Oh yes that lasagne sounds great Jackie I'll try it at the weekend
Rose- did you know that walking bare foot on the sand is soooo good for the legs and feet and burns up loads of calories... like walking in the snow, I'm not jealous though:rolleyes:0 -
Evening all,
To-day I have eaten:
porridge made with muesli, 5 dried apricots 5 prunes honey and coffee;
rice, chicken curry, jam doughnut, tea:
10 no sugar jelly babies;
Thin slice chicken breast
Going to make myself some celery and apple salad in a while, will use fat free yogurt and mayo as dressing.
Made large pot of minestrone soup which should keep me off junk to-morrow.
Weigh in to-morrow morning, not expecting much change.

Hello everyone - only just managed to get on the computer as have been running (well not running LITERALLY you understand) round all day with appointments and kids chauferring etc.
I went to see the dietician this morning and this stressed me out big time. She was talking about me having weight loss surgery and telling me what it would entail etc. and it made me really freak. She seemed to be saying that if I didn't have surgery then I wouldn't ever lose my weight, which I know is not true, but I can appreciate that it might seem like that because I have been overweight for nearly 10 years now. Anyway I came out of the appointment and went to the drive through McDonalds and ate 2 Big macs and a portion of these rank onion thingies which I didn't even enjoy. That set the scene for the rest of today which has been eating all kinds of bits and pieces (slice of toast, bit of cake, ham buttie, half a sausage, bit of mash from kids tea - all kinds) Now my stomach feels properly sore and I am totally annoyed and ashamed of myself:wall: . I stopped eating at 5.30 and haven't had anything since and will hopefully stay back on the wagon now, but TOTM is due on Monday and I seem to get this knawing craving for junk around now - I don't know why.
I am going to make a sugar free jelly now to have in for tomorrow, and hopefully I will feel more positive then. I have also decided that I am not going to buy any chocolate eggs for DD's this Easter - I will get them a small present instead and then I won't be tempted to eat their choc - They eat a little bit and I always end up scoffing the rest!
Queenpig - hope you have good news about your friend.
Toniwoty - hummus is the most rank thing in the world! I really don't like it!
Pebbles - glad you have made the decision to have the operation done.
:hello: to everyone else. How is frogga doing? does anyone know?
Good luck to tomorrows weighers!Jane

Hiya RS,
pls dont beat yourself up over one bad day. its human nature to slip up every now and then. over the next few days just make a few healthier choices and perhaps walk a wee bit more and you'll set yourself right.
im horrified that the dietician seemed to think your only way of losing weight was surgery:mad: , i have been over weight for nearly 10 yrs myself, i exercise lots but i simply eat too much, and since coming across this thread i have automatically started to look after my self more with the help and good advice from all the peeps on here. its the best healthy living club i know! everyone on here knows that the extra weight doesnt go on overnight, so its not going to magically disappear either, its a bloody hard journey but we are all here for each other to give encourage and congrats on the way!
IMO opinion if you have to see that dietician again i would give her the link to this thread to show that there is another way!!!Please be nice to all moneysavers!

RS,
Do you have a good and supportive GP?
It sounds as if the people you are seeing at the moment are telling you what they want you to do, rather than presenting an appropriate range of treatment options to help you. I would have thought that a trained dietician ought to have a rather more sensitive and tactful approach.
It may be that ultimately surgical treatment is the way forward for you, but it has to be your decision and not theirs. You have every right to choose your treatment..... that's why they have consent forms!
There are lots of people here you can talk to, I'm sure if you need to chat with anyone in a more private environment, then just PM. I'm happy to talk if you want to.
I've had a bit of an iffy day. Will try and make tomorrow a better one. I need to as I'm entertaining at the weekend and I want to start out under control.
