    Morning all :D

2.5lbs gone this week :p which im chuffed to little mint balls about.. being on my own all week would normaly be a disaster (and this is the 1st time hubby ha been away whilst i have been losing weight this time),,.... So i have 1.5lb to shift for the Good Friday challenge ;)
im now 15st 8.5lbs :shhh: .... and the top of my healthy weight range is 10st10 so thats my main target so i have just 4st 12.5lbs to see off -Once im no longer considered over weight  i will have a look at if i want to lose any more.... 4st 12.5 really doesn't seem that much of a task :j -never thought i would say that
Hope everyone else weighn in has good results today ..will keep my fingers crossed:D

Recovering Spendaholic.... i have been overweight -in varying degrees since i was 14... 21 years  so the dietician is talking twaddle.. guess they would have had me down for an op too. My older sis has recently lost lots of weight after years of being over weight too-so she should have been on the list too  ...... I thought her job was to encourage and make sure you have all the information you needed to make sensible healthy choices.. not to demoralise and write folks off...ooohhhh I'm angry on your behalf  . There is no wonder you came out of there and went in search of food... lets be honest.. they basically gave you the message that "you won't lose weight on your own, only with medical intervention -so why bother trying?" so why would you come out of there thinking "YES... i can do this" and feeling motivated.... so don't feel upset with yourself - the medical services are to blame for making you feel so awful and no doubt helpless....
Write yesterday off, and start a fresh -you were doing so well. If you decide that the surgery is the answer, then that is fine..but it should be your choice.. not being made to feel as though it is your only chance....
Hope you are feeling happier this morning...:D
Froggas PC is probably still being mended...very quiet without her though isn't it ..... hopefuly she will be back soon :T

    Meals today :-
    1. brekkie- cherry jelly with 1/2 a yoghurt -not really hungry
    2. lunch - a turkey staek with the last of the latest batch of coleslaw
    3. dinner -hm savoury meat pie with broccoli, cauli, peas,
    4. snackies.. jelly, fruit, yoghurts
Hubby is home today :j .....heck he has only been gone 5 days,,god knows how i coped when he was in the gulf for months  ... Just count my blessings that he is extremely unlikely to get sent there again..or Afghanistan - thank god..... so 5 days is nothing to moan about really... Its a good job i used to live on my own and like my own company anyway :p . But he will be home tonight which means i will be :D all day..

    Toniwoty-I don't see why you can't freeze houmus..mind i freeze everything
I love houmus... bet it would be nice mixed through potato ...

Rosewood.. hopefully by the time they get some scales -you will get a nice surprise... have to admit though that i wouldn't cope very well without scales :o .. mine fell off the stool whilst i was mopping the floor and i thought i had broken them  luckily the front cover just clipped back on ..phewwww

Chloebelle - hope the stew came out nice.. bet it did and you have surprised yourself again ;) you are getting into this cooking malarky aren't you :D

Right i had better get off and get my brekkie and a cuppa ;)
Have a great day everyone.. and keep up the good work.... we are getting there :D

Recovering - I bet you don't know which way to turn with those doctors, do you? Just when you're beginning to get some confidence in yourself they tell you you can't do it ...then you're away to Macs (our old pal in times of stress) to grab a bit of comfort.
Don't know why you're ashamed, tho. You only ate a bit of food to cope with the stress.. you didn't get high, or drunk or take it out on other people or get engrossed in work and neglect the other people in your life to cope with it... you just ate some food!
Anyway, that was yesterday and yesterday is history... tis past. This lovely lot on here believe you can do it and we'll stick with you through it if you stick with us. ;)

I'm having a bit of a rocky week myself. I'm so up and down. Don't really think that I've overeaten but I've got that distinct feeling that the scales will go up this week.
Not sure if its because I reached the 20st mark last week and its like I'm on the brink of something new and unknown. I've spent the best part of the last 20 years being 20 st+ and its what I know.
Last night my friends started noticing my weight loss and I felt really uncomfortable with the attention. :o Isn't this weight loss thing complicated? I thought I'd be wanting everyone to notice but I'm finding it embarrassing. I almost feel like it puts more pressure on me in a sort of twisted way. Bahhh.... don't know what goes on in my head.

Nevermind, while mentally I've a bit of sorting out to do, physically I'm really beginning to feel good! :j My knees are definitely starting to improve and I'm not limping hardly at all now, only sometimes. I even had a wee walk with a friend on Tuesday, just a short one, but didn't have my stick and I did just fine. :T And my knees didn't feel like they'd been hammered like last time. ;)

    Food today:
    Weetabix
Vegetable spring rolls with singapore noodles and steamed veg
Not sure about my tea but want something special. (Thinking cap on)

Oh MRSMC - you asked what I was looking for lunchwise. I suppose I want the earth really. I want something cheap and cheerful but different, probably using stuff like leftover ham or chicken, eggs or cheese. I love sandwiches but I think I need to know how to flavour them better.
When I split a sandwich once in Starbucks (before my MSE days) we had a chicken sandwich but the flavouring was lovely.. spicy and cooked peppers I think. Its that type of thing I need, ways of making ordinary ingredients a bit special with flavourings. I'm useless at it.
Oh and wraps, I want to use those more but at the moment I'm only filling them with coronation chicken and tuna and mayo salad.
I just need some cheapy recipes and I don't mind collecting the spices and things to make them more interesting. Oh and I've just received a pannini. Always wanted one and it says not to butter the bread so will be lower in fat. Want to think up some nice sarnie ideas for that, too.

