I'd leave the Blake's 7 videos in the charity shop, they can't even be given away! The problem with cult TV programmes is that the die hard fans will have got the DVDs and there aren't enough 'casual ' fans around to buy the unwanted videos.

I recently found a video boxed set of 'Rock Follies' in the pound shop and bought a couple thinking I could make money on ebay and/or Amazon only to find hundreds of copies already listed at 1p..it's easy to forget that virtually every high street has a Poundshop now and I should know better :o

BTW is it just me that gets a little frisson of a thrill when I login to my email and see that little Amazon email telling me to despatch something as I've made a sale?

I do so agree, I can't decide which is better, getting an email saying that I've sold one that I listed 2 hours ago or one that has been listed for 4 years and has finally found a buyer.
  • I agree too - there's a definite thrill when an email comes through. Just got one actually which I'm really pleased about as things have been rather quiet for a week or so.

For me I think the best feeling is when a book goes which I've had listed for ages and ages. When ones go very quickly (I think 5 hours is my record) I feel as though I'm not ready for it to be sold - mind you that feeling soon changes when the funds are sent into my bank account!!!

  • I always think i have time to read a book before it sells but so many times my OH has come home while i have been trying to rush read a book because i have sold it.
  • When a book sells quickly I always think that I could have sold it for a better price. Anyway I'm only selling my old books that I never read anymore and are just collecting dust. I have sold quite a few in the past week or so and my Amazon experience is becoming really enjoyable. :)
  • My other half had to clean out all his stuff from his parents attic today. There are about 10 boxes of books. Yippee!
