Just renewed for 18 months:

500 anytime mins
1100 texts
First 12 months discounted to £15 then £30 for last 6 (so ave is £20 month)

and a free Nokia N95 with 1GB card pre-loaded with maps

took about 20 mins with lots of referring to supervisor - was based on the talker £30 tariff with a 1000 text bundle added and then the 12 month discount

(comes to under £7 a month effective cost if we sell the N95 for about £240 to my daughters techno-weenie boyfriend!)

am a newbie here,

i been on an o2 contact for 18mths, old online talker 500
i'm on 1000xmins/ 150txts for £25pm (was £35 but received a lump sum)

am due to upgrade on the 2nd October.
was thinking bout getting a G600.

what kind of offers are available?
any realistic changes to my contract i could push for??

please help much

I seem to be getting nowhere with 02. Have been with them for about 4 years and they say its impossible to get G600 on 12 months contract with 500 texts and 500mins for £20. No help whatsoever. Offered me U600 at £20 for 6 months then £30 for following 12 months. Complete rubbish. Said to cancel contract I have to write to them.

I have upgraded my O2 contract today. I got 400 x network mins, 500 texts and a Samsung U600 blue, on a 12 month contract for £20 per month (£35 less £15 discount) Am well pleased!

I started by saying that I'd seen an O2 deal at CPW 18mths at £20 with a Motorola RZR K1. She tried to tell me it was a cashback deal, which it definitely wasn't, as the chap in the shop had brought it up on screen and confirmed that. Then she went away and came back and offered me this deal but with a different Motorola handset. I asked if I could have the Samsung instead, as I've always had Samsung phones, and BINGO!

The joys and satisfaction of getting yourself a good deal. I have been with O2 for 5 years. I have been on the same contract for the past few years 500 texts 500 minutes cost £35 a month discounted to £20 a month, get a good handset every year. I tried the usual im gonna cancel routine this year and they said ok we'll send you a payg sim and a puk code. The sim card arrived today but no puk code so rang up and asked where it was? He gave me it straight away. I have taken out a new contract with vodafone(thats a separate story as i took the samsung u600 4 weeks ago lifted it out of my pocket on saturday and the screen was covered in ink so must be an internal crack and i didnt take the insurance) so I have no phone. Thought i might aswell chance my arm here with o2 as i can take the phone they offer me use it for my vodafone contract and give the o2 sim to my wife. I asked the question how can you tempt me to stay? After a few dodgee offers of expensive tarrifs and crap phones managed to keep my £20 a month on a 12 month contract, 500 mins 500 texts and a new nokia n95. Im a happy camper.

Well I tried again, and hey presto an offer I am pleased with.
400xnet minutes, 500 texts and a new phone Nokia 6300. Hope this phone is ok, thought about pushing for the samsung G600 but not sure if the phone is as good as the nokia and since my present one is nokia thought I would stick with what I know. THe tried to charge me £25 per month at first but I said no. What do you guys think?

been a 02 online customer for 12 mths
paying 25 pounds a month
i get 100mins anytime and 500 texts......

well rang them three times in the last week got offered not very good deals all 18mth contacts so turned them down and got my pac

someone rang me doing a o2 questinnaire last night on there telephone manners and how my phone call went with them and our i rated them.
i just said the truth mostly telling them they are so poor etc


anyway just had a phone call from o2 about last night

they asked why i wanted to leave i said the deal was poor

so i told her what i wanted

she then said ill offer u a the same deal your on
12mth contact 25pounds a mth
100 mins 500 texts
and 250 cashback

so then said what phones u could offer me
well she said ok i can do this
knock 10 a mth of your 12 mth contact for 12month.
so that is 15 a mth

she then offered me n73 or w880i u900 and nokia 7300 and samsung g600

so i took the deal and the g600

have i made a mistake with the phone here i wanted the most value one as i dont plan to keep it?

Hello,

I have been with 02 for 12 months paying £20 a month for 20 mins and 50 texts.

02 keep trying to ring me, but I am never around to answer their calls.

What's the best thing to say to get a good deal, should I do the following:

1. Ring up and ask for my PAC
2. Tell them I have seen T-Mobile in my local shop offering a free G600, 12 month contract, 500 mins and 500 texts for £15, can they match it ? (the deal I just made up )

Any advice would be appreciated
