  • Hi purple

I can't access this page, I have the link here

    https://secure.amazon.co.uk/exec/panama/seller-admin/download/preorder-report

but I can't make it work, I asked on the amazon forum for help with it, it was suggested that I log out, then in and try again but it was no better, I emailled amazon to query it but didn't get an answer - I gave up.

As far as cancelling your pro merchant subscription, I think that you can cancel anytime and I assume that you just get the benefit till the end of the month that you have paid for then you revert to normal

Thanks for that link AT, will give it a go.

By the way, I was having the same problem and logging out and in didn't work for me. But clearing the cache sorted it for me. I used https://www.ccleaner.com that Mr Skint recommended on the New Servers thread. Might be worth a try.
  • Hmmm. I tried that pre-order report and got the results ok but it's a bit weird. Looking for one title in particular that according to the product details page has a buyer waiting, but the report does not include the title anywhere

Well I bit the bullet tonight and listed a couple of cds I don't ever listen to- wanted to list a 3rd one but when I put in the title the version I've got doesn't seem to be there and it wants a asin (?) number - but I can't find where to find that on the product. Does anyone know where the number I need to find will be - or where I can find it on the internet?

It's the number under the barcode. Some CDs have an extra digit at the beginning or end, so if the number isn't recognised at first try knocking those off. I listed 25 CDs last week and 9 sold within 3 days! Not bad for saying I'd had them on ebay for a while and got nowhere!

Hi Mike - :hello: welcome to MSE and the Amazon thread (actually there is so much of this thread there's enough for a large sweater :o )

You have a lot of books to shift! have you upgraded to the amazon pro-merchant subscription? if you are likely to sell more than 17 books per month it will save you 86 pence per book after that. It's half price for 3 months at the moment but you have to join before the 30 november.

I think that there are a few of us that sell on both sites but I haven't duplicated all my books I just have handful on greenmet but not sold any as yet.

I don't understand new books at 1 penny either - I can't see how it would work unless it's a 'new' book that was given as a gift and not read so it's not a proper books seller selling a new book but a private seller who just wants rid of an unwanted book

thanks for the welcome apprentice tycoon and sorry for not replying before now. i couldn't work out how to reset my password so although i read it, i couldn't reply! :o i'll have a look at the pro seller while the offer's still open. i might see what happens if i list a book at 1p but only a light one :)

Does anyone sell vinyl records? i've acquired a few over the years but i'm not sure how to rate them, or even what packaging is needed. thanks.

AT I am sure it is somewhere on this thread but just how much is it to upgrade?
Also what is the normal cost and the special offer you are talking of?
    Cheers

I bought a couple of really cheap books from Oxfam on Saturday but when I got them home there are several already on Amazon for 1p so I would have sold at a loss. On the off chance I have listed them both on ebay and have just sold one at four times the price i paid...I'm really pleased as without this thread I wouldn't have found Amazon, and without Amazon I wouldn't have bothered looking for second hand books in the first place.

I'm going to take it down from Amazon now and then take the book to the post office.

    Ooh, I love books...

I am building up quite a selection of books just wish I had a library to put them all in,I am sure other half is going to start moaning about them sooner or later, they are all just in boxes at the moment stacked up in alphabetical order so I can read the titles easily when I sell one.

My names Angela and I am a book buyingaholic, and I blame AT lol

Seriously it is getting a bit out of hand I cant pass a second hand shop without going in.

Sold 16 things since joining the Pro Merchant 12 days ago,so thats going ok.

Have had to put my Amazon bookshop thingie on holiday so STILL haven't sold anything but I can't wait to get broadband at home so I can REALLY get into it!!! :j
