I've hit a lull after selling 5 books
Not too concerned though as it was just a bit of extra money to play with. I'll leave the books for next years suni students!

apprentice_tycoon wrote:Hintza - did you have the listing mistakenly duplicated? I can't see any other reason why they can sell something that you have cancelled. I think you need to check your sellers account page again and check everything through - it just like your 'my ebay' page - everything that happens gets written up there.
I have both the cancelled listing and the one that has sold are the same number weird!!!0 -
That must be a fluke - it doesn't make any sense at all.0

OK have sold a couple of books and listed one incorrectly which has sold! So I already know how to do a refund
(positive and negative experience).
My question is when you get a book from a charity shop where they seem to really dig in with a pencil marking the price, can you suggest any kind of eraser that deals with them? I have got the sticky label one sussed, but the pencil ones seem harder to eliminate.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but its such a huge thread, could not find it.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I know what you mean about the indentations -
I'm not sure that it's a problem really because you're not trying to pass the book off as brand new and it's perfectly reasonable for a book to be third hand, as long as you have described the condition accuratly then it's OK.
You can get an eraser called a putty eraser that is very soft and won't pull at the paper.0 -

Have sent a mail to buyer explaing problem and offering a number of potential resolutions. Also mailed Amazon to ask how and why it happened will keep you guys informed.0 -
How ironic are these places? I went to list a book and Green Met are undercutting :eek:0

Please can you advise me - I've just sold my first item on Amazon and have received an email from the buyer apologising and asking me to send the toy to a different address (in the same town). The Amazon help section says I should not send it and should refund the transaction. What would the experienced Amazonians do? Many thanks, NCW.NCW0

That's an interesting one -I haven't come across this before.
Gut feeling says don't send it, did they give a good reason why the change? had they just moved house? if so I'm sure they could change this on the Amazon records and do the job properly.
I can't wait to see what everyone else says.0 -
They didn't give a reason for wanting it sent to another address just said that it was their fault and they were sorry and could I send it to the other address. They sounded genuine enough. I've emailed them back twice now explaining that I'd ideally like to post to the Amazon registered address but I've had no reply as yet. So I've still got the money (only £20, paid on Sunday) and not sent the parcel which I feel a little guilty about. Thanks NCW.NCW0
