Quick update, called o2 again today about the tariff they offered me but couldn't give me, because I am a o2 U.K not o2 online customer. 1000 mins anytime any net plus 100 text £20 a month, should be £35. They now have gave me the same but they will have to re-new it every six months, its o2 500 with double mins and texts, 1000 mins and 200 texts. I have asked for a confirmation email this time, and they have agreed to do this but I have not received this yet.

top deal, has anyone got a deal on the nokia n91 yet from 02?

Right well I have emailed Peter Erskine this morning as I have now rang bloody O2 and they now tell me that they have ordered my new phone but it is no longer in stock on the computer system that my account is registered on, although it is availiable on the alternative system! They are taking the absolute p out of me - really they are!!

I am so angry - I just hate bad customer service. I compare the service that I have encountered to the service that my partner has received from 3 and there really is no comparision - his has been first class the entire time.

I will see what Peter Erksine has to say and if I get no where I will be cancelling my contract with O2, something which maybe I should have done last year at upgrade time, maybe.

Me again, just to update the thread with my saga that has now been sorted out.

Went to the O2 store today and actually picked up the handset from there (why the call centre didn't tell me I could do this at the start I do not know!)

Member of staff from Peter Erskines team has also rang me this morning and has acknowledged the bad customer service and assures me that he will be looking into this matter himself. The only good side to this bloody nightmare, is that they have now given me the phone for free, in addition to the £25 credit they put on the account last week for complaining.

My total spend with O2 for the year is now £120 which includes 100 x net mins and 500 texts, with a free Nokia 6280 and a £25 credit from O2 - net spend £95, which isn't bad despite all the hassle they have caused me.

So, it pays to complain to the right people - again thank you to the opening post and also the person who directed me in the direction of Mr Peter Erskine - although I'm not overly impressed with O2 right now, I have managed to get a cracking deal out of them, all be it, eventually!

Handset is nice by the way, thanks again x

I am on 20pm 1000 on net off peak for 0844ing to antigua and jamaica and just renewed for 12 months - no handset but 240 cashback on my next bill = zero pounds for 17 hours to JA / Antigua per month - ok so I could do this via cashback and get a handset as well but this way no claims and no credit check..

PS The wife uses the minutes to talk to her mum / sister - I am not so talkative...
    I think....

I got 2000 x-net mins and 200 txts for £37.50 per month, they sent me the Nokia 8880 but I found it difficult to use, so I sent it back and now got a Nokia N91.

Ahhh!! Thats a wicked deal....Called them up and complained?
  • Just got A new deal for the second year in a row. I have been switched from 400 mins 1000 texts for £30 month to 750 mins and 750 texts for £20. With a choice of free handsets. Asked about the N91 and the guy tried to disuade me from getting it...i was only going to sell it anyway.

The alternative was to have a years free use with 100 mins and 500 texts, but that meant not getting a new phone.

Just need to ring back on 1st June when the handset i am getting...the Sonyericsson W810. Maybe they may have the N80 and i can try for that as and when i ring again.

Pleased with the deal i am getting as i was quite happy with my current deal anyway as it was guranteed to only be £30 a month anyway.