Right I've prattled on way too much so I'll post this and sit back and read how you're all doing today.

    Take care everyone. ;)

Oh our posts crossed MrsMc - Fabulous loss again..look at those numbers falling. :j :j :j Glad OH's home for you tonight. I lived alone for 5 years but I still hate it when mine has to work away now. Miss him awful when he does.

    Just a quick one...

We were typing at the same time cheerfulness :D
I used to adore Panninis  Starbucks... roated peppers n mozarella mmmmm:rotfl:mind thats easy enough to do.... whack peppers in the oven to blister, shove in a plastic bag and leave to steam then the skin will come of easily... slice and put on the pannini/ tortillaetc.. a squidge of balsamic, a bit of mozarella and whay in the grill thingy, or in the oven... I will have a think about combinations.... do you have a george forman type grilly thing? tortillas filled and then put on there are stunning.. all crispy on the out side and squidgy in the middle..
I will have a ponder..... although i will probably come up with some weired concoctions :p

Ok we crossed again lol.... thanks for that -heading in the right direction -so im happy.. it amazing how you miss them being under your feet isn't it

Yep and it's amazing how you miss them making you a cuppa, too. :p

I had no idea you were supposed to peel peppers. :o I think it says I can put my wraps on the pannini. Shall have to check. I lost my GF grill in the fire and didn't get round to replacing that. Is still on my to do list.

    cheerfulness..

you don't have to peel the peppers... i love them raw, but if you peel them when they are cooked they go squidgy like the ones you get in bottles... mind you could alwasy buy the bags of frozen peppers.. i use them a lot for fajittas and pasta dishes.. and they go all squishy anyway....
OOOOHHHH you have a pannini machine ..im going green... no.. im not to buy another appliance :o ..... you should have no problem putting tortillas on there.. have you tried making your own yet? they are soooo cheap and bloomin tasty too... i won't be buying them again
    Right im off again now...honest
    have a good day :D

MOrning all. My best trousers still don't fit quite as I like them. OK by other peoples' standards (i.e, they fit), but I like my clothes to feel loose!

SO far..... porridge and an orange. Really will try hard to stay on track today.

Gotta run, going to M&S with MIL.

Hope you all have a good day... and behave yourselves!

    Hya Folks

Well done to all you losers...especially Mrs M...way to go!:T

Well, I forgot to weigh in first thing this morning, so I will do it tomorrow...can't say I expect much of a change. It's been a funny week...culminating in me sleeping pretty well most of yesterday (at least I couldn't eat while sleeping!).

I have been having a few days of dull aches around my left ear for a few days (grumbling tooth perhaps?), then on Wednesday evening it felt like something exploded in my head, excruciatingly painful. Ok I thought...looks like an ear infection, so took lots of Ibuprofen and paracetamol and tried to get some sleep (not much).

Took myself of to the doctors yesterday morning (now feeling dizzy and bright light made me feel worse...so donned the shades), who said it wasn't an ear infection, but an inflammation at the jaw joint there. He said to DOUBLE my Ibuprofen intake (so 4 x 400mg a day!) and take paracetamol too if I needed. So now I feel really tired...but the pain IS less. I am only going to stick this for a day or two and then drop the dosage, as I shudder to think what it is doing to the lining of my stomach.:eek:

So this is what happens when I eat and talk too much! (joke!!)

As it was, I didn't eat much yesterday (sleeping and too sore). My DH made me eat in the evening as I need it with all this Ibuprofen I am taking.

So today is a lazy one....might go back to bed soon

    B: porridge...nice and soft
    L: Soup probably
T: Spag bol...thank god for the freezer!

Hope every one is well, have a good day.

    M

Weigh in day - lost 1 pound! Could be more, but am noticeablly thinner, especially in the face, so am quite chuffed (and OH seeems to have noticed). OH has now lost 7 pounds too!

Was a bit naughty last night - had veg stirfry for dinner, but then had 3 crispbreads with reduced fat humous, and 6 animal biscuits (10 cals, 0.2g fat!) with a late night cuppa tea. Whoops.

    Today:

    B: Wholemeal 2 x toast, lime marmlade
L: salad, humous, 3 crackers, orange
D: southern crispy quorn burgers, roll, salad, rice? wedges. Something like that.

Quite fancy a bottle of red wine, too. xx
