    Hi guys

:grouphug: to all who need it, especially you Queenpig

I'm a bit shocked by how close Good Friday is  , will still go for it though as I've got 3lb to go :D . Ultimately any loss is fantastic so lets all really go for it!

Have been for my walk :A and food today is:

    B. - 1 x shredded wheat and semi skimmed

    L. - couple of fishcakes, mushroom, bacon and a poached egg on toast.

    D. - beef stew (ist attempt at making this  )

    Snacks - fruit and yoghurts

Am a bit nervous about making this stew, according to what I've read its a case of chucking it all in a pot and cooking for as long as possible. Will give it a try, if it fails then maybe it'll be pasta instead :rotfl: .

Wish me luck guys and have a good day all.

My mother had 2 operations to repair cartilege in her knee while awake.. and I had 3 sections while awake.. definitely not be having any procedures done while asleep again.. apart from the 3 teeth I have that need to come out!! There is no way on this planet I could sit there and have someone rag my teeth out..

    HI everyone,

Not posted on this thread for a wee while now, and Im afraid ive let things slip.......Again. Oh well, really feeling it this morning though, put on a paid of denims I havent had on for a few weeks, and they are tight, I have a muffin top    nasty.
Anyway, all my own fault, so, need to knuckle down, and get back onto the good eating habits so I can look good lying on a beach in Benamaldina (sp).

Breakfast today was Musli with Semi skimmed milk and a cup of tea

Lunch was HM bread with a slice of breaded ham, and a large cup of coffee.

Dinner is HM chicken & Spiniach lasange (well thats the plan anyway).

Going to do lots of baking tonight, but, I dont need to worry about temptation there cos, I never want to eat what I cook  .

Hope everyone is doing well, I just havent had time to catch up on everyones posts, It will probably be weekend before I can do that.

    Hi All,

Just got back from our weekly trip to Gibraltar but no weigh in!! Went to the scales in Morrisons only to find they weren't there! The store is being refurbished and a new pharmacy section opened - but no scales. I did ask and was told they were waiting for some new ones. Lets hope they are quick with them as they are not noted for rushing stuff. So I've no idea whether I've lost (or gained) anything.

We had our normal quick walk up to the library and back so had some exercise though not as much as a beach walk would be. Ideally we would now go for our beach walk as well but I doubt I could persuade OH into that.

    B: Muesli etc. Pineapple juice
    L: Chicken leg. Banana
D: Tagliatelle with mushrooms, garlic and a smidgeon of cheese. Orange

Hi There, Im afraid the recipe isnt my own, so, cant claim credit for that.

350g/12 frozen chopped spinach thawed & drained
    1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
450g/1lb lean cooked chicken, skinned & diced
    4 sheets pre cooked lasange
    1.5 tbsp cornflour
    425ml/15floz skimmed milk
    70g/2.5oz freshly grated parmasan cheese
    salt & pepper

    TOMATO SAUCE

    400g/14oz canned chopped tomatoes
    1 onion finely chopped
    1 garlic clove crushed
150ml/5fl oz white wine (im not using this, just going to use water)
    3tbsp tomato puree
    1tsp dried oregano
    salt & pepper

To make tomato sauce, place the tomatoes in a saucepan and stir in the onion, garlic wine/water, tomato puree and oregano. Bring to the boil and simmer for 20 mins stirring occasionally until thick. Season well .

Drain the spinach again and spread it onto kitchen paper making sure as much water has been removed as possible. Put spinach onto the base of an oven proof dish. Sprinkle with nutmeg & season.

Arrange the chicken over the spinach and spoon over the tomato sauce. Arrange the sheets of the lasagne over the sauce.

Blend the cornflour with a little of the milk to make a paste. Pour the remaining milk into a saucepan and stir in the cornflour paste. Heat for 2-3 mins and sauce thickens.

Pour the sauce over the lasange. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the sauce, and bake in a pre-heated over 200C/400F/GM6 for 25 mins until golden.

Ive never had this before, but, I love lasange, so, Im assuming i will love this.

    Jackie xx
