    Hi All,

It's about 2 weeks before I can renew my contract now. This will be the third year i'm renewing with o2 and have consistently spent about £40 a month. I'm all ready to speak to the retentions people but the only problem is the phone I have my heart set on isn't out yet (its the SE K800i which i've heard is out on the 26th June). I was just wondering if I should get on the phone to them now and see what they can offer me or if I should hold off until the phone is actually released? It still doesn't have the N80 on the website even though people are getting it as an upgrade. Thanks!!

Ive nearly finished my first year with o2.

For the first 3 or 4 months my bills were between £100 - £300, then i decided to get a huge text bolt on and for the rest of the year i have paid £60 a month.

Do you reckon i could get them to offer me either a LG Chocolate or a Nokia N80 for free with at least 750 free messages a month (i dont care how many minutes) for a decent price?

would i get that for under £30 a month? or am i being unreasonable?

you should look for and will get a v good deal with that spend, with the bills you are paying you must have been on the wrong tariff too btw

you're not the only person who has said that. The thing is i send LOTS of texts. usually 1000-1500 a month, but hardly any minutes. The best tariffs i could find were on 3. They are offering 1000 free texts for around £30 a month but all the phones are !!!!!! poor!! (mostly LGs or big bricks)

when you ring o2 just tell them that,, try and get through to a manager and they will be able to give you a very tailored one,, id say look for about 1000 texts and maybe 100mins for <£20 a month with phone

Told em i had seen a better deal with 3 and i'd decided to leave, they then offered me my same contract at £15 a month with the SE W810i !!!

I am on O2 Online 50. Contract finishing 24 July.
I paid an average of £21 / month (Originally £19)
I called few weeks ago and bargained 500 minutes & 500 texts for £20 with a Sony z520i and a Free bluetooth. I know its a crappy fone but I dont wanna pay anything for fone.

After all was decided they realised I still have to go until 24 June. I asked them to put this offer as a note.

Should I go for this deal on 24th June or try bargaining more at that point?

I was also on the 200 mins & 500 texts for £30 month which always seemed to cost me £35! Rang to plead poverty and close the account as a result of being on unpaid maternity leave now and got new Nokia 6131, 250 mins, 500 texts and line rental reduced to £20. RESULT! (And what a nice man I spoke to!)

Hi there's nothing to stop you leaving them and then going back as a new customer. There are plenty of deals cash back offers out there . I saw one being offered by a company called cpwclearance.com I don't know if they are part of the CPW. Just get a news paper and have a look. I am with o2 I got my phone originally from Dial a Phone. my contract ended this year i threatened to leave they made a offer I liked so I stayed.
