  • I'm just plodding along slowly and hoping if I lose the weight nice and easy, it will stay off.

(read that as, if I can keep sweet things away from my gob and master portion control I'll be ok :D )

    Good day today again.

Cereal bar for brekkie around 9am, I leave for work so early in the morning I can't face eating!
    Bento box for lunch
    3245727102_e3e7a058ce_m.jpg

Yakitori chicken and prawn, steamed pak choi and carrots, shaped boiled egg, dairylea strip cheese (1piece) steamed mange tout. Mayo cup of kewpie mayo for dipping and a sprinkle of sesame and nigella seeds for flavour. Small rolled japanese omlette (tamagoyaki) Oh and a clementine. In the piggy is some soy sauce to have on the chicken as well, but I didn't use it. (The empty cup was where my egg went when it had cooled after boiling last night)

Bowl of home made veg soup for tea and 2 slices toast.

Now having a cup of lo cal hot chocolate and that's been me for the day. ;)
  • That looks like a nice lunchbox. Is there a lot of cooking/preparation involved arkonite_babe? Do you cook Japanese food?
  • A wee bit of prep involved, but not too bad. It's a great way to use up leftovers ;)
I don't really cook Japanese food as such, I might use a lot of the flavours involved in japanese cooking or at a push make sushi or rice balls.
Funny you ask that question actually, this came in my email today and makes things a bit clearer

All the ingredients I buy are either from MR T (they do stock some items, mostly for making sushi) or the Asian foodstores in Belfast. You can buy all this online, from places like Japan Centre or Wing Yip, but it will work out more expensive.

If you'd like any more info, ask on here or PM me :)

  • i've fallen off the wagon too - i managed to lose 6lb in a few weeks, then lost my job and the thoughts of dieting made me depressed.

Feeling a bit better about the whole job thing so might get stuck back in!
  • I've put weight on after last weekend's combined birthday/valentine celebratory night away :( (2lbs)

Back on my bento lunches now, so hoping to get the lbs off again!

mofopants, so sorry to hear about your job. I can imagine that must have knocked you right off track.

    arkonite_babe, 2lbs isn't bad for a birthday/Valentine's celebration! You will be fine. :D
