selling books on Amazon - tips for more profit

Books on Greenmetropolis appear to stay listed until you remove them - when I first started using the site I found something somewhere which said that the books would be listed for 6 months, but all mine are still there after around 10 months!

I don't sell many at all on Greenmetropolis although any sales are gratefully received of course and as you don't have to keep on relisting then you can just let them sit on the site until hopefully someone bites - don't forget to remove them though if you sell them through Amazon say!

On the postage front I always try to select the correct amount so that I don't frighten any prospective buyers off! After all you are getting £3 per book which is a lot more than you get for the 1p books on Amazon.

Just as an extra throught - I've just put my listings up on Listbooks.co.uk and obviously as I've only just done this haven't had any sales yet. I know it is a new fledgling site but just wondered what other people thought of it - I know Soolin has taken his books off as he hadn't had any joy.

I am still a bookselling virgin(but I live in hope!!!) but have decided to try some tactics where I have listed the 1p books on GM and any others that will net me over £3.00 on Amazon.

Obviously I cannot comment yet but I'll let you know how it goes!!!

There is a "comment" section on GM so you can big 'em up AT!!!

I really don't dare to have them listed on both at once cos I have been quite unlucky lately and don't wanna tempt fate!!!! :eek:

Another Amazon question - If i upgrade my account to pro seller (I can't remember what the deluxe membership is called! Sorry) will i have to unlist and relist all my books? Or will from my upgrade onwards all the books i have listed previously escape the listing fee?

If you upgrade to Pro Merchant seller you MUST do it before 30 November, as you will get 3 months at half price. There is no need to do anything with your listings, they all stay just as they are, both the existing books and new listings will all be at the reduced fee rate from then on.

Whoa Hoo! that was what i was hoping for! I came home tonight to find i have sold another two. This is really addictive!
