    Hello ... me again

Yes I will be more assertive.

So I sound as if I know what I am talking about before going back to shop can you please tell me the following

If I buy a dongle (I googled it)

do I still need a contract with 3?

Or do I like my phone - phone up and add credit to my phone

Sorry but all this is new to me at the moment .... I will get there in the end

    Tamarin

PAYG=Pay as you go, so no contract needed for the 3 dongle.

You top up the dongle an amount, depending on how much you want.

Hope I have spelled this right "dongler".
I have broadband access through my landline at the moment. However, I see this thing called a "dongler" now available which appears to plug into either a pc ,or laptop and uses the 3G network for access.
Given I hardly use the landline for calls anymore I'm considering dropping the landline and moving over to the dongler.
Before I do this I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has already got internet access setup in this way and how do they feel it compares on performance against broadband via landline. The main issues I think would be speed and continuity of connection.
Appreciate any feedback from people who either have it themselves ,or know someone who does who may have related their ideas about it.
    Thanks

    Its actually called a Dongle!
You title reminded me of a line from carry on up the Khyber.
When Private Widdle was asked why he had a hot water bottle under his kilt, he replied that it kept his dangler warm!:rotfl:
A few people have recommended the O2 service but I've not tried it myself.

    LOL..dongler ,I've started something.
Years ago i ago a cad system and for it to work you had to put a dongle in the back of the pc.Then the other day I'm talking to a guy about this dongle and he swears blind it's now called dongler because the original word dongle is copyrighted.
    LOL
and I still don't know if it's any good !
