Suesy Sue, I expect it's too late, but I'd be tempted to use a tad more syrup or honey to help bind it. (But I'm not the best biscuit maker, be warned:rolleyes: ) Just thought a *best guess* answer was better than none:o :rotfl:

  • Churchmouse - thank you, I have cooked the mixture in cake tins pressed down hard and will cover in choc to help bind it (and add a few more calories!!)

I made Twinks hobnobs on Thu and Sat and they have all gone, so I think I will stick to making them!

  • I thought that might stir up a discussion! Twink I have to say your hobnobs are delish, I took them to work on Fri and they didn't last long, 3 people have asked for the recipe!
  • Evening all
Poor Katy has had a bad day with the kids today, she really seems to rub them up the wrong way & they her. She was almost hysterical this evening & now I'm exhausted from trying to talk her down. I'm going to bed soon as I can't get warm.
I made a banana loaf when I got in, so I'll take that to work tomorrow. I'm going to do an hour on the phone & crochet while I work, I'm aiming to be in bed for 8:30.
    Have a good evening
    Hugs Hester

Quesadillas went very well for dinner - next time I must remember that tortillas cook very quickly and I need to cut the chicken up much smaller. They are also very filling.

Hester - I dont know how you do it - is she actually a good teacher?
  • Evening all, I think I am going to join the masses heading off to bed early. My back is killing me and I just feel out of sorts. I even looked in the mirror this morning and contemplated a facelift, that's really not old style is it?

Evening everybody, and ((((hugs)))) to hilstep and beemuzed :grouphug:

As Churchmouse and Shez said, it was really misty here in London earlier, but lovely by the afternoon :)

catowen, well done on another win! I've got that book (got it cheap from a Book People event) and I live on page 127 :D The pasta recipe with pancetta/leek/mushroom is now a part of my staple diet. Here's a tip, it works great with value cooking bacon instead of the pancetta ;) The other recipe on the same page - penne with runner beans and goat's cheese - I was planning on cooking today, but I forgot to buy the rosemary  so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Pooky - the traybake looks yummy

I've been a bit careless with my cash the last few days - not wasteful, as it was all spent on stuff which will get made into yummy lunches and dinners, but even so... I had been so proud of myself for saving £35 since the beginning of the month by doing a bit of a storecupboard challenge, and now I've spent it all - mostly on new storecupboard items  :o:D

Managed to finish one of my reviews last night but still have to top and tail the other, so better be off...

    Love Rzl xx

Edit: cross posted with you Moggins - hugs to you, maybe an early night will do you good :)

VickyA - yr trip sounds lovely!! will you have time to meet up for a quick drink whilst you're in town?? or I could come and help out with those tea and cakes!;) :D

I'm sure that we could do (though the cakes are mine, all mine!!)! It's not until the end of April, but I'm trying to persuade DH that we need to stay for Sunday lunch. Anyone else fancy an impromptu OS meet? :D
