Morning.
No school term here yet, next week I think it is.
So My moan of the day is my oven really sorry guys but I need to sound off at some one.
My oven blew up yesterday and 3 weeks ago from pay day no chance of getting one till at least then......So going to have to try and shave as much as I can off food bills and spending even more I wouldnt have minded but we haven't had it that long I'm sure I had it before I had my daughter which would be around 3 or 4 years old (I got the money at Christmas for it off nana and my daughters birthday is shortly after christmas shes just turned 3)
I've worked out why its blown because I planned to buy the flooring for the bedroom, finish painting the bedrooms and on top of that my dd and ds2 and had a growth spurt in the last week:rolleyes: typical eh, I told my mother last night and all she was bothered about was making sure I can pay her sky bill on tuesday till she gets the money to me. and all because she doesn't want to miss lost.........(I wonder if Jack has an oven on that Island for me :rotfl: ) anyway at least a have a 2 ring hob, the mic, steamer and slow cooker.....I just can't bake really.
Anyway I'm sure I've bored you to tears by now lol thanks if you got this far.
QP.Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:0 -
Good morning everyone! Had a great weekend. Wedding, ceilidh and hog roast on Saturday night, and true to form my friend and I danced every dance. We were bold and asked several of the unattached men to join us, and had no refusals :j Stayed up until 2am chatting with different people, then a fab cooked breakfast and bottomless teapot (my favourite
) and a drive back across the dales. Gardened yesterday afternoon, and have a list of little garden jobs to finish.
I was clearly tired, as I've only just got up and am typing this in my jammiesI need to dust and hoover round today, help DD with her coursework, assist DS in completing some Scout badges, and bake. Lamb stovies for tea.
N9eav - I'm up for a party - can we have a ceilidh, too
Hilstep - hugs for you
Vicky - the theatre weekend sounds lovley!
Pooky and Catowen - have you tried Freecycle for pasta makers? I asked and was offered 4!
Shez - hugs for you. I'd ask DS's girlfriend to reimburse you for the ticket. I'm around today if you want to chat, but my MSN has been playing up.
Hugs for Master Booklover - DS has had nights like that, and I know how frightening it is.
Metherer - we drove through Skipton - not been there for ages, but it was lovely - and it was sunny :T
Wanna Save - by the time you read this - hope you've had a good day!
Tea's brewing - need to take cups to the Small Penguins.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Hi all  hope you are all well this morning
((hugs)) for hilstep
VickyA, I hope you enoy your trip to London - sounds great
Pooky - well done on your ebay sales! I have to bit the bullet and list some things - I've not done it for ages and all the forms have changed!
Queenpig - I think it's half term next week here too. You can tell when school is out because there is no traffic in the morning - it's gridlock during termtime!
Had slow weekend, I was just so tired I slept for most of it; then I feel bad for wasting my only bit of free time asleep! I spent the rest of saturday priming a scratch on my bike ready for painting and preserving fruit. I got some oranges from the market last week and they are very small and very sour (they are definitely oranges!) so arent much good for eating as is, but they work well in syrup. I made some orange and clove drizzle cake with a couple of them. On Sunday we went to the botanic garden in Oxford - it's quiet small, but we both get in for free, so it's nice to wander round.
I have a stack of papers to go through now and some answer sheets to prepare by tomorrow morning - I might handwrite them though as the structures take ages to draw on the computer. Still, at least I get to hibernate at my desk for a few hours.Have a good day everyone. cel x

Morning everyone!
Its really Foggy and cold here - I dont think CM will see me wave across the Thames today!! :rotfl: Its really is Jack the Ripper London today!!
Yesterday was glorious so took the kids and bikes to Greenwich Park, got the most amazing views as it was so clear! The summery weather caught out the kiost in the kidspark - as he sold out of ice lollies!! played footie with the kids, and DD (3yr) is really good (if I say so myself!) really good dribbling, and then had all the goalie actions!! I'm sure she thinks she's a boy:rolleyes: :rotfl:
DS1 came home yesterday and apologised - but then it all went pear shaped and turned round so it was my fault somehow"mums never win" I think! so N9eav I could sink a few bottles of vino with you right now!
This afternoon Ive got to go to a job club in Stratford....cant you just see how ecstatic I am:rolleyes:
I've got ironing to do this morning whilst watching Homes Under The Hammer and then make some bread puddings to use up some old bread, and make a rasin loaf in the BM for my neighbour.
and hopefully get round to making those almond slices mioliere!!;)
catowen - well done on another win!:T Think I'd better start entering radio comps for concert tickets.....seeing as they want £200 for Michael Buble at the O2!!!
Happy Monday everyone!0 -
Good morning:D
(((((((Hilstep)))))) this will be a very sad, hard week for you. All you can do is try to take some comfort from the fact that she is now at peace, and freed from all burden. Will be thinking of you.
I've been to the gym, chatted more than I worked:rotfl: :rotfl: Well I'd done a workout, de-icing my car at 6.45 this morning.
Today, I have great plans! If I achieve a tenth of them, my house will gleam and the biscuit tins will overflow:rotfl: :rotfl: That's right, nobody hold your breath will you? I really must get some stuff sorted downstairs. The area around my chair in the living room is a mini mountain of various crafts, craft books, and novels:oAnd to think I moan because the rest of them are untidy:rotfl:
I need to tidy the freezer too, so I can find something to defrost for dinner tonight. Lunch will be a sandwich made with home made bread;) ( that one's especially for you Aussie:D ) Breakfast will be another cup of coffee.
I'm off for a quick look round. Enjoy your days,
CMYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Try your local freecycle group - if there is not an oven on "offer" then you could do a "wanted" post.
Last year I freecycled an automatic bed and a three piece suite and am waiting for someone to come to collect an office desk.
((((hillstep)))
Having some tea and eggs on (one piece) of toast as trying to lower carbs.
If I can find a good hotel deal am going to offer to take DD(14) to London for two days.
Large Pickford's van next door so looks like neighbours are going- will miss them as they were a nice family - lets hope this spurs some interest in our house.
Hugs to everyone

Have a look on the recipes on here especially the slow cooker ones as you can just throw stuff in before you leave in the morning and turn it on low - at tea time you have a huge pot of soup or stew - I even made lasagne in mine."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Yes DS said he would pay for the ticket, but I was more annoyed at them mucking me about and thinking it was ok to let me down tbh - but there you go....
VickyA - yr trip sounds lovely!! will you have time to meet up for a quick drink whilst you're in town?? or I could come and help out with those tea and cakes!;)0
