Afternoon all...........(((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) if you need one.......especially Hillstep............
Its a lovely morning, quite warm now the wind has dropped. I had to go and get my script this morning, so we went to the library, a quick top up trip to Mr T's at the same time.
Nothing much to report, did not hear our 'lady of the night?' going out last night, have not seen her this morning, although we did have an interesting conversation with the SHO.........she said she thought she had been talked into taking the studio............she must be over 50, but she classes us all as old fogy's............having said that she looks older than me...........
I have taken the first dose of medicine 5 more to go, have to take two pills a day for 3 days...................hope the improvement is rapid, just now I am just a little fed up..............
We had a letter from the Bank this morning, they are putting the account charge up.............I think its time for a move, so am looking at opening an account at the alliance which has a branch at our local shopping centre. If I transfer to Naionwide I have to use the car to get there, by the way Tesco have there 5p a litre off fuel on again.
The workmen have started on the kitchen, by the time we got down this morning the cabinets are down the tiles off and they were about to start knocking the wall out, its going to be a very long narrow kitchen when they have finished.
Right off to get my head down for a couple of hours.......feel tired for some reason................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Afternoon All
(((Hillstep))) so sorry to hear of your loss.
Catowen - Congrats on the win
Mrs-moneypenny - Thank you, you have reminded me that I want to go to the library today.
Redruby - sorry only just got back in. This is the way I am making chicken quesadillas today.
Heat some tinned tomatoes with chilli, cumin and possible garlic reduce a little - then will add some leftover chicken till reheated thro. Will put on a tortilla then sprinkle grated cheese over, place another tortilla on top then put in frying pan for a couple of minutes each side. I am going to serve it with sour cream, nachos and salsa. There are loads of different recipes on the web.
Well came home from the dentist definately lighter in the pocket - need to have tooth crowed for £194 & need further two appointments but at least there is no pain at the moment. Damn cinammon nuts - which I walked straight past the stall now..... but there were very nice.
Oh well office work here I come.0 -
Hi Everyone! half term here too, which is a relief after last week - know just what you mean Hilstep - but you will get through it, promise. Glad your children could show you how sensitive youngsters can be - often a surprise I know. Phone call from cousin early this morning - dear uncle passed away last night, so Mum has company at least! I don't know, huge family gathering for Mum last week, now another clearly scheduled for next week too.
made third batch of marmalade yesterday afternoon, now just a problem storing it all, and sure I have enough for at least two years!
Today have tackled our large chest freezer - not been emptied for about four years. Surprisingly little thrown out apart from various dessicated rolls and naan breads. About to tackle the no-go area laughingly referred to as "the spare room". Not sure I can even open the door easily, so have a real project on my hands.
Neav - I wanna come to the party! Diet be blowed!
((HUGS)) to all who need one today. Back later to catch up.Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -
phew - that's the end of the cookathon! At the moment I'm too knickered to apreciate the "ready meals" but I'm sure it will make a big difference to the working week. have done two pizzas, a peanut noodle thing, minestrone soup, veggie shepherds pie and half a dozen bean burgers - not sure how all of these will freeze and quite frankly at the moment I don't care. Next time I do this I will prep properly - e.g. slice all the onions at the same time - like wot you're supposed to. I am celebrating with a large coffee and there is a pork chop in the oven - 2 mummy weekends on the trot have left me feeling very meat deprived
I wish I had seen wife swap last night - anyone know when it is repeatedI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Good afternoon all !
Lovely morning, blue skies and sunshine so, list in hand off I went to town for a few bits and bobs (well more than a few really). Must have left my brain behind...........came back in a taxi, pick 'n mix I got from woolies spilled out all over the floor (will a bit of muck hurt my grandkids ??), got in and checked my list.............two shops I completely forgot to go in and two more I went in and forgot half the bits I went in for................so much for my organised little list ! Wouldn't have been so bad if I'd checked in as I went from shop to shop....................lol - then I might not have fallen into the trap of spending just that little bit more than I intended on stuff I didn't really need !
So, looks like I'll have to go again tomorrow...........need to collect a parcel from the Post Office (card shoved through the door when I got home) and do hope its the stuff I ordered from a website in January !
Hope you're having a great day and hugs (((((((((((:o ))))))))))))))) to all those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
