The plan is "normally" £16 per month but I think that is for people who don't questions prices etc. and just go for whatever the sales person say. We, the moneysavers, know that this is only the basis for negotiation.

I don't think you get treats on this plan (O25). I remember seing a pdf file i found on o2.co.uk somewhere (cant remember where, it was well hidden as with most things you want to know). I think that it said treats was for O50 and above. But don't quote me on that.

If treats are still available then this is indeed a very very very good deal as long as you don't want a new handset. Which I don't.

I was on 025 paying the £16 p/m before this great deal :D I did get the treats on this but like you thought i'd read something which i thought was for plans over £16. If as you say this is technically a £16 plan then maybe we do still get treats, fingers crossed and thanks again for this post or i'd have been off to PAYG instead of a great freebie :D

Do these deal only apply to O2 billed accounts? I have a contract I want to cancel but it is with CPW on O2. Also does anyone know a freephone or geographic number for CPW O2 customer service (08701117200) I can't find anything on say no to 0870.

    Thanks
    I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.

Try any of those. If it's not the right department ask them to transfer you.

    Hi all,

I have read your posts on 02 wanting to keep customers. I was just wondering if anyone thought it would be possible for me to match the Vodaphone online tariff of £20/mth with 125 minutes and 250 free texts with a free Sony Ericsson W810i phone. I have been with 02 on their high street 100 tariff (£25/mth with 100 minutes and 100 texts) since 14th July last year and I just pay the £25/mth. Do you think it's worth me contacting them at this stage or should I hang on for another 6 weeks or so.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Susan

    Hi Susan,

You could certainly give them a call and ask if they will match this tariff but they might not do anything for you until the 14 June 2006 - 30 days prior to the end of your contract.

Certainly worth a call through :)

I agree with matrix its worth calling them but I'd wait till nearer the time. Only because by that time they will have forgotten ever agreeing to such a tariff :D or deals/fones might be better in a month or so's time.

    Hi Folks,

I think this has been discussed in a few posts but just to let you know O2 Retentions are pulling all stops to keep customers by matching just about anything you can find.

The two new tariffs they have on offer are called Discount 500 and Discount 750.

500 Anytime X Network Mins or 750 Anytime X Network Mins and 400 Texts as well all for £15.00 or £17.50

This can't be true. Its too good to be true. O2 would make heavy losses if they did this.

ok but were you also allowed to upgrade to a new handset as well in addition to this offer? free?

and was it a 12 month or 18 month contract?
  • After reading Martin's article about speaking to Mobile providers to get more out of them. Well i rang up o2 in month 11 of my 12 month contract. I told CS that i was no longer happy with my Online 400 (£45 p/m) contract, as Three et el were giving better deals. I got put through to 'Disconnetions' ;) and said similar, the guy I spoke to uhmed and arred and offered me 750 minutes, and 750 texts for £22.00 a month, and a nice new Nokia 6230i. What a result! ;)
