will be away for all of June and some of both May and July too, DD4 is good but not sure how good she would be at putting stuff out and looking after it...must put thinking cap on as I do not want to have to be as late as July sowing stuff.
Congratulations to losers and commiserations to the rest of us!

Right.. I have decided..
a. I need the routine/regime/organisation of logging .. so I have revived my WW online thing.. it helps me.. if you want to kick me out feel free.. but it is purely for weight logging purposes.. lame I know.
b. I AM going to try harder..
C. .. seeing as someone scoffed the pork for my casserole we are having savoury mince and mash and veggies!.. no tomatoes or pasta in sight!
and.. single vodka and lemonade is 5 WW points.. ho hum.. guess I won't be eating on a weekend then! lol Worked out for genuine interest rather than because I am 'bothered' .. Maybe I should become teetotal for a few weeks .. I drank about 15 of them at the weekend!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi All,
Congratulations on your weight loss Chloebelle, and hope you are feeling better soon Rockie. Wow, Saversarn, 16,000 steps is impressive. I love going for walks but have to do a bit of persuading of OH sometimes to go out. At home in the UK I go out on my own but he is reluctant to let me out on my own over here - he's very protective. Like you Pigpen, I am no good at running but can walk and walk. Hi to everyone else that I haven't mentioned.
I had an early start. I woke up at 5.30 and couldn't go back to sleep so got up and wrote my article. Got that emailed by 7.30 so made a coffee and went back to bed for a cuddle - no smooching Cheerfulness though!). We both fell back asleep and didn't wake up again till 11!!
We are just about to go for a walk on the beach. Just the basic short one today as OH has a bit of backache so doesn't feel like going too far.

Can I come to Tea sounds lovely
If you like, but you may need to bring an extra bit of salmon
It was a recipe torn out of a mag (may have been a Tesco one). Will try and post it up tomorrow if it's nice - or rather if it's easy and niceworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

It's really easy to make stock. Just put the carcass (bones and all but not skin) into a big saucepan and add an onion (peeled but still whole, a couple of carrots (again peeled but not chopped) a couple sticks of celery if you have them (not essential) and some salt and pepper and a good pinch of mixed herbs and bring to the boil. Simmer for about three hours and then strain into a big bowl. Pick the meat off of the carcass (you'd be amazed how much you get and if we weren't all on diets I'd say have it still hot on crusty buttered bread but instead just put it to one side to either put back into the stock with some chopped veg to make soup or use cold on salads etc. Let the stock go cold and skim off any fat and that's it!Jane

Hi pebbles, you can make stock out of any old nonsense really. I whang bay leaves, whole peppercorns, celery, carrots, onions into mine - I dont even bother peeling the veg, I just break them up and throw them in. Also when you bring it up to the boil there will be scum or froth on the surface, try and skim as much of this off as you can (keep it at a low simmer) and it will help keep your stock nice and clear.Comps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Why not have the vodka with diet tonic or diet lemonade? One shot of vodka is only 1WW point it's what you mix it with that bumps up the points!
So far today I've had porridge with raisins and a bit of honey. A mini jacket spud with hummus and salad, a slice of dry bread, 2 LF yoghurts, a sweetcorn and spinach crispbake with a jacket spud, leeks and carrot.
Still feel like death warmed up, I'm starting to think it's a sinus infection.....of to try inhaling with steam and OLbas oil.....
Well done the losers!0 -
Hi,
Well I havent posted on this thread for a good few days, because, I havent been watching what Ive been eating, so, I was a bit embarrassed.
I actually want going to post back on here, but, I thought, well, I'll go back on and face the music.
Infact, if im really really honest with you all, ive been really really bad, worse than Ive ever been before, in like, one day I eat 16 biscuits:eek:  , and I havd nothing else that day but the biscuits. Im actually thinking ive got a serious problem with eating, if its not serious now, then its going to get to be a problem, and I dont mean like just overeating, its like Im binging, you know, and then I get that feeling "I could just make myself sick" BUT i havent made myself sick, and I wont do it, done it before, wont do it again, but, I DO think about it IYSWIM.
I want to eat good food, im just too bloody lazy yes thats the problem, too lazy. Im a member of the gym, but, cant go very often before of DH's work, so never know when hes going to be in, (They dont have a creche, and I dont like asking my Mum to watch DS cos she watches him when I work). I would love to go walking, but, DS is at the stage when he doesnt want to go in the buggy.
Every day, I keep saying right I will do well today, but, it only last until half way through the morning, then, I binge on chocolate and crisps.
Alot of you will be saying "well its your own fault, what are you coming on here for, youve said all this before", and you would be right in saying that.
I just want to be healthy, and I know Im not, and I really dont know what to do.
