  • I haven't weighed myself yet. Must do that now and post back in a bit..........

*edited to add* Nothing off this week at all, still I suppose that's a plus that I haven't put anything on ;)
  • Hi everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the slightly warmer weather. Should make it easier to get out and about. Might try to do what you did Belfastgirl + walk to/from my coffee treats!
AB, staying the same is good especially if you were out for a nice meal. If you are being healthier overall then I wouldn't worry. I'm the same too really as I seem to move up + down a small bit. I thought doing a bit more exercise would help but not so far!
  • Hi weightlosers :)

I am in agony today due to over enthusiasm at the gym yesterday (have actually gone so far as to take painkillers!). But I have managed to fit in two short walks just to try and keep the old muscles moving. That said I wasn't exactly moving fast :) but anything is better than nothing. Needless to say I did not make it to the gym this morning.

Not the most sensible of weekends but could have been worse. Really hoping my 1lb loss from earlier in the week sticks around for officially weighing myself tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is doing good....it's amazing how much the stretch in the evenings and mornings is helping me focus on this.

By the way anyone else planning to give anything up (or take anything up) for lent? I'm still thinking about it...but giving up cheese is under consideration as is taking up an evening walk...any views?

belfastgirl - I am giving up chocolate, sweets, biscuits, cakes and crisps for Lent, same as every year! I thought about cheese as well but that would be too much, and besides, I only eat cheese about once a week so that would not be as effective. Hopefully it will help me to lose weight. An evening walk would be a good one, hmmm...

Wow that is most impressive, well done!! Makes my paltry efforts seem very small :) although giving up cheese would be a real wrench for me:o

EDITED TO SAY you would think that giving up booze would have occurred to me wouldn't you. But it hadn't till just now. Hmmm...gonna have to think some more.

Disaster I put on a pound this week at WW this week. DW lost 3 lbs means she has lost more than me now @ 19 1/2 while I have lost 18 1/2.

belfastgirl23, don't be daft thinking that you are giving up 'paltry' things! Cheese is a big favourite of yours so I know it will be very hard. I am simply giving up sugar in all its evil forms. :D

    ABSOLUTLY:p
  • Hi all. Belfastgirl23, I hadn't even THOUGHT about Lent till you wrote about it! Has anyone made a decision yet? It would kill me to say no to wine and cheese and I do have lots of cheese in the house atm, so not very MSE to throw it out! Might try to go walking 3 times a week as that really would be a big thing for me.
